Funny thing about this creature, it is called the beast of nurgle, and is actually a jolly creature, seeing everything smaller then it as a pet, and goes in for a big hug. What it does not know, however, is that its skin is absolutley fatal to any being, so it does not know the creature it hugs, is dying in agony. Ones this happens, it gets sad, and moves on to find a new pet to hug to death.

I actually had a dog as a child that did something similar. We had these hug rats that came into the yard, and the dog though they were his best buddies. He would play with them, which usually involved grabbing them and tossing them around. He didn't not understand that as they were much smaller than himself, they could not survive his rough play. He get confused and sad when they died and would go find another one.
Of course he was killing rats, so we hardly minded.

Trailers are character-driven because they show us our faction leaders and their motives and agendas. When you play, however, you play as a whole faction, not just that one character. There is a lot of story in the game via different quests and missions. Ultimately you are the author of your hero's story. You are leading them in battles and making difficult decisions. Trailers show like an introduction to them but it is you (the player) who writes their legend throughout the campaign. These lords and heroes gain different traits that define their personalities. For example, you execute captives after battle your lord will get the executioner trait and enemies will be afraid of him. You are present in cities when new buildings are finished you get builder trait and new buildings are cheaper...etc. It is still a very character-driven game even tho it may not look like it :)

Tzeench’s forces may not seem like much, but there are few armies that are scarier in pure magical power, and they’re the true masters of the Winds of Magic.
Also, little fun note: that massive jagged structure in the second trailer at the end is the Brass Citadel, the dwelling of Khorne and illuminated high above it is the Blood God himself, the first true depiction of him in media.
The Ogres were originally meant to be the perfect species to completely resist the powers of Chaos as they were being designed by the Old Ones (The same beings that the Lizardmen worship and seek out and original owners of the world), but at the coming of the Great Cataclysm and the Collapse of the Polar gates (Portals the Old ones used for travel), The sudden arrival of Chaos throughout the ruined gates forced The Old Ones to flee and leave their ultimate creations unfinished, and so the Ogres began to develop as they are now, alongside many other events which affected them into the beings they are now.
The Ogre Kingdom lore is actually quite neat and worth looking into, although that can easily be said for every single Warhammer faction, as they’re isn’t a single bad or boring faction amongst the universe really!!! XD

Some context regarding the two playable human factions in the game:
Kislev: a pan-Slavic fantasy nation primarily inspired by Poland and Russia. They are the northeastern neighbors of the Empire of Man and directly border Chaos-worshipping factions. They're often the first line of defense against Chaos invasions from the north and as such are a people hardened by frequent conflict and death. They worship a pantheon of gods, the chief of which is Ursun (the bear god/ice god). Currently, there is political turmoil between Tzarina Katarin (ruler of Kislev & ice witch) and Kostaltyn, the leader of The Great Orthodoxy (Kislev's religious body) after the death of Katarin's father Tzar Boris.
Cathay: fantasy China, ruled by the Celestial Dragon Emperor, his wife (the Moon Dragon), and their children. It's the largest empire in the setting and until recently was only a minor footnote in the setting. We still don't know a lot about it as they've only just begun creating lore for it and its characters but the Empire is divided up between the dragon children, each of whom are associated with one of the major lores of magic. The two we see in the trailers are Miao Ying (the storm dragon) and her Brother Zhao Ming (the iron dragon). The Chaos god most interested in Cathay, and thus their biggest threat, is Tzeentch, as he sees their cultural and religious focus on harmony and order as a challenge.

There is also the youngest one )that is the main object of the campaign) who ventured north and is currently missing but implied to be alive.
There are two that we know nothing about and the last one is the spirit dragon, who might be dead or might just be sleeping beneath cathay. (but you can actually see that one when you use the summon ancestors spell)

