Grin (Truly Madly Deeply) - Bass Cover by Richard Ireson

I'm not sure you can cover your own tune but here is a "revisiting" of an old tune I wrote the bassline for back in the '90s. Working with a great friend, Dave Howard, and under the monika of "Truly Madly Deeply", we released an album called Curios & Keepsakes. Grin was one of the 11 tunes on that CD and I've been thinking of revisiting it for a while. Fantastic tune, man! And that tone is so unique to YOU, Richard. You make that instrument sound like an "active" bass - with the old Ampeg SVT and 8x10 cab. Great stuff, man!

@@RichardIresonMusician Ahhhhh! That's GREAT! I've done a lot of mods to my Fenders over the years, but never, have I ever fitted any of them with active electronics - although I did own the Marcus Miller J-Bass back in 03 thru 07 - but wound up selling it. I deeply regret THAT move!
