Fishing for TARPON Under Bridges with LIVE PINFISH

- In this video, I went tarpon fishing under bridges using live pinfish as bait. There have been a ton of juvenile tarpon around the Tampa Bay area lately, all around 5-40 pounds. They're feeding on small baits around inshore bridge pilings and passes as they migrate through the area. This video is made up of three separate mornings where I targeted these small tarpon. I had to learn through trial and error, but I was eventually able to hook into a couple tarpon!

"Have a good day!" You're the man.
I love that "oh crap" feeling you get when they start pulling drag that hard.
Got my first 100lb tarpon this year in Captiva Island. Very first cast just as the sun was coming up on a big live pinfish. Almost spooled me but chased her down and 30 mins later had her boatside for some great pics! They are such an awesome fish and fight like hell to the bitter end. Gonna have a nice big mount to go with my 127lb Pacific Sailfish down in my man cave hopefully by X-Mas! Tight lines brotha😎
These videos put me to sleep and I mean that in the best way like very clean, not swearing all the time , relaxing a fun 😂🥰
about a week ago i saw you fishing the same place. i hollered at you from the bridge on my way to honeymoon. "see ya dude!" hahaa youre a local celeb now
nice snapper! YUM.
Them Chopas beeline past any Pilchards to the " Safety " lol of the Pilars. Nice time out, Dude.

Never been Tarpon fishing. But I really like your videos.
Pinfish can definitely be an underrated bait! Good stuff!
I would love to catch a Tarpon. Just started fishing here in TB last year and i've always been worried that my setup would be too light. I have a similar setup that you were using so it's exciting to see that it can be done! Great video as always.
Love it!!
LETS GOOOOO! So sick dude
I Love Mangrove Snappers!
Brilliant 🎣🤟🏻
Nice job!
Great fishing dude

Been there in Channel 2 & 5 drowning Mullet waiting on the Silver King to Strike. Way cool..!
Damn, those tarpon put up a fight!!!
Sick bro
Fire bro put on for the 727
I caught a Tarpon back in June under Sandkey bridge. 5 feet. 90 minute fight. It was crazy. Got 4 great jumps and a ton of runs. On live pinfish. Best catch ever for me.
I fish the sandkey bridge all the time but can never get one. We’re you just freelining?
BIG OLE POON🎣🎣🎣
Lit af
Nice CATCH
Great video man. If you ever find yourself up in Savannah GA area let me know. I fish and film up here and would love to have you onboard. I too have a 22BXBR
Another great video! Do you notice a big difference between the battle 2 and the battle 3?
The big greenies are at the skyway, seen dozens of tarpon there last week.
Love that bridge.
Where is it
@@benitomartinez87 in the greater tampa bay area
Shhhh....
Love to see a good tarpon bite
I bet if after you gave those Tarpon a couple more hard pumps you would set that hook in there better. They have such hard mouths. Good video
Nice catch. Those juveniles appear to be resident and make appearances on those really strong tides. I got two this summer/early fall from my paddle board on the edges of deep holes at peak tide flow on pinfish as well. Congrats
We've caught big snapper there while sheep fishing with mud crabs. They are always there.
What size are the Sheepshead and I honestly don't know... Are they good to eat..?
@@Duschbag sheep are delcious, weve caught them up to 6 lb.s in the clearwater \dunedin area. There are bigger.
@@mirandamaher9465 All I know about them is that they fight pretty darn well...
Hey man. Great vids like usual. Are you catching the greenbacks and pins near the bridge? I have had decent luck on the opposite side of it. Ive had to chum a ton to get a decent bit of bait. Be careful of those leatherjackets. Cant wait to come back home for vacation and do some fishin!
I'm catching them on a grass flat that's close by. Same deal, lots of chumming but they eventually show up
@@SeeYaDude Gotcha! THanks man. Keep up the good vids. Makin me antsy to come back and fish a ton.
All love over here just trying to give you advice
What time of year and what bridge?
Do you know the name of that bridge
He said “little guy” like bro 20 pound tarpon will work you if you don’t got the proper gear and also fuck up your hand and fingers if you’re not careful
i hooked a 40lb there the other day and then i got spooled
What bridge is this ????
Did you ever find out what bridge this is?
I don't know if he'll be willing to say but there are MANY that hold Juvie Tarpon. You'll never hook up on a fish that jumps so much. Well perhaps Snook... 🤔
You should start using bigger set ups when you catch bigger fish like that the tarpon looked very tired out after you released him that fish most likely died or got ate by a shark…
Most people in this area (Tampa Bay) don't normally target/know how to target/catch 'larger' fish so it's more a lack of experience, I think your suggestion is good
i hate when people blow the bite up. if ur a local then you know exactly where this lol. at least wait I’ll the bite goes down. 💀