I'am just going to leave this little info here:
    Legendary characters in these trailers:
    KISLEV LEGENDARY LORDS:
    TZARINA KATARIN:
Ascending to the throne and crown in the wake of her father’s bloody death fighting against the hordes of Chaos, Katarin has wasted no time cementing her grip upon Kislev. She is, in every way, a totalitarian ruler. She is stern and unflinching and will readily have rivals removed by agents of the crown if she cannot win them over with cold reason. The base of Katarin’s power, beyond hereditary right, is her extraordinary magical prowess. She is the greatest Ice Witch for generations, capable of magical feats more deadly and devastating than any other Ice Witch in Kislev.
    SUPREME PATRIARCH KOSTALTYN:
Kostaltyn is the Supreme Patriarch of the Ursunite Cult and as the highest ranking clergy in the nation, the de facto leader of the Grand Orthodoxy. With wild hair, wilder eyes, and wither-thin limbs, Kostaltyn is a ghoulish figure, robed in the finery of the resurgent Ursunite faith.
He is a howling, angry firebrand, screaming furious rhetoric at the enemy and urging the warriors around him to fight on with a fearful mixture of encouragement and threat. For he is himself fearless, able to recover from any wound quickly and thus inspire his flock to run pell-mell at foes that any sane person would flee!
With complete control of the faith that binds Kislev together, Kostaltyn whips his followers into a holy fervour. He despises the machinations of the Tzarina and her Ice Court and considers them usurpers and magic-wielding heretics.
    KHORNE LEGENDARY LORD:
    SKARBRAND:
The Bloodthirster Skarbrand was once the greatest of all Khorne’s Daemons. No other had piled so many skulls before the Skull Throne. One dark day, Skarbrand’s fierce pride grew hot and, blinded by rage, he smote the Blood God a mighty blow. Incandescent with wrath, Khorne cursed Skarbrand’s name and choked all personality from him, leaving only the bottomless rage that had caused him to attack. Since that fateful day, Skarbrand has wandered the mortal and immortal realms, drowning his sins in the blood of the slain - though he no longer has the wit to fully understand why.
    GRAND CATHAY LEGENDARY LORDS:
    MIAO YING, THE STORM DRAGON:
Miao Ying believes herself to be the strongest Dragon sibling, and lords her power and position of authority as protector of the Great Bastion over her brothers and sisters. Despite her earned arrogance, she is well-aware of the significance of the task laid at her feet to protect Grand Cathay from the hordes of Chaos to the North. The constant scheming of the mortal lords of Nan-Gau, her capital and unconquerable home, does not make it any easier.
    ZHAO MING, THE IRON DRAGON:
Ruler of the Western Provinces, the Iron Dragon is seen as a much more down-to-earth ruler and commander than his sister. Zhao Ming commands loyalty through comradeship, as well as his creation and use of powerful artifacts and magic items. He is one of the Empire’s premier alchemists and welcomes the same within his realm - much to the chagrin of some of his siblings.
Proximity to the Warpstone Desert and the Great Maw, still seeping with the destructive magic that created it, has led some to believe his mind is beginning to unravel. This would certainly explain some of the odd tendencies and decisions he makes, but it is still far from anything approaching insurrection or dangerous to Grand Cathay. While less favoured than his sister by the Celestial Dragon, their mother, the Moon Empress, has a soft spot for Zhao Ming.
    TZEENTCH LEGENDARY LORD:
    KAIROS FATEWEAVER:
Kairos can see things that are hidden even to Tzeentch. His right head sees possible futures as clear as day. No scheme is hidden from its sight and the infinite possibilities of tomorrow crystallise into irrefutable fact. Kairos’ left head sees the past without the petty colourations of perspective and bias. Valuable as this vision is, it comes with a heavy cost. Both of Kairos’ heads are blind to the present; he cannot see time as it passes - only events that are to come or whose time has already lapsed.
    OGRE KINGDOMS LEGENDARY LORDS:
    GREASUS GOLDTOOTH:
Tradelord Greasus Tribestealer Drakecrush Gatecrasher Hoardmaster Goldtooth the Shockingly Obese was one of many whelps sired by the infamous Gofg, Tyrant of the Goldtooth tribe. Like his brothers, Greasus grew up to become strong and fat. Unlike his brothers, he killed and ate his own father. As word spread of such prodigious deeds, many Tyrants decided to join the ruthless new leader of the Goldtooth tribe and soon, once again, the Ogre Kingdoms had an Overtyrant. These days, grown older, larger, louder and richer than ever, Goldtooth’s coffers fill faster than his Gnoblars can count. Yet Greasus’ rampant success has not diminished his greed, or his all-consuming desire to conquer everything he sees.
As the fattest lad around, Greasus rolls into battle on a custom-made, gnoblar-pushed cart stuffed with gold, gems, and plunder. The glory of being too rich to walk, writ large across the faces of his enemies. His iconic scepter is used equally to steer and smash skulls, while he is always chewing on a massive leg of meat, or equally using it to scratch himself. He is an inspiration and a hero to all Ogres, and a terror to fight on the battlefield.
    SKRAG THE SLAUGHTERER:
Skrag is the legendary Prophet of the Great Maw, also known as the Gore-Harvester and the Maw-that-Walks. Dragging his massive meat-pot behind him - attached to his back with a series of painful, tearing hooks and chains - Skrag hacks and rips at his enemies in a glorious blood-fuelled dedication to the Great Maw. In his wake, he leaves a trail of dismembered limbs and body parts, which it is the duty of his Gore-Gnoblars to retrieve and deposit into his cauldron.
His history is as sad as it is brutal, brought to his current sorry state by a Tyrant to whom he fed the wrong Gnoblar. However, the punishment only connected Skrag more to the Great Maw, making him one of the most powerful Gut Magic wielders in the world.
    NURGLE LEGENDARY LORD:
    KU’GATH PLAGUEFATHER:
Whilst other Great Unclean Ones work to spread the plagues already extant, Ku’gath, the Plaguefather, is fascinated by the breeding of new and virulent life. Ku’gath aims to one day breed a contagion that can infect the Gods themselves. The Plaguefather rides upon a massive palanquin bedecked with alchemical paraphernalia: vials full of seething powder, flasks of indescribable liquid and hessian sacks stuffed to bursting with Nurglings. This great bulk is held aloft by a carpet of straining Nurglings, and Ku’gath is attended on by countless others, all bred from the Plaguefather’s pox vats.
    SLAANESH LEGENDARY LORD:
    N’KARI:
N’Kari, the Arch-Temptor, is a notorious and ancient Keeper of Secrets that scours the immortal and mortal realms to experience the ultimate sensation and taste ecstasy in its purest form. Over recent millennia he has developed a hatred for the Elven twins of Ulthuan, and whatever his short-term goals, the next part of the plan will surely involve their eternal misery.

