It has been two decades that every time I’m down and need an uplift mentally, I watch this video. My respect to all the instruments, especially Yani, but I always advance the video to 2:37 to listen to the bass part. One-of-the-kind bass piece. He is amazing! Violin piece is filled with senses and emotion. She is amazing too. But bass is my favorite.

A friend of mine turned me on to Yanni over 35 years ago and I have been hooked ever since. The man is a musical genius. Sometimes I have listened to him for hours. The mood that Yanni's music put's you in is beyond words. He has a God given talent. The world is a better place because of this God given talent. Karen Briggs....where to start. She has a God given talent that brings joy to people all over the world. No matter how many times I listen to her or Yanni I still get goosebumps and raised hair. The musicians that play with him are also musical greats in their own right. How can you not be moved? I encourage people to give Yanni a listen to. I know I was glad I did. You can't judge a book by its cover.

And the other guy here is right, there have been others, but still to this day nobody has been able to get on par with her mind blowing performance here at the Acropolis. I'm not just saying one song, I'm saying all of them.
But you can see when she's playing here that she just knows that this is her time, that this was a once in a lifetime kind of performance and you can just see it in her face that she knows it too!!

This violin solo is one of the most beautiful renditions Ive ever seen. She starts quietly, like welcoming the first drops hitting the ground, then she brings it to a climax, like she was dancing in the rain, and then she makes it scream and shout loud, like feeling so much happiness and pleasure. This is beyond perfection, i never get tired of listening to this masterpiece. Thank you, Yanni.

To me Luiz the voilin solo is the same interpetition that you made, but its on a side of starting something, then progressing, then beating up the rivals and then lastly overtaking them, in a way they dont come ahead. Taking a leap so faar ahead that it sets a benchmark......

Who else agrees?? Just watching this one song you should be able to tell that I am right. Karen Briggs probably never expected that this live concert would be so HUGE back when it was performed 25 years ago! But it's still great even today!! What makes it even better though is that anyone who watches her solo in this song should be able to tell how much love and joy and happiness she emits from performing! She knows she's participating in a once in a lifetime kind of performance and you can see that on her face as she does it! It's impossible not to respect and love her ability and sheer unrivaled talent with a Violin 🎻!!

When she plays she conveys all that is positive, energenic and balanced in the world as we become just as infectiously enthusiastic as she is! The drummer also. Both portray such emotional drive when they play. But there will never be another Karen Briggs. Man she is awesome!

As often, when a day may go ugly, this music has been a source of inspiration for years to change that mood.
The headphones come out, the volume goes up, sitting down and wash within the cascade of vibrations that splash my body and soul, to realign and purge what doesn't belong there.
It never fails to charge my imagination to produce some great Art. 48hrs at a time. That allows you to pick one instrument and focus on that one thru the whole album. You'll be surprised but what you miss just playing thru. Every little jingle or note, comes alive. And the music would be poorer without them. A Masterpiece of Yanni and company. Bravo.

you should really question the validity of your perception of what BLACK is- what YOU think is based on being weak minded and brainwashed and has nothing to do with reality or maybe her self perception and other people's perception. People like you have a mental attitude that propagates some of the most invalid constructs that humans have in modern society. But based on your profile name, I guess that's the business you are in .
