I do feel there is a point where it can be very different. I don't have much of any experience with stretched bikes . I did see a stretched busa ride blood mountain ⛰️ & keep up with up 😮. Which shocked me & the group . Rider definitely plays a huge part
Dude ,you know I'm a fan, been supporting your channel since Deadshot, now there seems to be some discrepancy with audio cause for some time now, which is recently the audio in your vids are low, I find myself turning up the volume to hear you clearly so you might want to look into that that.
Lowered bikes tend to run out of cornering clearance in tighter corners, sweeping corners it'll be fine usually because you're not leaning much. I've seen 2 female riders crash out due to their bikes being lowered on tight corners and dragging hard parts that normally wouldn't on a stock bike.
I had mine lowered 2in front and rear, no change whatsoever in handling characteristics and made the bike so much more comfortable and confidence inspiring. The absolute only downside was having to go around or between speed bumps in parking lots 😂
NO change WHATSOEVER? That’s a lie. Will it still turn? Yes. Will it still lay over to the edge of the tires’ grip on the second or third switchback of a corkscrew fast enough to be competitive with lap times or racing? Not at all. This isn’t even an arguable point. Physics, laws of motion, and geometry my dude. You even heard the man say in this video that he raises the bike back up for track days. If there’s zero effect then why would he do that? Why would motoGP ride height devices only lower the bike on straights and exiting turns instead of staying slammed for the whole race? To say there’s zero difference in handling with a 2” drop on a 2 wheeled vehicle that must be forced to lose it’s balance in order to turn is complete and total nonsense. I love Mungus’ channel and his bike too but stop the cap! 😂
@@doswoods653 Yeah, I’m not sure where you got that I was a racer chasing competitive lap times in my comment. All I’m saying is that under normal, and even a bit spirited riding conditions, I have had no negative experiences with lowering my bike 2in front and rear. It was part of setting my bike to my body size& weight, and it has made my riding a much more enjoyable experience. Maybe you meant to post this on another comment, idk, but it doesn’t fit the context of my comment at all. 🤷🏻♂️
I do my best to avoid bumps and potholes... plus the bike only strapped during race right after the strap is released. I will tell you being strapped makes for a bumpy ride if the surface isn't smooth. Because while strapped the suspension is very limited in its movement
Does the front feel more planted? What about under hard acceleration cause my 1k like to give me head shake or just wheelies to the moon. How low without straps. Love the content bro bro, good sh!7
Aye yooo I appreciate you tuning in 💯.... my front end is solid no shaking at all... honestly feel like It does at stock height..... on rails 🔥🔥🔥 The bike will definitely come up but I have the force it with a power wheelie

Yoooo I appreciate you 🙏🏾.... I 💯 agree they are 2 completely different riding styles that shouldn't be compared. You right its said some of these professionals and or claimed experts don't know the difference Again I appreciate you
I only have one question for the roll racer community? Does using the lowering strap cause any long-term damage or shorten the life of the fork springs by the compression of the fork springs by using the lowering straps. I bought a Brooks Performance lowering strap but have yet to install it. Any long-term users who also do track days, please advise...
What some may not understand about straps : The bike is only strapped for a single race 🏁... after that the strap pressure is released and suspension has full range of motion again.... the bike isn't strapped all day everyday. I've had zero issues whith my suspension. No fork seal leaks or anything accelerated ware. I would suggest servicing you suspension as the manufacturer recommend

Dude_Mungus i was wondering in your last video what it handled like around the twisty’s and sweeping bends. I just found out in this video that it’s no problem 😀.
Lowered bikes can still turn... Slammed bikes can turn but won't have clearance. You can't take a lowered bike to the track if you are riding as A pace which then you use all shock travel and put the bike in angles the you typically dont find on the street. So Clearance is the issue hence why Mugus raises the bike back to a acceptable track height. As someone who has a bike that lowered, I can still slide my knee around twisty's and not have clearance issues but on track I'm raising the bike up cause that hard braking is something else that the street doesn't see. Hope that makes sense.