At first when you look at his followers you feel repulse and disgusted but the more you go in chaos lore the more you realize that he is by far the most reasonable and pleasant chaos god to live under. Under nurgle your body might change but you keep your sanity. You will never feel pain or discomfort but instead you will feel a never ending feeling of bliss and satisfaction paying no mind to your (presumably) disgustingly resilient exterior.

Out of these new ones I like the Daemon Prince the best. I like all the chaos gods depending on the mood so a character whos faction can choose any and all is perfect. I also generally like the more traditional gargoyle look of the daemon princes in Warhammer so thats perfect.
What I'm really looking forward to is what they'll add in the future with DLCs. The daemons got some pretty cool upgrades in the Age of Sigmar reboot of the franchise so it would be really interesting to see if they'll embrace some of the more unique daemons that came from it, especially slaanesh who got Glutos Orscollion, a big chariot mini-palace drawn by big clawn-armed men with a gluttonous half daemon man on top, Slaanesh followers in general got a huge upgrade in Age of Sigmar with their faction "Hedonites of Slaanesh".

@@singularleaf3895 I have heard that they said that aswell, but the context would be important for that quote. Because of course they won't add those weird insectoid skeletons or the golden space marine-like humans. But daemons aren't new to the age of sigmar, some like Sigvald changed but normal daemons in theory wouldn't be any different so I think they can get away with alot more of it.
They pretty much already have with the Keeper of Secrets, they didn't use to look like that in warhammer fantasy, they have the age of sigmar look in the game, so the doors are open.

26:00 With regards to your explanation, think less Risk and more chess where your Queen and King have names. You can get invested in specific units who have names, by naming the generic units, and by outfitting them with wargear and banners. I remember in Warhammer 2 I renamed a unit of Dwarf Rangers after they kept getting the drop on enemy Lords (army leaders), specifically wizards. They went from just some Rangers with axes I got on a whim to Ograk's Hunters (after a DND character of mine), who I would always use to take care of the accursed wizards. After a brutal battle left them dead, I would rename their successors in their honor as Ograk's Bearers. Or in another campaign, as Bretonnia, I named each leveled (as units can level-up) unit of knights after a properly Frankish name and their greatest kill (shouts out to Jean de Luc's Dragonslayers, a unit of Pegasus Knights who did the impossible). You can always play the game without this level of roleplay/attachment, but I've never enjoyed Total War as just a numbers game.

