How are you guys liking the underwater footage? I want to drop a GoPro down at all of my offshore spots to learn what the bottom actually looks like and what species are really down there. I'm also working on a rig to keep the GoPro stable while on the bottom
Love the underwater stuff! That noise you're hearing is barnacles and coral going off. Our guide in Mexico will use that sound to locate the reefs we dive on, by putting his ear on the bottom of the boat...
Another great video man. Keep up the hard work! That's sick to catch that redfish offshore! Cool seeing the snook on the reef too. Threw my gopro into a wreck that was 20 miles out 55ft deep and saw snook down there chilling with the Goliaths haha. I think that sound you're hearing is your trolling motor repositioning to stay anchored.
Cool stuff man. Don’t know about the noise but the first thing I thought of was the focus adjusting on the GoPro. Could be wrong. Awesome video. Keep’em coming.
My thoughts. It’s the reef rocks. We would take out the aluminum boat off the beach looking for live bottom. It sounded like popcorn popping through the hull. Great fishing without a depth finder.
The sound is always there at this particular reef. I can never figure out what it is... When freediving over there I hear it a lot and it always freaks me out like my phone is in my pocket. I do usually spot a Goliath after hearing it so I'm not sure if it has something to do with them hiding under a pile or a eel or what.
Great video. Any chance of sharing this public location? So that those of us that just seem to only feed the fish might have a better chance at catching something that would be a keeper?????
I literally just tie my fishing line to the gopro underwater case and then tie an egg weight to the tag end to help it stay down and mostly upright. I'm working on making a rig that'll really make the footage more stable
@@SeeYaDude Heck yeah I mean it’s already sweet actually watched again on the tv instead of phone awesome details. Those sounds, I have heard that before diving for stone crab near the skyway years ago.
They’re all over the place in tropical waters around the Caribbean, Atlantic, and Gulf, but around Tampa they’re usually found further offshore than just 3 miles. I rarely catch them at all on my boat because I rarely go further than 20 miles offshore, but recently they’ve been showing up much shallower
@@SeeYaDude whats the likelihood youll share those GPS locations...? Comin home for vacation. Hoping to go fishing. would love to rent a boat and go out and fish. cheers! (also, im half joking with the gps but by all means share ;) )
Hudson has seawall snapper. I drove there. Stood on the seawall for like 25/30 minutes and caught three fat snappers. 15.5, 16, 16 inch. I only had 4 baits so next time I go I will bring more baits.
But then I went out Saturday without any cameras and we caught keeper red grouper and what would’ve been a couple keeper gags. It’s the camera curse I swear 😂

I think it’s a win win because you find out if there’s big fish and see the bottom so it saves time and I also like seeing it so I think it’s good
super interesting i like it
Yea man. Cool footage for sure.
Like the underwater footage, to you use any kind of light filter on the camera?
You live in Florida?

Love that underwater footage. Great day of fishing!
Thanks!
Thank you, I really appreciate it!
Nice catch guys and the video is awesome also.
Keep catching and I’ll keep watching
That noise was your trolling motor rotating while holding you on spot, great video and really good snapper bite.

That was an epic day for snapper for sure. Awesome video!!!!
Awesome fishing, I need to start dropping my GoPro down. That's great footage
These underwater footage are great!

16" mangrove snapper....nice 👍
Oh ya, the underwater stuff is great!
just got my boat fixed i cant wait to get out there!!
Good luck out there Scottie!! Wish I still had my boat.
Good timing, the fishing is getting really good right now!
Awesome day on the water, dude. Nice footage on the go pro
Nice action!! Amazing how that snapper did not fall overboard.
Love the underwater footage, crazy how the fish don't give a dang about the camera.
They’re definitely curious about it. I’ve heard that gag grouper really don’t like it and will often leave the spot completely
great near shore day

Awesome video buddy! What are those fish with the black dots on their tails?
When are you going to do a video walk through of the new boat?

Clearwater or Dunedin reef? Wow you got lucky they usually don’t hold that many fish.
Very good luck 👍❤️👏
Fire video man, wonder what’s coming next 👀
I have a strange feeling that there will be another video from this reef soon…
the noise couldve been your trolling motor changing positions?
Those fishes were getting messages about the go pro hanging around
What kind of set up do you use to drop your Go Pro Down and keep it horizontal?

I caught a yellow tail almost the same size in 3 feet of water along a rock jetty in Aruba.. where do they normally go?

@See Ya Dude very interesting... hopefully, you can do a nice CCC with some. 😎🌴
the sound is probably your trolling motor
Didn't really see any grouper on the gopro footage. Maybe what ate your pinfish and broke the hook wasn't a grouper but maybe a big snook?
I was thinking that too after going through the underwater footage. We did catch some small gags, but nothing bigger than like 14”

Are these reefs productive during the early spring? Say around the first of April?
'Popping' shrimp is the noise I was told.
What month was that on April June July?
Clicking sounds like pistol shrimp
Sounds like shrimp
How bout sharing the reef name so I can take some kids out there to have some fun.

Here’s a link that lists all artificial reefs across florida: myfwc.com/fishing/saltwater/artificial-reefs/locate/
How can I find public reefs like this?

Thankyou very much, this is super helpful.
Your girlfriend doesn't like to touch the fish?
Nah, it’s more the fact that I just REALLY like touching the fish
Those grouper have a way of punking you out everytime…dont they?!?!😎
