I love System of a Down. Particularly I love the way they bring their Armenian heritage vocally, lyrically, rhythmically & instrumentally into their music.
I always thought the same thing about the end.... that breakdown is so hyped and it just gets deaded... its like "okk... soo what do i do with all this energy now... " lol
YT sent me here; two years after you posted this. Just wanted to say your content is hilarious, well done. System is so good. They were one of the bands that got me through alot of child hood. Serj Tankian is a master vocalist.
I-E-A-I-A-O is a fun one to sing along with. I think I remember seeing a interview with them explaining the title of this one. But it sounded great the way it was so they didn't come up with anything else an left it I-E-A-I-A-O
Don't forget about sugar. I've seen them live on their first tour it was quite amazing and I was fortunate enough to experience the first three lappaloozas along with a whole lot of death metal, hardcore and punk rock in Florida from the mid 80s onward and these guys bring an incredible amount of energy every single song is its own orchestra there are certain bands that take you to another level and this is one of them along with anything Chris Cornell did. I think you should also check out Pantera cowboys from hell along with Slipknot ,CMFT from Stone Cold I COULD GO ON FOR DAYS. ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY YOU MUST CHECK OUT TOOL AND GO DOWN THE WORMHOLE AND LISTEN TO THE POT .
I low key hope you slip into the System of a Down rabbit hole.. Unique piece of art. Their most popular songs are Chop Suey, Question, Aerials, Spiders, Sugar, BYOB - all worth listening to, dont get me wrong - but dont sleep on Streamline, Innervision, ATWA, Pictures, Dreaming!!! Thank you for the reaction bro, I love this band!
Their names are Serj Tankian (lead singer, he also has some solo work that you should definitely check out when you have time), Daron Malakian (lead singer and guitarist, has his own band called Scars On Broadway), Shavo Odadjian (the one with the epic beard) and the awesome drummer is John Dolmayan! It's my favorite band and I highly recommend all of their songs, but for a start you can check these😂: •B.Y.O.B. (bring your own bombs) •I-E-A-I-A-I-O (spells Idealization without the consonants- also has a hidden message at the end!) •Question •ATWA (air, trees, water, animals) *•Sugar* (it's one of their first songs and I honestly *love* it) • *HOLY MOUNTAINS* IS A MUST BRO- don't you even dare forget about it😂 •Mr. Jack These are enough for now! Enjoy! :)
I love that all of the band members are Armenian and you can really hear the Middle Eastern influences in their instrumentals and vocal styles. Even while it's still nu metal af, and a mood swing in musical form.
Its real time. Toxicity is one of the near-universal songs for drummers to kind of measure themselves as "real" drummers vs just hobbyist garage band style drummers
Credit to you bud, for trying something new to you. Great reaction. Likely someone here has already commented, on the metaphor aspect of 'seeds' in that song. :-)
That reaction just gave you my sub. You made me relive hearing that song for the first time soo soo many years ago. I love that you appreciate the message and complexity🤘
I laughed when you said 'why did they stop?', listen to the album from front to back, you will be satisfied....for a bit, then you will want fo do it again. The art of Album Song Order is strong here.
The main reason I think that you just start to get into the song is it sounded like to me after listening to this album so many times I can't think, you would enjoy listening to the whole album, its a great listen!
I was married to a Chaldean, evertime we went to one of her familys' homes, there were seeds offered, they would sit around for hours eating seeds and talking...
You are such a ray of sunshine. You have became my favorite reactor. I smile from beginning to end with all of them. Found you from one of your Jordan Peterson reactions, you give me so much hope for our future. Thank you
I've always love SOAD..... I can get my aggression out in part of the song and then feel mellow and harmonize my ass off with them (in my head) in the next part of the song. I usually listen to them when I'm driving so no one else can hear me! 🤣
