if you have the pc version, just get the unofficial patch mods (one for the main game and one for each DLC)
it fixed it for me, as followers are supposed to be essential and only killable by the player (nobody else) or by scripted events like the quest for Boethia.

I think he means Emerald weapons/armor.
They have there purposes tough,
In some quests you are asked to give gems,
you also need gems to craft the divine statue's for the basement shrines in the Heartfire DLC and to create those spider scrolls (throwable spider spells) from the Dragonborn DLC
along with that they are also the best items to sell as they usually pay up the most, especially if you finished the quest "no stone unturned" what gives you a bonus gem find in chests, making you the richest bastard in Skyrim.

lol it helps, but once you get the boon from the crown from the no stone unturned quest you find about 3 gems per chest you loot, at higher level this usually means 1 flawless per chest, meaning you can do one dungeon you already have a bag of gems (instead of looking for dragons to sell there bones or waisting tons of time on boring alchemy recipes) you just do what you usually do and end up dragging around a entire bag of gems, pretty much making it a quest to look for merchants who still have money left to sell your gems to.
Bethesda made sure that if you actually manage to finish "no stone unturned" that you become rich at the most easy way possible.
I would have liked to see the Dovahkiin try and put a basket over the "merchant's" head.

he would have to put them over the cameras heads to, I just got skyrim recently I have played for 16 hours now and I was thieving from the start (its soooo much funner to play against the law! and yes of course I'm in the thieves guild) and I just found out today while stealing from the arch mage in winter hold that if I put a bucket on there head I can't be seen!

Everyone complaining about this being "inaccurate" and "cringy" for that reason need to recognize they're parodying multiple RPG games and not just Skyrim. The shout he uses instead of "fus ro dah" is "yol toor shul", the fire breathing shout from Skyrim, one of over 40 shouts unlockable in the game. The emerald shield is a World of Warcraft reference, and the potions, ingredients, and alchemy skills shown are a cross between WoW and Morrowind. Baalgrash is the Satan-like entity and main villain of the original edition of Exalted, a well-known table-top RPG similar to D&D and Warhammer. "For Kalmir!!!" just before getting shot and the name "Kalmir" for his fictional land is the name of the dwarven female guard to the mountains in WoW. The armor design is Skyrim influenced but the names and terminology are based on the entirety of the Elder Scrolls series and the music is from Wizards 101. In other words, it's a send-up of the RPG genre as a whole and not one game only.
As the writer... you're absolutely right. We originally wrote this as a generic RPG leaning heavily on the themes from Skyrim. Also, I kinda just made up a lot of the words and I think I just got lucky that they happened to sound like stuff from other games.
The man himself speaks!!! Thank you very much for backing my statement as it was obviously your intent of a pastiche and not a direct parody of specific aspects of one game only. A great example along these lines (that parodies WoW and the online versions of D&D, Warhammer, and original Dark Souls) similar to yours is the American Dad episode "Douchebags and Dragons" and the console command cheats gags ("Roodpart" and "Rothaga", XD ) as a perfect comparison.
I completely agree and the fire shout is fun... Still prefer unrelenting force though...
UselessDood Good ol' "Fus Ro Dah"... The best part about that main and basic shout is when the chips are down and your health is low and you need a way to take on without a follower five or six people such as bandits, the enemy faction you chose for the Great Civil War Quest-line, various leveled beasts, pissed-off orcs if you waltz into their strongholds before winning approval from them, Falmer in the depths of the caves (which are great as they trap and channel your shout like a wind-tunnel), automatons in Dwemer ruins (same as the caves, tight spots channel your force shout wonderfully), whole Forsworn villages and fortifications (you can blow the witch-worshiping, child-killing barbarians off the cliffs most of their villages were built on or with their "capital" into the slaughterfish-infested portion of the White River near the Blade Sanctuary very easily :D ), and guards of towns when you can't pay the fine and don't want to lose your skills you bust your nads working to hone for that level, send them flying!!! Especially off cliffs and/or into the ocean to their death while you carefully work your way down there and steal their crap and keep the good stuff if you can use it, and sell the rest for mead-money. :)

I finished skyrim, completed every single mission, mastered every skill, banged every chick and.... accidentally deleted the goddam save. Yeah.