Your point that the trailers focus on character driven narrative vs mechanics based strategy is a good one! There is an incredible amount of character driven interaction that makes each faction/sub-faction feel unique. So in a sense it’s a bit of both! You should be somewhat invested in the faction leader and as you play it’s easy to grow attached to the individual units that survive and improve throughout each fight. The best campaigns generally double down on this. When you play as Broken-Axe, you’re quite literally cooking with Grom. Collecting ingredients and making meals is the goal, and cooking directly impacts how your army fights on the battlefield. so you’re always engaging with Grom and his cauldron mechanically and thus interacting with his character at the same time! A cool system for sure

Well, I maybe do not know much about those total war warhammer games, but I do know a lot about warhammer&40k in general, having read dozens of books and codexes, having played warhammer roleplaying games and many warhammer tabletop games from GW for the last decade. You said that those trailers were very character driven and to me this is all what warhammer is really about. You have dozens of fractions each of which having many named characters. You read about their stories in hundreds of books etc. So it is obvious that Total War developers went that way and presented it that way. It is much richer in lore than just some random npcs you see in those trailers. Nevertheless, that was good observation and I liked your reaction. Thanks for reacting! I really liked these trailers, I think they were very efficient in giving you the feel of the cultures they displayed.
The reason they go so much into the Legendary Lords is that you have to pick one as your "main" general, and who you choose can have huge effects on your faction and armies. For example, one Legendary Lord might make Dragons drastically cheaper to buy and keep in your army. They'll also do the voice acting for your Diplomacy screen, and will have missions to gather their signature wargear, and their own campaign styles and goals.
The Daemon Prince is almost perfect, I wish they'd explained a little better that these start out as humans- that's the goal for any Chaos worshipper. In such a cruel, dangerous, violent and oppressive world, Chaos offers real rewards, NOW not in some possibly imagined afterlife, and greatest of all is that of immortality - Daemonhood.

Turns out his benefactor Tzeentch resurrected him & given that book. In the trailer, it turns out Tzeentch sent him to Slaanesh's domain to meet up with the Architect (the crab armed one reaching for him at the end) give him/her said book.