SOAD are awesome!!! I believe this song is about the homeless in LA. All songs about social injustice and political issues Worth every minute of your time to do a deep dive with lyrics !! ENJOY!
You gotta look up Nandi Bushell on YT. She's about 13 years old and does AMAZING drum covers!!!! She did this song, along with a bunch of other songs by other artists. She even got to perform on stage with Foo Fighters in LA last year. She's amazing and she kills this song!
Bruh, ALL of systems songs are straight fire, but you have to check out Sugar, Spiders, Lonely Day, B.Y.O.B., Prison Song, Psycho, Streamline, Peephole, Snowblind, you just can’t go wrong with System, bruh. I can listen to all their albums from first to last. Welcome to the club!
So much JOY watching you experience this for the first time. Lmao. I love it. My husbands band used to do a super clean cover of Toxicity… the crowd would go frigging NUTS. They did an outside show for 98 Rock once and the DJ had to stop them cuz the mosh pit was getting “dangerous”. Hahaha. Great song. Great reaction.
Ok now if you want to react to some crazy drumming you've got to check out the band "All That Remains" the song "This Calling" the drumming is insanely good! The song is off the album called "The Fall of Ideals" which in my opinion is the finest example of Metal Core ever recorded!
My favorite by them is B.Y.O.B. and you have to do yourself a favorite and watch the group 2 Cellos they do AC/DC Thunderstruck and so many great covers oh and one more tidbit the lead singer is sn Opera singer😍🤙
You want a fun mix of music Genre's check out Skindred.... best songs are "Nobody" , "pressure" , "Thats my Jam" if need the music to be more recent being previous 2 are over a decade old.
"Why did he stop?!" Exactly my reaction the first time I heard the song. Outro is fire.
Outro is a banger !
me every time a SOAD track stops LOLOL e
I've watched a shitload of reactions to this song and everyone says that 😂 and I agree.
haha yup but i love how they leave me wanting more
They should've done an actual song with that outro...fire.
"WHY DID HE STOP???"
Welcome to SOAD
I love System of a Down.
Particularly I love the way they bring their Armenian heritage vocally, lyrically, rhythmically & instrumentally into their music.
And that might be where the Hey There Delilah feel came from, folk style riffs and construction, but then also metallicized.
When you said “WHY DID HE STOP!?” I felt that man
Great reaction...and my sentiments exactly..."why did they stop?!?" 🔥🔥
Every fan of SOAD feel the same way
@@ottoirizarry41 As a SOAD fan, I can confirm!
it's called crescendo. the song escalated until it blew up - and that's where it stayed.
I always thought the same thing about the end.... that breakdown is so hyped and it just gets deaded... its like "okk... soo what do i do with all this energy now... " lol
Yes!!! First time I hear anyone acknowledge the drummer!! He is freaking awesome!
You should react to their song "B.Y.O.B" it was about the war in Iraq and whatnot... a lot of change ups in musical styles within the 1 song, so cool.
Gotta listen to the whole album in order. Each song leads into each other
Such a creative band. I've never been a nu-metal fan in general, but i've always appreciated System's talent in particular.
SOAD and DEFTONES that's all you need from nu
@@jofi4580 I'm on board with that. You can probably sprinkle Limp Bizkits first album in there too lol.
@@Robby_C I can't deny the wizardry of Wes Borland but I can stand Durst
@@jofi4580 yeah, he's a tool for sure, that first album was just so aggressive that it stuck with me lol
How you not going to give Static-X a like?
YT sent me here; two years after you posted this.
Just wanted to say your content is hilarious, well done. System is so good. They were one of the bands that got me through alot of child hood.
Serj Tankian is a master vocalist.
when he switched from melodic to scream om the same word/note (disorder) Serj is a LEGEND!
Best way to watch SOAD is the lyric videos. Makes you appreciative their genius.
why did they stop? that happens too so many of their songs. they are geniuses. also their drummer is beyond good.
very intelligent aswell
I-E-A-I-A-O is a fun one to sing along with. I think I remember seeing a interview with them explaining the title of this one. But it sounded great the way it was so they didn't come up with anything else an left it I-E-A-I-A-O
I second this. It’s one of my fave System songs!

