The fact that you people get so utterly upset about video games is hilarious. None of you actually create anything that's original, you simply just criticize everyone else who doe. And I'm sorry but there's way too many of you with bad opinions and a camera phone and wait too much time on your hands
Compared to TC2 Motorfest's handling has a lot more depth while at the same time the handling is more stable and predictable. One of the big issues with TC2 was just how unpredictable the handling could be, elevation changes and small jumps specifically could completely throw off the cars at high speeds.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that thought this. 2 quick turns and high speed jumps or little bumps completely just throw the whole car off the road.
I was playing with wheel (G29 + shifter) during the Closed Beta an the predictability of the cars was amazing, it felt like the inputs were precise yet calm and not jolt-y.
THERE, I couldn’t quite figure out why I hated TC2’s handling, until I saw this. It’s not only too grippy, but sometimes slight elevation changes can just send your car off to the side. Doesn’t help that the gravity of this game pulls you down faster than the god damn sun.
Hopefully works a little better with a wheel too

Of course they post last gen gameplay as soon as I click publish...

Where? I don't see that
Playing motorfest on a wheel was a massive change compared to TC2. Cars were so much more responsive and had a lot more feel to them. The only issue I had with the game is remapping options as CARA is bound to the acceleration peddle. Hopefully this is fixed at launch.
Hey there! Which steering wheel do you use on which platform please?
@alexandrecoudert5649 I played on the Xbox Series X and my wheel was a Fanatec GT DD PRO
@@stoneejnr0294 Thanks !
After playing The Crew 2 for a long time I was actually surprised how much Motorfest felt, each car feels better especially at speed!! I noticed many weren’t a fan including myself of how some cars in the Crew 2 at higher speeds felt unstable… Definitely can’t wait for this game!!

We just need motorfest now
Played on beta. HANDLING A LOT BETTER than previous installments and its not that I am even hyping up the game. It just feels good to drive and cruise around with the new physics.
Happy to hear that I would say that was one of my least favourite things in that game
@@therunawaykid6523 Its a serious gripe that we had to endure for the last 5 years 🤣
Is it comparable to fh5? Or more like NFS
@@gkan1042 i'd say it has the responsive steering from NFS, Grippier than Forza.
@@gkan1042for me the handling is better than both those games, the cars just feel exiting to drive and they have feeling of weight to them
Handling is so much better on this one, in fact it might be my favourite part about it. I went on the crew 2 after the motorfest beta and i was shocked about the difference. also a tip, reduce assistance, it feels so nice 💥
Its interesting watching so many ppl here wring their hands over this one. Ubisoft basically just made a Forza Horizon game. Hopefully they studied their competition well. Everything ive seen of Motorfest so far looks similar to what we've been playing over at Playground Games for the last decade
Except Forza can simulate some resemblance of real handling physics
Can't wait for the crew motorfest
the beta surprised me with how good it is
Whats the system requirements for the game?
Even if the handling is crum which is isn't, the multiplayer Grand Race absolutely sold me. It's more Battlefield than 2042 ever was.
forza motorsport 8 and crew motorfest is the move.
I'm looking more forward to Forza 8 tbh way more
I just want them to use the handling from driver Dan Francisco, imo that is still the most fun handling in any game.
i’d say it’s got more realism than arcade-ness this time around
3:45 I like how the camera moves with the environment hence reacting with the ratio of the vehicle, nice.
Honestly as a big Forza fan I was so hyped for Motorfest but the closer we get the more hyped I am for Motorsport and less for Motorfest..
I mean it’s an arcade racing game but yull have more freedom in motorfest then Motorsport so depends on what u want
that crew 1 glitch caught me off guard. that was really funny
Honestly, I’m just glad the cars actually feel like cars and aren’t fucking go-karts with Bugatti bodies.
"In The Crew 2, I even forgot these settings excisted".........And that's where you problem is, the Tuning settings for each car are one of the most important settings in the game, put the camber on 0 0 (all way left), the car properly steers in a corner with ABS and ESP on. (racing set up) / Put the camber on 0 7 with ABS and ESP off and you have driftsettings for whatever car and put the thing as sideways as you want..... And it will be no different in The Crew Motorfest, with the tuning settings you can make any car drift or make it a race trackcar..... If you don't mess around with those things, you'll have exactly the same as in TC2, some cars will have a "weird" feeling. To put it simple : First upgrade your car to maximum level - then grind for yellow parts - 7x Nitro Chemist Set bonus with NOS 5% and Extra Pump 10% (The setbonus is only Active, if you have all 7 of the same). Once you have that, then start playing with tuning sliders and you can make any car the way you want. / If you don't fully upgrade vehicles and don't mess with tuning sliders, you gonna have a hard time in TCM, just like TC2.
Handling in TCM is definitely miles better BUT has one major issue that persists from TC2 and thats slow countersteering or steering in general. When playing PVP where I needed to push the car its limits I still found myself to countersteer bit more or less than i needed to because its took way too long to actually do what I wanted. It always results with ton of unnecessary corrections and bad racing line. Its even worse when you get to hyper car class as they need even faster steering due to more speed.
so, it feels like a half-arsed game
@@johnm2089no this person obviously didn’t go into the deadzone settings because the handling feels great and did you play the beta? On what basis are you calling it half assed?

