  • What does it mean to be African? Social activists from the first post-apartheid generation, Whispers of Wisdom make stark reference to persistent South African challenges such as poverty, inequality and social ills - contrasted by their soulful and insightful art. In this moving performance of poetry, music and spoken word, the young men Whispers of Wisdom pose critical questions of the complexities of African identity.
Whispers of Wisdom is that distinct moment when poetry and song get together. It is a collaboration that seeks to tug at hearts and souls, by five well written, read and scripted gentlemen who come from different parts of South Africa. They have captured the hearts of many through their work in social activism through their craft. Whispers of Wisdom featured at TEDxCapeTown in 2013, and have since graced stages such as the Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Competition as part of the first African team to be represented there. These talented young men are: Sechaba Nkitseng; Ezra Mokgope; Kneo Mokgopa; Siyabonga Njica and Sibusiso Malimela.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

There is another great one also called celebrating being European white through business & Art . It is Amazing and has a lot of art and poetry from some of the greats through out history like paintings of the Mona Lisa and plays from Shakespeare. Its refreshing i was tired of race always brought up in a lot of talks , i noticed the true racists are the ones who keep trying to call other things racist i just wanted some nice back history of my white heritage on the arts not some political BS.
