Bibury is one of the most photogenic places in the world. And it has been photographed many times so I understand your trepidation. But I have a slightly alternate view. I think it so beautiful that you could film it every day in a slightly different way and it would never get boring. Having said that, my praise may seem a bit meaningless but you have more than done it justice. The one thing you very rarely see in Bibury is an empty street. You have found a particular moment to film that imbues the whole village with a colour scheme I have not seen before. This is a really wonderful piece of work. Thanks as usual for giving us a glimpse of the Cotswolds and allowing us to take a walk with you.
Hello. Thank you so much for your comment. It is far from meaningless, in fact what you have put, means a lot to me, so thank you for that. Also, you are absolutely right, no two days would ever be the same in terms of filming, there will always be some kind of subtle variations, and this is why I think it is good to go back to the same location several times each year. All the best to you. OAAW
Hi, Claire. Broadway is lovely too, I completely understand why you are missing it already. Speaking of which, I have a couple of Broadway videos on the channel :). All the best to you. OAAW
Thank you very much for your kind words, it is good to hear that you are enjoying the content. Stay tuned for more relaxing walks. All the best to you. OAAW
Ah, now this!🌟🍀🌲🐦🐥🐔 Is living! Such Scenery more importantly what a soundtrack! Nature has got hers on full display: Lush green fine foliage growing wild and all about greenest hues along this waterway and the birds are all talkin up such a storm! Happy Mallards bandying about in the dark cool water in the background proud Red roosters adding their Cockeroos "Good Morning!" Others are fiercly cawing and crawing : all these fancy birds! Various cooings of sorts....yes, Bibury is THE Place to be 👍🙏😎🙆🌟💖Thank You! As for me ahm stuck in my bed hiding out 95° of heat supposed to be Fall yet no sign of colder temps. me an my pooch takin respite in thhe AC both of us dreaming of Greener pastures and here you are Bringing such Magic to me! Thank you Walking tours! Slow and steady bringing the B E A U T Y and all of Gods Treasures to some of us so far away and yearnings for the Greenery. God Bless you ~ Wild Irish Blessings to you & Brave Onwards! 🍀🌲🌳🍁🏆💖🌟🙆😎 ~
Hello, Yasmin. Thank you very much for your comment. I am glad you are enjoying the content, new walks are added every week, so plenty to choose from :). All the best to you. OAAW
So peaceful and magical. Watching this video is like going back in time. Makes me very nostalgic, wish I could go back and live tin England still. Thank you !!
Love Bibury, but it is very busy all year round. So many villages to explore along the Coln though so plenty of choice with less crowds. You did a great job of the filiming. Thanks.
Good evening, Lyn. Yes, plenty of lovely villages to explore along the Coln. That is most kind of you to say so...thank you :). All the best to you. OAAW
Filmed very quietly, so that you can see everything clearly. Fortunately no annoying music, but the environment as it is, that rarely happens. Excellently done!!
I love the fade in from black and white. I've photographed and filmed Bibury so many times but every time, for whatever reason, I felt a little disappointed. The usual culprit was too many people. You have completely avoided this problem by finding the hour before the first coaches arrive. I have filmed after the coaches have left but there are always a few stragglers snapping selfies and chatting quite loudly right up until the sun goes down. One day, it would be nice to have a camera that operates well in low light. But this video is great. The light offers those wonderfully subtle shades and colours and you saved the most famous view for last. Sorry that you had to reroute. I often miss the most famous parts of a town or village due to such obstructions. Next time. Thanks for taking us on this lovely walk.
Evening, Jago. Thank you so much for your comment. I very much appreciate and value your feedback. I very much enjoyed your visit to Bibury and hope you may go back again at some point. So for this filming I was back using the Dji Pocket 2 again, it is nice that the footage does not suffer from the horrible horizontal roll but I must confess that after using a 10 bit camera then going back to 8 bit, I can definitely notice a big difference in image quality. Hopefully Dji will bring out a P3 within the next couple of months. Thanks again. All the best to you. OAAW
Bibury is a very pretty and charming village. With a lot of charm. The houses are magnificent. The river is very beautiful too and there are lots of ducks!!. Thank you Friend OAAW 😀😀😀😀😀
Thank you, OAAW!! I had a bit of catching up to do! Aldsworth, Hazelton, and of course Bilbury. All amazingly relaxing scenery and sound. I can small the freshness in the air after the rain here in Bilbury. There is something to be said about both the sunny walks and the walks after a fresh rain. Though my olfactory receptors are here in the US, I can practically smell the air in the Cotswold. How gorgeous is the canal at 10:15 with the sound of the small falls and water fowl. PURE BLISS!🙂💚👏🚶♂
Thanks, Jeff :). You have been busy catching up, and for which, as always I greatly appreciate your kind support. Enjoy the rest of your week. All the very best to you. OAAW
In awe of your talents for the minute details of time of day (or night) in your videos. Your thoughtfulness in subject matter and quiet enhance my heart. I think deep within with thank you whispering under my thoughts for all who live in Bibury and are its keepers over the centuries.
I'm late to the party due to travels. What a gorgeous place Bibury is, OAAW. Thanks for sharing. I can see how this place might be a major tourist attraction. What is your personal favorite aspect of Bibury say in comparison to the other village walks such as Snowshill in the Cotswolds?
Greetings, Michael. Thank you so much for your kind contribution. I hope your travels were pleasant ones. I am glad you enjoyed our walk in Bibury. Hands down, my favourite aspect of Bibury is Arlington Row, it really is like stepping back in time, the cottages are absolutely stunning,! Thanks for walking with me. All the best. OAAW
@@OutandaboutWalking I agree. Reading up about Arlington Row, I learned that Henry Ford once wanted to buy and ship these houses to Michigan. I'm thankful his bid was rejected. I'm also finding out that it's actually possible to stay in one of those cottages (#9) leased out by the National Trust. So very interesting. All the best OAAW.
Good morning. Thank you for this one - if I go this way, it is driving through to get to Burford, and I didn't realise there was much more to the village! Normally a lot more coaches and Japanese too! I did get my walking boots on after the last time I commented, and encouraged by you. We started off from the Picnic area near the Golf Club/Calstone and walked through and up to Cherhill Monument, passing by a lovely Church with very old graffiti in the porch area. Purton has a nice walk too, near to the Pear Tree and going passed the Cricket Club. I think you're more Cotswolds and Glos/Wilts border and I'm Wiltshire but will travel more now maybe! 😊
Good evening, Claire. I remember our previous conversation, that sounds like an absolutely lovely route to walk and really nice to know you felt inspired to do so :). All the very best to you. OAAW
Wonderful! Have been to Bibury and had lunch at the Swan hotel. 🦢Would have loved to experience the town in the solitude you’ve shared with us! Thanks for this. Liked the new opening shot! 🙌🏻
Such a charming, scenic beautiful town! Love hearing the birds sing & other wildlife! Everything has such soft beautiful lines from the buildings, the curves in the road & walking bridge. Thank you again for bringing us on another gorgeous walk with you. 🍁🧡🍂
You are very welcome, Michele. I am glad you enjoyed our little Bibury walk and still plenty more scenic & relaxing walks to come :). All the best to you. OAAW
