    • @sumiland6445
      @sumiland6445 9 часов назад

      No, it's not failing infrastructure. It's the force and direction and height of the swells. The pier usually doesn't take hits from the side. It's meant to head into the swells. Storms way out in the ocean can produce some terrifying swells. Glad everyone's okay. What a loss. Santa Cruz has taken some heavy hits from natural disasters. Strong community. 💜

      And as far as USA coastlines, nothing Atlantean about the Atlantic. When I moved from east to west many many years ago and ran out to the beautiful surf expecting the soft warm lazy swoosh, I got beat to shit by the ice cold ripping waves and thrown across razor-shelled tidal pools into the washed up kelp and mussels. I've never forgotten the irony of the names of the two seas slapping North America.

    A big hit to the small businesses? Since when do Democrats care about small businesses?
    During covid they closed all the small businesses and let their rich friends in the big corporate stores stay open.
    Remember the small restaurant struggling with all of the stupid restrictions while a catering company was feeding actors on a movie set, right next to the restaurant, with zero restrictions?

    That's the siren call of the idiot,... to do just that; race to the beach to see how close they can get while dancing around like morons after getting drenched or knocked down while taking selfies. Not a care in the world for putting the lives of first responders at risk should they get swept away. Some things never change.

Never have I visited the wharf one time. Didn't even know it existed. Most people just go to the boardwalk area.

Secondly, you haven't even been there 1,000 times, so to say you've been there a million times, shows that not only are you clueless, but you're also a liar. Thirdly, it is the most well known spot in Santa Cruz. Every single person that has ever been there knows about it.
