@@habibi-wallahi don’t think so. and even if it were to decrease the presence of hallucinations, the delusions would still remain, which are also a big part of the schizophrenia struggle.
This is probably WHY I loved that character- I was diagnosed after watching the show for years. And she wasn't over the top or a caricature. She was pretty accurate to how my friends described me before i got help :3
I love that they showed her at her maybe not worst but also with her symptoms controlled even for a short while. It's a really rough diagnosis from what I've heard.
I personally have schizophrenia myself. I am a hallucinogenic paranoid schizophrenic PTSD and anxiety issues. I've been on medication for 26 years and I can say without a doubt being on medication it's a struggle. But if it works it works. And I've been on the same medication for 26 years. A 42 years old now. And I've been institutionalized three different times. The last time I was institutionalized I was in there for at least eight and a half months. But it's been a very long time since I have been institutionalized. But I live on my own I've got a hamster I pay my bills I'm on disability because of my illness. And I always find interesting when I meet other schizophrenic because I don't get to interact with them that often. But when I find somebody who's got what I've got and makes it a lot easier to do with
She really did AMAZING in that show! Even when she got diagnosed with I believe Alzheimers or dementia. She did a great job representing that as well. It wasn’t too “crazy” from personal experience with family.
I grew up with two schizophrenic older brothers, difficult is the understatement of a lifetime. My brother Gary got arrested and used my name. I was a soldier at the time and my commander didn't find it funny whatsoever.
Bro my brother wasn’t schizophrenic, but he got in a car accident, and used my name (he was a heroin addict) while I was in another state, in the army too! 🤯 I filed for motion, and the judge denied it, and I still ended up getting my license suspended.
Agreed I saw these episodes …. What I’m hoping is that you don’t start feeling better and stop the medication… because you are feeling better. This is a vicious cycle I’ve seen so many times as I’m an addict as well. Good luck 🍀 stay solid 🪨 😊
I once suffered illusions of someone extremely dear to me appearing in public about 6 years ago, and I could hear their voice calling me. After CBT I was able to accept he's passed away, but it was so scary man, genuinely thinking someone was playing some joke on me. I have nothing but love for you guys because it truly is something wild
I just recently had a bad breakdown as a schizophrenic. However, I realized something; remember the Family Guy clip of Peter going deaf while everyone yells at him and is on fire -- then tunes into Garfield on the TV. Under different contexts, I feel that's a good example of how it can feel sometimes.
A question: if someone has a schizophrenic episode, is it best to neither confirm nor deny the hallucinations but simply assure their safety? Like for example, if they hallucinate a man standing outside the house, is it better to show them you're locking all the doors & no one can get in & that the person they're seeing can't hurt them? Or is it better to tell them they're having an episode (while obviously not disregarding the fact that what they see is very real to them)?
Case by case, person by person, situation by situation sort of thing. There is not “right” answer that will work every time basically. Everyone has different levels of it(lack of a better word), &reactions. Some may become aggressive one time if you try to explain it is not real, then the next time could accept it. “Feeding” into it could also justify what they believe they’re seeing, which could make them go deeper into that hole. If you deal with someone that has it, I’d recommend talking to a professional about it if you feel like you could use some help understanding how it is&what you can do to help. I couldn’t give you answers online since I don’t know you or anyone that you might now that has schizophrenia. It helps being able to explain to the professional how that person is when they are having an episode, how they are day to day, etc, even better if they could meet them as well.
Omg I didn't know that was her son and I usually know things like this but it's so obvious now. I'm just so happy that she's shining a light on things like this because I honestly think that my son may have inherited this condition from his father because I've been evaluated and was never diagnosed with any mental conditions except being depressed right after having a baby and we all know that it's post depression from having a baby.😊
i see you shushing your hallucinations and telling to stop, but the vids end there. Im curious how long does it usually take and how long it CAN take to get them to go away?? and love to see how u make the best out of it, also i never rlly knew the syptoms nd all that.

I don't think i have schizophrenia but i have auditory hallucinations (unmedicaded, undiagnosed). Sometimes i pretend im petting our dog who's actually in another room, just to mess with my wife
I have a question. Quiet frequently I hear sounds like inaudible voices, my name being called, tapping, footsteps, and knocking. Occasionally I will see people in the corner of my eye or mistake objects for human figures and people (most likely my terrible eyesight.) One of the most common things that happens to me is the voice of a friend or family member shouting my name so loud it sounds like their next to me. I know it isn’t real, so I wonder what it is.
Hi! I have a question i see and hear stuff im also super paranoid out and about thinking people will kill me or hurt me not at all diagnosed or even personally believe i have it, but my mum wants me to talk to someone about it does it help at all? Or should i take a different approach 😅
Yes, you absolutely need to seek professional help if you think everyone is trying to kill you when you're out and about. Sorry to be blunt but not gonna sugarcoat it either. Go get help. You have mental illness of some sort for sure, and you know? If you go get help, you'll be doing an amazing thing for yourself and will hopefully learn how to manage it and live a much much happier life when out and about.
I would definitely recommend going to see a therapist or a psychiatrist for help, and take your mom with you if that will help you feel more comfortable.
Question: If you're schizophrenic and you see for an example: a person (which actualy is an hallucination), can't you Just go up to that """person""" and Just try to touch It to see If It is real or not?
Yeah, but that doesn't work in public if it's not a hallucination, he actually told a story of doing this one time and it was awkward cause he reached out and touched a real person.
Growing up I had two friends who had schizophrenia. One is now a successful member of society, living on his own. The other tried to burn his house down with his family inside. Then when that was thwarted he stripped naked and ran into an older couples house killing them both and stealing their car. So no schizophrenia can’t be “over exaggerated”.
Hey honest question, have you ever tried virtual reality goggles or glasses to alter perception. I saw a vid of you checking your cameras to see if a hallucination was real and I got curious.
Hey I actually have a question. In your videos of you having hallucinations you seem to keep making this "shh" sound even before you are hallucinating. Is this a tick or something that came with having schizophrenia?
Kody my son recently diagnosed. Huge question???? Do u have a large appetite? My son can eat dinner and then he is in the kitchen for more shortly after????
I have a question. You said that your hallucinations mocked you sometimes ..... Did they ever attack you or did they charge at you or something. Cuz I doubt that every hallucination is a friendly one .
Okay so this might be a little… brash, I guess? Idk, but in a video could you explain how it feels to have schizophrenia? I like studying psychology as a hobby, and having an inside perspective would really help get an actual real-world understanding of schizophrenia.
Never really understood schizophrenia, can someone that has it or has been someone close that has it explain if you really do see people. is it an actual human? Kinda like an imaginary friend when you’re younger? Or is it like just a figure and somehow you have communication with it ?
As someone who actually has schizophrenia, she showed the best reputation I could ask for.

Depends on the person, timing, other self-medication, etc. Schizophrenia is a many-headed hydra - depends on so many factors.
