    It's strange, this channel is so far out of my usual wheelhouse it's almost another dimension (war, strategy, weapons, fighting, games and my other nerdy hobbies), but her breakdowns are so bloody good that it makes a topic I've had no previous interest in so absolutely fascinating. Yeah it helps that I'm a big System of a Down fan, but it's Lollies technical knowledge and enthusiasm is infectious. Everything about how she does this is brilliant, the epitome of a natural teacher. Not sure if she reads the comments as RUclips comment sections are usually cancer but I hope she does and sees how much people enjoy what she does.

    Other SOAD recommendations:
    - Sugar (it’s weird but super fun and interesting, one of my faves)
    - Question (gorgeous vocals and interesting composition)
    - Hypnotize (gorgeous vocals)
    - BYOB (if you like the switch ups in Toxicity, BYOB does that even harder)
    They pick really great singles honestly because these are all singles but I’d recommend them anyway. For non-singles, Streamline, Radio/Video and Holy Mountains have really good/interesting vocals.

    • @jimmux_v0
      @jimmux_v0 Год назад +18

      Holy Mountains is for sure an underrated recommendation. Also suggesting IEAIAIO for purely chaotic reasons.

    • @Петърчо
      @Петърчо Год назад +4

      tbh, you can't choose wrong with SOAD, but the next easy step would be something like a Grammy-winning song? If so - B.Y.O.B. (sadly it's bombs, not booze/beer)

    You should check out "The Great Gig in the Sky" by Pink Floyd, the *studio version*, very important. The original version was done by a woman named Clare Torry, who ad-libbed the piece. The version that was released on Pink Floyd's seminal "Dark Side of the Moon" album was the second take, the first was cut short, when Clare used a word. Oh yeah, the song doesn't have any words. It's just an emotional trip, like, your soul may leave your body. It's one of the greatest pieces of improv ever recorded.

    You and the lady on the Charismatic Voice channel do the best, most detailed breakdowns I have seen. Top 5 on all of YT. Outstanding.

    You are absolutely right, this goes so hard live! People go nuts. Something about the S sounds too make it so satisfying to sing along... Somewhere between the sacred silent and sleep.... disorder... Just fun good music. Really cool analysis and video.

    Have fun when you get to the Mesmerise/ Hypnotise era. The guitarist Daron makes a massive jump up with vocal presence, that compliments Serj, and shows an adaptive range to their capabilities. Highlights: Violent Pornography, Question! and Lonely Day (lonely day is Daron as lead with Serj as Backing vocals)

    I've listened to a lot of reaction channels, and I've only seen about 4 of your videos this far, but it is miles ahead of anything I've ever heard. This is extraordinary. Your knowledge of music, interpretation of songs, and your absolutely incredible musical register is levels above anything I've ever heard. I love, LOVE your passion, and keen insight on not just the musical components but the songwriting at large. So glad I came across your channel. Beautiful, wonderful work. This is next level, and I absolutely adore it. Please keep it up!

      Same here, man. I love to see Hip-Hop Guys reacting to Metal, for instance. But that is more for fun. This lady here goes deep, even taking the lyrics into account. And you can see, that she really enjoys to explore "uncharted waters" musically. Instant subscription.