Alright my response is prolly gonna be broken into two parts again so.... Bare with me! :P First post will be all the trailer stuff second post will be extra stuff to put it into perspective
1:08 - Kilsev is being assaulted by Daemons of Khorne. I'd assume you guys know this due to the 40k topics taht you guys have seen. The four faces u saw in the mirror were greater daemons representing the Chaos Gods, since the Chaos Gods themselves can't leave the warp and send their minions to do the work for them. Now heres a bit of interesting lore, The "ice" queen you guys mention her name is Tzarina Katarin and the cool part about it, is there isnt a whole lot of lore. We're both learning more about these characters together so to speak because her biggest thing was 1 turning Kilsev into an ice patch as was stated in the lore way back and 2 trolling grimgor ( the one guy that killed the gobbo ). Overall though, it was an intro trailer and a very good one to! As for the ending you guys were confused and rightfully so. The person who smiled at the end has really nothing to do with the trailer, what he did do was show us Grand Cathay. Meaning they announced Grand Cathay and all the haters who said here and said "NO CATHAY ISNT GONNA HAPPEN FUCK OFF!" Were just proven wrong. Milkandcookies explains this more a bit in his youtube video down below. All you need to do is watch the first five minutes and you'll get it
    ruclips.net/video/MhlriuxlUa8/видео.html
3:50 - Kilsev male and the person talking has turned to chaos due to feeling that fighting chaos is hopeless and that Kilsev will never win. Chaos corruption has affected him and thats why his hands also changed to. The female wonders into a corrupted part of the world and sees a Khorne's Avatar standing before her briefly. Overall though, yeah the guy gave up and now serves chaos which is odd because in normal lore, kilsev knows its the buffer zone between the world and Chaos. Its why the Empire and High Elves ( mostly empire ) have helped them a decent amount. Everything ranging from cannons to extra foot soldiers to sending imperial officers and so on. Because overall Kilsev hasn't had much lore brought into light
6:18 - Enter the World of Kilsev is just show casing Kilsev and how awesome they are along with again making it clear they are indeed holding back chaos. However all enter the worlds are amazing tbh and really well done! :P Kilsev is also all about bears. One of their main god's is a bear and is worshipped. His name is Ursun and thats who she refers to in this trailer as well "the mighty bear god"
7:23 - Enter the World of Khorne is like the other trailers in show casing this faction and how cool they are. The person speaking is Skarbrand and hes the big dude flying at the end. He shouldn't be flying because technically Khorne already threw him across the warp for 7 days and 7 nights after Skarbrand tried to betray him due to Tzeentch whispering secrets into Skarbrand's ear. Now he is trying to gain the "love" so to speak from his "father" ( Khorne ) and is set out to kill and slaughter in his name. Also your jaw dropping moment is a Bloodthirster, we saw one charge the bear as well and keep in mind these guys are generally army breakers. In the second post ill explain a little more as well but mostly the characters who fight them :D
8:18 - Remember Grand Cathay as I said up above? This is them, and now we're both REALLY gonna learn more about them together. Because they only had a few foot notes in history and most of it came from the End Times. So what ure seeing is basically new to all of us for the most part. I mean art wise at least and some other stuff, Grand Cathay has been given a vague army description before, but nothing we're seeing now. In this trailer though who you see is The Storm Dragon; Miao Ying ( Brand new character ) facing off against Tzeentch's forces whom is lead by Kairos Fateweaver ( A very flushed out and well known character ). Miao ( Meow ) is the one speaking and letting us know that if their wall fails Chaos can very well take over Grand Cathay and its her duty to hold the line. Kairos Fateweaver is a greater daemon of Tzeentch much like bloodthirsters and you saw them way back in the cutscene in WH1 but Kairos has two heads instead of one. One sees the past at all times and the other sees the future at all times, but is blinded by the present hence why fighting him is very dangerous, but he can be defeated and has been defeated. As for prettiness, I mean Tzeentch has very pretty views and magic since he is the god of Magic along with change :P
11:13 - Enter the World of Grand Cathay, like the others its just to show off Grand Cathay, however whos speaking in this trailer is Miao's brother ( Dragon Emperor and Empress both had IIRC 7 children ) and this guy is named Zhao Ming the Iron Dragon. Again keep in mind Grand Cathay is new to us all because these characters have never been talked about and the lore ( what little there was ) has been rewritten, for example the Dragon Emperor acts more like the God Emperor of Mankind in the 40k setting when in old lore he was more like Sigmar ( who is based off of Canon and became a god among men and slaughtered tons of people ) However the Dragon Emperor is the eastern style of it, now this has changed and so on.
12:25 - Enter the World of Tzeentch as stated before its to make Tzeentch's forces look cool in which they do lol plus a killer music beat Xd. The vulture is the Lord of Change greater daemon that we saw in WH1 trailer in the beginning, but yeah Tzeetnch is all about magic and change and thats what we get lol. IIRC in one of your videos when covering the Chaos Gods in 40k you guys labeled him as "hes a giant douche" :P
13:25 - FINALLY!!!! OGRES!!! YES!! Btw there is a song of this on loop for an hour long and it takes out the burp at the end ( the burp is cool but when listening to it a bunch it gets annoying xd ) However the OGRES are similar to greenskins in that they like to fight, however theyve been cursed with endless hunger due to the fact the Dragon Emperor ( Grand Cathay head leader ) brought down a big warp stone meteorite right on top of the ogres landscape and completely fucked them up. He killed 2/3's of them IIRC. Now just to let you know the Ogres were created by the Old Ones the same guys who created the lizardmen in order to fight chaos, but they weren't fully complete and so had some flaws, but due to the mixture of wanting to fight and constantly being hungry thanks to the Dragon Emperor they are kind of a pest to well everyone similar to greenskins. However, they can be used and have been used as mercs to fight battles, yet the problem is they do cost quite a bit to whomever has hired them and they arent exactly reliable since they can break and so on. Although they are a funny bunch and their leader that u see in the trailer his name is Greasus goldtooth and was killed by Grimgor in a duel to :P. In the end times the maw and the waaagh were considered the same though, but now I dont think this will be the case and their lore is changing to from what CA has presented so far! Regardless they are funny bunch! :P However your reactions were priceless as you both almost had complete opposites at times haha
14:32 - Enter the world of the Ogres once more just showing off how cool they are a few units that caught ur attention was the stonehorns and those big ol beasts are known to be the ridden monsters for the Ogres especially Tyrants because they represent power and status kinda like dragons for High Elves and such. As for the little "gobbo" people theyre called globnars and they serve much like the goblins for the greenskins in the sense they got some decent brains and are fairly clever/cunning. Funny thing about them though is if an Ogre bites their ear, they are claimed by said ogre and are considered safe and off limits by other ogres, however getting their ear bit might lead to death cause the Ogre just might eat him funny, if they dont have a mark on their ear though they can be just eaten regardless, so its a very tricky situation. As for the fat bastard comment, that was solid lol hahah

