Hello everyone. 👋🏽 I'm from California and recently got my Cricut. I live in an Independent Senior Liviving Community. We also just got a Cricut for our craft program and hope to elevate the our project and increase the challenge. Im really looking forward to working through the videos and I also got the books.
Thank you Jennifer for the thorough tutorial. I have had my Maker for 3 years & my Joy for 4 years, taken both out of the box and just get completely frustrated! What I’m struggling with right now is making seamless wrap patterns for tumblers. Specifically, using the slice function to make it so both edges line up. Ugh, I’m so frustrated, but your videos are definitely helping me to understand more about my Cricut so I’m confident that I’ll find the answers to my seamless pattern questions in one of your videos. @@JenniferMaker Thank you, but I don’t need to know how to sublimate. I’m trying to figure out how to create a seamless wrap pattern in a graphic design app (I use the design space app or vectornator app. I’m hoping to make my own designs, print them on vinyl and then wrap tumblers.
Very easy to follow. I'm a person that downloads lots of files (mostly flight simulated related) and find it much easier if you don't unzip the files in the downloads folder (on a PC). I find it much easier to move the zip file to a seperate folder for storage. THEN is easier to unzip the files in the storage folder. As you know, without changing defaults, the unzip(ing) creates a folder with the unzipped files ready for use. Keeping the the downloads folder clean will allow you to know, what files you have explored and what need to be looked at further. Additionally, you will find it easier to hae the files in your image folder before you open it. This allows the software to know where your images. It's a nightmare to have the software pointing to some images files in "this folder" and some in "that folder".
Jennifer, thank you for this. I just downloaded a SVG and have no idea how to add it to Design Space. I have a Mac. Thank you in advance for doing these videos.

Hi. I bought a Silhouette, second (basically new, but no instruction manual). I downloaded one. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to download the SVG files to either Google, Canva, something so that I can print it for sublimation. I'm trying to not have to cut, or weed certain designs and just press them due to their design. Is there a way to do this? Thank you.
Hello there! We don't have instruction on Silhouette Studio but you can download our files by clicking the link in the library, they'll download to your downloads folder or the downloads area of your browser. 😊🌻
I don’t know what to do when a file in several layers uploads into Design Space as a single color and won’t allow me to separate the file into its different layers.
I struggle when purchasing a svg bundle and find out the seller uses Google drive. I can’t figure out how to transfer the file from Google onto my iPad. Thank you for all your videos, even ‘slow’ people like me can understand!
I know how to create svgs, but I would love to know how I can make my own svg cut files with everything linked in one upload like you do. That can be shared outside of Cricut Design Space, but don't know how to access the Design Space files outside of the programme, and there is no way (I can see) of downloading them. How do you manage to create these cut files to share??
I struggle with finding the software program for making svgs. And understanding that software. I need free software, unfortunately, I wish I could buy it, as I know this would make it easier to understand.
You would just measure the area on the shirt and size your design appropriately and then you will be able to see how much of the vinyl you will need. ❤️
Hi Jennifer- You almost lost me with all the sublimation you’ve been doing, which I’m not. I’m looking forward to the next few videos and new class your starting.
@@JenniferMaker I am loving your videos and all that you do. Thanks for answering my first question, but where do you set these individual folders. In other words, desktop, one drive, dropbox?

Whenever I upload an image, it says select image type your image image will be uploaded in a single layer. Why and how do I make it separate layers when I have not even uploaded it yet?

I struggle with finding the software program for making svgs. And understanding that software. I need free software, unfortunately, I wish I could buy it, as I know this would make it easier to understand.
Inkscape is free to use.
Hi I'm new got a circuit explorer 3 tying to do t shirts how do I know how much vinyl to use
You would just measure the area on the shirt and size your design appropriately and then you will be able to see how much of the vinyl you will need. ❤️
@@JenniferMaker thanks because I'm wasting a lot. Does it shows in cricut design space
@@JenniferMaker thanks
Hi Jennifer- You almost lost me with all the sublimation you’ve been doing, which I’m not. I’m looking forward to the next few videos and new class your starting.
Wonderful!
I think I get the find and download part of this video, but how can I organize these svg files after downloading and can I then delete the zip file?
You can organize your files by say holiday, designer etc. Once you extract the files you can delete the zip file🥰
@@JenniferMaker I am loving your videos and all that you do. Thanks for answering my first question, but where do you set these individual folders. In other words, desktop, one drive, dropbox?
I am currently struggling with a avg cut file, when I upload it the logo is cut into layers and not lined up, I am wanting to print on sublimation paper to make a cup. How do I get the image too stick as one.
Group it together and attach. jennifermaker.com/print-cut-cricut-transfer-tshirts/. jennifermaker.com/how-to-use-printable-vinyl-with-cricut/
Whenever I upload an image, it says select image type your image image will be uploaded in a single layer. Why and how do I make it separate layers when I have not even uploaded it yet?
My layered images will all be in the single SVG. Make sure to ungroup the image in Design Space.
Size of mat I want is not there.
I have problems with finding svg’s after downloading them, without searching for hours and then may not find them.
When you download them, upload them right away into Design Space so they are there when you need them.
oh - I'm in a terrible mess - yesterday I spent two hours watching your videos, and downloaded the Halloween Countdown svg file. I then deleted it and am practising downloading it again today - but I can't do it! If i type it in your search bar on your website the video appears of how to do it - but I don't get the list of svg files, no matter what i try! HELP!
