    If you are ever in the mood to torture yourself with that fabric again, a small tip. A heated craftknife - aka a woodburner with an exacto blade tip does wonders for cutting it out and sealing your cut lines in one move by fusing that edge. I usually work over sacrificial cardboard with it because it will melt my cutting mat, occasionally I'll do a silicone mat but those can be cut by the blade itself and I don't like damaging them in that way. I do keep a silicone mat nearby so I can set the tool down safely while it's hot.

    • @Amelia-pp4wm
      @Amelia-pp4wm 2 месяца назад +3

      That does sound safer than my approach, which is to light a candle and then slowly pass the cut edge through the heat column to melt the cut edges so they fuse. It's not super precise, but it does feel satisfying 😅

    I'm not trying to be an "Um Actually" here, just offering a pointer ...
    When you're doing the 'pen on a string' circle thing, the string needs to be as close to the tip of the pen as possible. Having it on the "butt" end means it wobbles and the line is squiggly :-)

    This kind of content is actually the most valuable- it’s unique, creative, and you’re putting real effort into your craft, which makes it enjoyable to watch. Most content I see now is either reactions to other content, purely sales, or little to no effort. Your channel is great!

    I think the bodice needs to be gathered more at the top and bottom, thats why it's so weirdly balloony. That and then ironed in place would keep that volume less unruley

    When you first showed off the fabric I was like "Oh, shot silk! Very fancy" and then very quickly no, I realized it is not. I'm very sorry, that looks miserable.
    Glorious costume, I love it so much! It's amazing!

      This dress feels like the 'dressy' version (pun intended) of his blue robe in "Sword in the Stone"! 😆 As another commenter suggested, it's very "Merlin does Pride", and I love that gorgeous iridescent fabric (albeit nowhere near skin, yikes! Scratchy!!)