15:41 - Slaanesh vs Nurgle! Now keep in mind Slaanesh's main rival is actually khorne and Nurgle's is Tzeentch's but these were the last two factions, so.... yeah they had them square off against each other interestingly enough lol. The two people we see is Ku'gath plaguefather and N'kari. Ironically N'kari is a new model as well. There's a few images and such, but what you see is also new to us as well so its very cool for both new fans and old fans to both be very interested in the fact we're getting new lore and models. Ill go over more especially N'kari in their own enter the world and in the second post ( which will be at the end because I got a feeling Ive already over typed as it is.) In the trailer though you get the feeling nurgle wanted and he did until the tome of change or fate was clung onto him and that caused an issue. Slaaneshi forces as u saw in the ruins do what slaanesh does, which is give u temptation and then kill u for it. Slaanesh is not a very nice faction nor god to serve for this exact reason. You basically get ur 15 mins of fame and once its over ure tossed aside and either killed or a nobody. Only the most famous characters do stuff that pleases Slaanesh enough to constantly gain favor and value but even they can fall out of glory within a heart beat. Nurgle, just wants to give u a hug and tell u its okay just help him spread the love. Remember that, nurgle is love :P. As for the "the hell is that?" That is a daemonette and they again come across as pretty until you basically look too close and they will kill you. The guy entered the realm of nurgle and it was prolly due to the fact he again is worshipping his enemy Tzeentch. At the end we see N'Kari and the guy that was laughing before that was Ku'gath.
18:46 - Enter the World of Nurgle and its again showing how awesome they are. So the fat fuck u saw that made u both kinda cringe is a Greater Daemon of Nurgle called a Great Unclean one lol. The other one that made u gag a little was a beast of nurgle as well, but remember in Nurgle's forces you can see they are all happy because again they feel no pain and overjoyed to spread his love. Hence why hes my favorite god despite how they look lol. The guy talking though is Ku'gath and we see him throughout the trailer and he is laughing as well, but yeah hes one of the major Great Unclean Ones that serve Nurgle is well known for his plagues as he caused plenty within the WHF setting.
19:48 - Enter the World of Slaanesh again showing off their forces and how cool they are. The person talking is N'kari and thats also who u see at the end. He is also a major character for the High Elf history and well has done some pretty crazy stuff, overall though he has lost to the high elves and elves in general a few times including Tyrion in who we saw in WH2. The one u saw standing and looking around along with that cat walk in the beginning are Keeper of Secrets and are the greater daemons of Slaanesh. The chariots are being pulled by steeds of Slaanesh which look very sea horse like indeed! :P
20:58 - This is a Daemon Prince, he unites the daemons of chaos in this trailer, but hes honestly Be'lakor and they should of allowed us to have Be'lakor instead at first and then revealed this guy, but they didn't and he basically fills in the role of Be'lakor which is to be the counterpart to Archaon whom is the Everchosen and generally leads the MORTAL aspect of Chaos while Be'lakor leads more of the DAEMONIC aspect of Chaos. Granted in lore Archaon is above Be'lakor, but still they usually go hand in hand.
Quick note, Warhammer is based off a Board game or a table top game so you're not wrong there. AS for the risk aspect, yes because WH is set up to basically be similar to risk, in fact the auto resolve functions similar to rolling dice, but not quite because it factors in a lot. However, much like risk the defender in the game usually has a garrison at least in cities and towns thus allowing the defender to have a high chance of winning, and ure overall statement is basically spot on.
THIS IS PART TWO REAL QUICK
So now you saw all the daemons, keep in mind here's some interesting facts
1 Grimgor came in last sec and drop kicked Grand Cathay and the Daemons over on the eastern part of the world pretty dang hard. He literally murked the Great Unclean Ones without an issue. ( so very impressive ) He also went to go fight Kilsev once but the Ice Queen literally sent him a big ol blizzard and either his army froze or they had to fall back due to soon being frozen haha
2 N'Kari is the Elves biggest threat, since Slaanesh has always wanted Elven souls specifically and N'kari is quite clever and even pulling off a few tricks that would of gotten him killed if it hadn't been for luck. One of them was that he was caught in the maelstorm we saw in WH2 trailers and basically waited there to reform again. Why this is a risk is because if he was found and detected if they attacked and killed him, he'd be gone because technically the maelstorm sucked 90% of the magic out of the world and N'kari ( I forget how ) found a way to somewhat dodge it and so on. He has been defeated though a few times especially by Tyrion and Teclis' dad ( also malekith's dad to ) along with losing to Tyrion and IIRC Telcis as well.
3 The Daemons you also saw Lizardmen fought them for hundreds of years and matched them every bit until the flow of the warp and chaos started to slowly creep forward which made the spell casting for the Slann very risky and slowly they started to die and their cities started to blow up from it due to miscasts and so on. I'd like to note some of those Greater Daemons like the Bloodthirster we saw in the first trailer, Gor Rok and Kroq-Gar have slayed said Greater Daemons before as well, so I hope that speaks volumes as well. Oxy ( the lizardmen guy with the blowpipe ) killed all these types of daemons for again thousands of years as well all while being stuck in the warp and was able to avoid the Daemons of Chaos hunting him for basically... ever until he returned to the normal world during the end times.
These are a few notes I thought might interest u guys, so I figured to mention them. There's a few more, but that's if you're interested in well, overall though. I loved ur reactions to the trailer especially the Ogres and Nurgle ones, they were 10/10 reactions along with the comments stated as well. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you guy keep making videos as they never get old! :P

