Discovered motorcycling late in the game (at 64) and now at 70 the weight of the bike is eveything. Picked up a close-out z400 model and wow what fun! What else can you buy that makes you feel young again? Love the channel Peter..I learned alot from you.
4 months ago, I bought a Z500 for the same reason. Weight. It's a great machine, and I l9ve it. But I have concluded that I need more room to move my right knee. It hurts after about 45 minutes ride time. I am looking at a Honda NX500 now.
Interesting comparison, cool bikes, thanks. Those rims and top frame highlights look good in green. I like when Kawasaki offers more full color choices, like their mostly green bikes, but also red, yellow (rare for Kawasaki), orange, or blue. Lately as of 2024, they've been mostly gray or black for stealth I guess, though stealth on a motorcycle might not be the most eye-catching for other drivers/sometimes harder to spot in traffic.
RIGHT!! I left the dealer KNOWING that I had forgotten something. That's what it was! I had too many things on my mind this morning. Thanks for pointing that out. Great catch!
1973 15years old CB125-RD350-F81M-T20-TS185-Z440-RD350(lots)-RZ350(track)-FZ400-Ninja300 now K400 and loving it. Hoping to see Z500 in New Zealand. Unseen, or unsat? I am sold on the flatter seat. My Z400 is great fun so why not have the 50cc and a flatter seat. 🏍
I would have bought an SE if it came with those wheels in the US. Here, it comes with red wheels instead of green. I dont like the red wheels. I chose the base model for black rims. Its strange how they only have certain colors in certain countries instead of giving us more choice.
Am I the only person to point out that the Honda is 47? something, it’s not 500cc, but your point about power is taken. I still believe however that such a small, in comparison to your nominal 900cc, they should be called 450’s.
@@PeterLoweOne sometimes I make it…….. Still like your videos, but two wheels have passed me by now! I’ve reached a certain age where I like my comfort too much, and have to be able to carry grand kids 👨🏻🦳
ye thumbs down because too much talk on ninja...who cares, dont drive it or ever had, just wanted the info on title...too long on the FTP differences as well, not a good go over guy, learn to edit yourself please

SE version also a USB-C port under the front left fairing!

Nice job I want those green wheels for my Vulcan s
In the US I’m only seeing the red and green options and I’m not a fan of those at all. I like that black style I’m seeing in CA. Very nice.
All we can get is the base model with black wheels and the black and red SE with red wheels. I bought the base model because I don't want red wheels.
Great video Can you compare Kawasaki’s 500’s vs Hondas 500r and 500 hornet/500F please
in UK SE model does not have in standard:
- sliders
- stickers
Any plan for upcoming video comparing it with the Z400?

Is it possible to get the green SE in the US?
Oooh, we don't get the green-wheeled one in the states. Ours is red. And the green on your wheels isn't K777-green, is it? Its their metallic green.
It is the metallic green. It looks great!
Could you do a comparison of the z500 se and z650
Great idea. I'll try to do that soon.
@@PeterLoweOne dyou have a quick opinion/thoughts now? I'm looking to buy by the end of the month!!
Would be super appreciated!
Alll fun and games until the led headlight goes out and you have to replace it...
You look a little scrunched up in the legs. Does Kawi offer a tall seat ? Do you think it would help materially?
There is a +30mm high saddle accessory. At least here in Switzerland
Nice 👌
