Good stuff Vin. I initially wasn't much of a Highland Park fan, but after revisiting the 12 I was surprised at how much my palate had changed. I snapped up the Amazon exclusive Viking Tribe before Christmas and it's on my list to review. It's pretty easy going. Cheers.
I have to admit I've gone right off HP in recent years. This one was pretty good though so maybe I should revisit
My favourite is the HP "Neurosis of the Stag 19yo"!
Why 42.3% abv? Good balance of flavour and profits for Edrington, I believe.
I still remember the night I had a 21yo HP - such a fantastic dram.

In all honesty, HP have been releasing so much stuff the last couple of years, it’s really hard to keep track, so any sound advise like this is very welcome. I’m a bit where you are with HP, although the Valknut I tried last year was a pleasant surprise indeed.
I managed to cover the Valknut last year and, like you, was pleasantly surprised by it. Haven't tried the Valfather yet but definitely open to it

The only Highland Park that I have open now is the Valknut... Much better than the Valkyrie.
Valknut was way better than Valkyrie. Still haven't seen the Valfather around but interested to see what it's like
@@NoNonsenseWhisky Hell, even the Magnus was better than the Valkyrie if you take into consideration that I went through two bottles of Magnus while I struggled through one bottle of the Valkyrie... I have a bottle of the Valfather that I acquired in November at the BC Liquor Stores Premium Spirits Release. Right now, I'm beginning to open up the bottles that I acquired on the trip when I met you, so it might take until September or so, but I will try the Valfather when I get to it!

One has to be picky with getting Travel Exclusives in My opinion, my local store had Spirit of the Bear in stock, glad I got to try it don't think it lives up to its story.

New Subscriber, Love Jessie's Flask, enjoyed the hell out of your Crown Royal review. Highland Park is one of my Favorite Drams, but like Jessie I make my own whiskey in Canada but keep a well stocked cabinet. Keep up the great reviews and I will be following along. Oh one more thing, You truly need a Dalek on the shelf! I have 3 full sized screen used ones here at the Distillery.

Billund airport in Denmark sell the 18 for 68 GBP, 16 years old cost 11 more. Naturally i went for the 18, but haven't tried it yet
I'm not sure if that's the same as the old 18 that I know and love but that's a great price!