In regards to the daemon at 18:20... All four of the chaos gods have both a greater and lesser daemon type. That is a Keeper of Secrets, a greater daemon of Slaanesh. To be specific, that's N'kari, one of the greatest of the Keepers of Secrets in Warhammer fluff. The lesser daemons of Slaanesh are the Daemonettes. And yes, N'Kari has one mammary. That's because Slaanesh presents itself as male, female, or both, depending on its whims. So, its daemons (both greater and lesser) all have a single mammary on the right side. It sometimes gives its mortal champions one, too, as a sign of Slaanesh's favor. (And no, they're not hermaphrodites. As far as I know, N'Kari is male down below; daemonettes are, obviously, female.)

    • @DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames
      @DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames  2 года назад

Seems like Slaanesh wouldn’t have any secrets to keep. Isn’t it all about just giving in to desires and what not? 🤔 Or does the demon keep secrets of humans and that’s how Slaanesh knows how to twist them to her side?

    • @SpearM3064
      @SpearM3064 2 года назад

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Probably the latter. The thing to keep in mind about Slaanesh is that it isn't just lust (although that is definitely ONE desire, and the one it's best known for). It's right there in one of the alternate titles: "The Lord of Excess". It is the god of obsession, the Master of Excess in All Things, from gluttony to lust to megalomania. The finest culinary delights, the most beautiful art, the most sensual clothing, the sound of wood crackling in a fire, the taste of freshly cut fingernails? Anything can be an obsession. Anyway, without typing a wall of text: a Keeper of Secrets knows what your secret obsession is (hence "Keeper of Secrets"), and how to make it happen.