Innervision, ATWA, and suggestions are my top
I love watching videos like this, makes me feel like I’m listening to the songs for the first time again
Spiders, check that one out. Sugar is really good as well.
My favourites of SOAD are deer dance, prison song, BYOB, ATWA, forest and this one

So true ☺️

4:32 the way he just starts headbanging 😂😭🤟🏼
Drum play in this song is my favorite ever
The lead guitar player went on to a band called Scars on Broadway, Check out their song They Say.
Because the Song is over. :-P Serj Tankian, his Voice got me when i was about 15 or so. I loved it.
Watching people discovering music I love - especially people unfamiliar with the artists or genres as a whole - will never get old
Highway song - the drummer carries that song start to finish.
I'm a drummer, I taught my self listening to system of a down, this is my favorite song to play. I got in 2 bands because of it.
Nothing beats Cigaro. It will never get out of your head. It hasn’t left mine for almost 20 years
I LOVE seeing the reactions of fans of other genres when they first listen to rock/metal etc. Priceless
The moshpits to this song are crazy
I was lucky enough to see them live and they are AMAZING
Lucky!!!
Said, is the essence of "never let them know your next move". That's all of their songs.
Can't wait to see your BYOB reaction!
Lost In Hollywood, Revenga, ATWA, Forest, Lonely Day, B.Y.O.B. are all great System songs.
Please oh please do hypnotize. You won't regret it
Loving these reactions man. System was easily my favorite band thru high school & college. I’d love to see what you think of B.Y.O.B 🤘
Definitley BYOB next

When he yells "YOOOOU" after the instrumental break I ALWAYS get chills. Such a fucking BANGERRRR.
Chop Suey is one of my favorites of SOD. 😊
Thank you for sharing your time with us. ☮️
Any song by System of a Down is worth listening and reacting to. They have a sound unlike anyone else.
The entire albums "Mesmerize" and "Hypnotize" were 🔥🔥🔥 and we're my anthem in middle school and highschool
Bruh SOAD drummer is probably the best of all time, not even exaggerating
Suggestions: BYOB, Deer Dance, Lost in Hollywood.
Radio/Video, Cigaro, Questions! ❤️🤟😘👍
To me the drummer for this band could win any battle against anyone bro is …….NAAAAASTY!!!!!
NAAAAASTTTTYYYYYY!!!!!❤❤❤

4:25 best part of the video. Watching the breakdown slap him around, laughing in enjoyment, made my day.
Their collab with Wu Tang is pretty awesome
SUGAR!!!
lol love your reaction man, thanks so much for checking out S.O.A.D
The half-beats of the drums make this song. The guitars are simplistic for the most part, but the drums glue it all together.
I've always love SOAD..... I can get my aggression out in part of the song and then feel mellow and harmonize my ass off with them (in my head) in the next part of the song. I usually listen to them when I'm driving so no one else can hear me! 🤣

Now I’m watching all ur soad vids
This was my best friend’s reaction to when I got him to nirvana for the first time
If you loved SOAD’s drummer, watch Nandi Bushell’s cover of this song. She was 9 years old at the time, so much fun to watch!
Maybe not quite this intense but the live shows were exhausting and friggen lit all at the same time.....once in a lifetime!

You have a new subscriber bro..... Your reactions are fire and i love System !!! 🔥
Great Reaction. "WHY DID HE STOP?" hahaha, I agree.

I'd recommend listening to Serj Tankian (lead singer) solo discography he sings phenomenally
Do Aerials! It's such a gorgeous song with a powerful message. Lots of amazing vocals in that one.
QUESTION by system is a great song.
Strait of the gates has the lead singer of System of a Down singing with Tech N9ne rapping
Aerials is a more laid back song, but a great one.
Main singer's name is Serj
Serge has the vocal equivalent to Steve Buscemi's face. It's kind of haunting and wholly unique.
YES they can definitely get LIT!!! Boy this takes me back!!!! We had music in my day, I don’t know what y’all listening to today.
My favorite by them is B.Y.O.B. and you have to do yourself a favorite and watch the group 2 Cellos they do AC/DC Thunderstruck and so many great covers oh and one more tidbit the lead singer is sn Opera singer😍🤙
Such an awesome band. Initially, the guitarist was going to be the the singer, but they decided on Serj. The right choice, IMO.
"Why did he stop?“ You’re already asking the real questions 😅 nice reaction!
Question and BYOB!!!!
Even though Tool is my absolute favorite band. These guy are definitely high up there on my list
Everybody who has heard this song asks that same exact question when it goes off😂
This band is so unique!
