- Welcome to the final video in my series on making an 18th Century version of Sarah Sanderson from Hocus Pocus! In this series, I will take the classic Disney witch and make her into my own original design inspired by the 1780s. Like all of my historical costumes, I strive for adequacy, not accuracy as I am still learning and growing as a costume maker. I would love to see some wig styling that would be so interesting. The costume is fantastic. I'm cuddled up in bed watching you with two dogs and a cat. I don't think I will be dressing up for Halloween, I am more pure witch and need to contact some spirits that have recently passed.
In the UK we also have a celebration on the 5th November, where we have bon fires and fireworks 🎆. This symbolises the gun powder plot and Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up the houses of Parliament in 1605. The land near my house was used to make gun powder which was actually used at the time. Best wishes to you all x