As everyone has mentioned, the trailers are character driven due to how important the characters of Warhammer is. In short, they're known as "Legendary Lords", and almost every playable race has multiple of these lords you can choose to start as. You can ally with and subsume/federate with other faction leaders of your same playable race, while for other races it depends a lot on what they are. For example, Humans and Dwarves get along well, but Dwarves and Greenskins do not. And while I say "humans", I mean The Empire, because there's multiple Human-centric factions, including the two shown in these trailers. Bretonia, The Empire, Kislev, Grand Cathay and the Trade Princes are the five human factions seen in the Warhammer Total War games and the Trade Princes are actually unplayable.
I wanna point out the guy we see at 3:40 and later at around the 16 minute mark is weirdly enough not a vital character, but at the same time kind of he is. See, in almost every empire, he is the Advisor that shows up to teach you how to play the game. It doesn't matter which race you play as, this guy tells you how to play the game. In one of the campaigns, its revealed he is a spy of Tzeentch, the Chaos God of Magic, Deception and incessant planning. Which makes sense for a character who goes to every faction and tells them who they should do battle with. But he has no name and doesn't exist in the Warhammer lore, he (like the whole Vampire Coast pirate faction) was made by Creative Assembly who made this game, not Games Workshop who made Warhammer in the first place.
So uh... Lets go over the factions here and do a brief description of all of them. This will be a lot more brief than my previous descriptions, as I've not played this game yet and I'm not super versed in Warhammer lore outside this game franchise.
Beginning with the Kislev faction: Kislev are the northern guardians of The Old World, the region where The Empire, Dwarves, Bretonnia, Norsca, Greenskins, Vampires etc duke it out. Kislev doesn't care about the politics of the Old World, they only care about their endless war against the Chaos God of Rage and Warfare, Khorne. As you can tell, they're inspired by good ol' mother russia and folktales/myths surrounding them. War bears and ice queens and oh my.
Wouldn't make sense not to talk about Khorne next. Not much to say about any of the Chaos God factions, they're the warriors of that specific Chaos God. Khorne's faction relishes in battle, but rest assured, a servant of Khorne is never going to stab you in the back. It will be done from the front. Repeatedly. Until your face is pulp. Probably.
After that, it jumps on over to Cathay: Grand Cathay is based on eastern asian tropes and myths and legends. I know less about these than Kislev, but apparently they value something called Harmony, which is likely going to be a unique thing for them in-game that you have to balance out as you play. On the world map of the Warhammer world, if the Empire is in the middle of the map, the High Elves would be to the west, with the Dark Elves and Lizardmen further west from them. Grand Cathay would be to the East of the Empire, so all the way opposite. Though I guess, if it is an actual world map, Cathay would be fairly close to the Lizardmen if you head further east from Cathay.
Now, the typical enemy of Cathay would be Tzeentch's forces. As a chaos god, Tzeentch is a meticulous schemer, the God with a Thousand Plans. Everything that happens, no matter how convoluted, can be attributed to Tzeentch's schemes in some way, as either direct result or accidental side effect. He also doubles as the God of Magic, because Magic can be manipulated and Tzeentch will manipulate ANYTHING. It's a weird stretch honestly. I think a more proper explanation is that effective use of magic requires incredible intellect, and Tzeentch + followers are ridiculously smart.
After this we see the Ogre Kingdoms. The Ogres are rightly disgusting, but they are also brutally efficient. They lack in the intelligence department. What little lore I know of them says they SHOULDN'T be stupid, because they were artificial creations meant to fight the Chaos Gods, but the project to create the Ogres failed or didn't finish up, and so they came out "half cooked" and their intelligence is what they're missing. They DO have a rageboner for Chaos forces however, but they're also mercenaries who will fight anyone for coin. They'll even work for the Chaos forces if paid enough. At least some of the dumber ones will. In any case, Ogres despite their comical appearances and behaviors are terrifying foes to face on the battlefield. On the world map, they're smack dab between the Empire and Cathay.
And next we've got Nurgle and Slaanesh. I dont need to say much about these. Nurgle the Chaos God of Decay, his faction is obviously disgusting. Slaanesh the Dark Prince of Excess, the Chaos God of Pleasure and every teenage boy's favourite, because they dont understand the true horror of this Chaos God. To quote Slaanesh herself: "Excess in all things". ALL. things. Pain. Pleasure. Food. Battle. Weaponry. Mutations/Corruption. Desire. Jealousy. No matter what it is, you should throw yourself fully and wholeheartedly into it even if it kills you. Especially if it kills you. Like the Rakdos guild of Ravnica in Magic the Gathering the goal is to have one hell of a party. Hell being the operative word.
Finally, the Chaos Undivided faction, where you play as a Demon Prince (Daniel). This is... honestly incredibly awesome. Only one other Total War game has had a customizable legendary lord character for multiplayer, and that's Shogun 2, my favourite Total War game. I'm ridiculously happy they've introduced this feature and playstyle. I'm just sad the customizability is ONLY for this faction. Every other race is still restricted to the usual item system, which while decent, feels a bit lacking sort of. Anyway, Chaos Undivided is the four Chaos Gods all putting their support into a single entity, that being you the Demon Prince. The more you honor your gods, the more powerful you become. I love the concept.
Also obviously the Daniel name is hilarious and a joke name. Nobody sane would call their Demon Prince something as mundane as Daniel, when clearly Bob is the superior name choice. Get ready for a LOT of memes about horrifyingly powerful demons with ridiculously simple and unassuming names. RUclips videos titled "Jeff slaughters 10,000 Kislev soldiers" and silly stuff like that.
Thank you for following this franchise through all the way. Obviously there will be more cinematics, trailers etc in the years to come but for now, you've seen and reacted to just about everything they have available and seen all the different factions that will exist in Warhammer 3. Fun fact: Those of us who own Warhammer 2 and/or 1 will get all of our available DLC characters in Warhammer 3 as well, and that begins to count up to a truly ridiculous amount of playable characters. 50+ at this point with more to come.

Well it’s exciting to see how y’all react to the trailers of the game. I am really hyped for tomorrow to play the game. The trailers were excellent as always imo, I really enjoyed the Game 3 reveal trailer which was the first one, the second one called Trial By Fire, and finally the Chaos Undivided were all cool. I remember seeing them for the first time and felt just as hyped for when I saw the Silence and the Fury beastmen dlc trailer.
Funny enough the third game in the series (this one) has the most beginner friendly tutorial/prologue of all the games.
Anyway nice to see others find some interest in this stuff. Glad to see y’all had a good time.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I am indeed having fun. I was up at 2 am when the game release and yeah it’s got some issues here and there but they’ll be ironed out soon enough.
