Metal can scratch the inside of your jar, which can cause jar breakage over time. I’m very careful using metal forks, spoons of knives while getting my product out of the jar as well. Thank you for asking!!! And good luck!!!!
@@thehappyhickmanhomestead3911 thank you. I’m a young man who wants to buy from my neighbors and can some stuff up for the future. Thank you! I’m using an instant pot too.
Beautiful job!
Thank you so much 😀
Nice
I just started canning, sorry why do you not put metal down the side?

I was pressure canning mine for 90 minutes and did them the same way you are. I am guessing that is way to long?
Yes!!! Green beans surprisingly only take 25 minutes in the pressure canner.
Can I use kosher salt?
Absolutely!!!! You can use iodized salt, just might have cloudy water lol
How long are these good for in the jars?
Good question. I have eaten soup mix that was 7 years old. As long as it’s canned properly and the seal is in tact, there is no real expiration date

Do you heat your jars before hand?
No, I raw/cold pack these. If I were hot packing them, I’d heat my jars so help avoid breakage