the most important thing in racing games = having awesome engine sound
and THE CREW 3
Has the best Sounds I've heard in recent games
lol that's why I find it hard to play older Gran Turismo games, they have awful engine sounds. It's not a pleasant experience hearing a vacuum cleaner out of your $1 million dollar supercar that you grinded for.
I just want a the crew like the first one realistic story driven
there are so many other 'realistic' racing games you could play but theyve stopped making them because it became boring. and if they made a 'realistic' 'story driven' (like the crew was ever really known for its story in the first place) game again now it would just... be boring, and feel very samey; it would just be like, The Crew 1.5
I'm a sim racer & Gran Turismo fan, when i play the Crew 2, i turn down Tyre grip Front 40 % & Rear by about 30% & it handles like a sim, gran Turismo like even, try it & see. Leave only Abs on & have a blast.
I played TC2 and TCM Beta and god is it better, I played both game on a T300RS and I hated TC2 but now I pre-ordered TCM. The cars feels more heavy and it's amazing to drive !
Great video Theo, fortunately I played the beta and I completely agree with what you’re saying. They haven’t gone down the sim route but the handling model is much more in depth! Can’t wait until launch day 😭😭😭
I don't know what people are talking about arcade racing games are the best who wants to be stuck on a track all the time
They probably want sim controls for open world.
I’m playing it right now the handling is really good in motor fest
the crew 2 is kinda amazing the Carrs the interior quality the fact that there is a person in the car when you go first person, car sounds amazing, handling is pretty amazing, and the selection of cars. I am now excited that Toyota is allowing cars into the crews game because for a minute now its just been Forza allowed to have them and I am glad that we can now
Honestly handling is second to customization. I don't get why racing games don't have customization, except nfs. Like they always skimp on it, having players hope ng there is customization when they buy a car. Or they end up putting same customization on EVERY CAR, Forza Horizon. Just give us best of all worlds.
I'm just hyped for the Game, i don't care what anyone says!

I hope they added new rims by the time the motorfest comes out 🤦🏿♂️
Doesn't The Crew 2 have like 100 customizable rim options? Of course there are gonna be new rims.
Can you ask them to use a button combo to turn things like traction control, esp and abs on and off so we can keep the immersion!?!
The crew motorfest will be the best racing game since FH4
Im the biggest TC2 hater when it comes to the handling. After 4 days of playing the Motorfest beta, I was/am already sold.
All i want from TCM is to have the pro settings separated by car. I don't use the pro settings in TC2 because I did them for one car and they affected every other car in the spec.
The problem with the handling isn't that it's too arcady, but it's that it feels like you are driving an unresponsive wobbly banana.
To make the handling truly amazing you need to reduce the grip on the rear tires to about 80%

Idk man, I think people should stop talking out of their asses and get to play the game before talking shit. I got access to the beta and it's the best racing game experience I've had in a while. From the sounds to the tropical setting, it's one of the best racing games we've gotten in a while.
Definitely worried… Hawaii… no talk on housing/garages and handling idk I’ll wait until RUclips spills the beans
I could try motorfest because in compare to Fh5 has interesting map and visual car tuning, for me Forza wins only in aspect of car handling
I had no idea that those tuning settings existed. And I’ve played the game for years.
My worry is the map size, tc2 version of America was huge whereas this was originally dlc. Ubi game’s general go on sale quite quickly tho.
Hawaii was suppose to be a DLC?!?
@@dubby7630it started out as that but then turned it into a full game.after playing beta i loved the map,so much more detail than crew 2
The problem with many modern arcade racers is that the handling physics is more complex and the steering filters are what holds it all back. Games are now built from the ground up with conflicting ideas. Dirt 5 and NFS Heat, to name a few, allegedly have a pretty complex handling physics model but then the cars all feel the same, and terribly on top of that. The cars feel planky, understeery, unresponsive, and so on.
Then there's the other problem, steering filters. Games these days just assume that everyone plays the same way, and that way being mashing steering to get the car to do anything. Analog input feels terrible in modern games, which is quite funny because now games have better controller support on PC.
I just finished NFS U2 again and that reminded me how so many older arcade racers did controls so much better. Keyboard and controller were way more responsive and controller simply gave you a bit more precision in longer turns if you can steer smoothly. Modern games have steering so unresponsive that the analog input feels like it has tons of input lag.
Motorfest, and TC2, suffer from a terrible steering filter too. Unresponsive and slow steering, especially when trying to correct a slide.
Back on the topic of The Crew, The Crew 2 started off with slightly unresponsive steering but predictable physics but there was some huge change to the handling, due to community feedback, and the handling became horrible. That is why I am not buying Motorfest.
These days everyone in The Crew 2 hates the handling, casual to competitive players, but for some reason it was because of the players that the handling became god awful. IVT was somehow blind to how bad the handling had become that only the tryhards could do something with that garbage handling and when those tryhards got tired of it or left the game we were all left with how it is right now.
Nothing is stopping IVT from pulling that off again with Motorfest and I am not willing to risk $70.
Motorfest looks great I always love exploring new maps and the cars definitely look much better handling wise I will be looking forward to playing this one not fussed about negative comments
HANDLING. IT'S MUCH IMPROVED. NEXT QUESTION.
Its feels sorta like Midnight club La. Except upgradeed from that.
Every Crew game has that weird really low speed steering whateverthefuckitis when you're recovering from a tankslapper. Almost like it's the only realm in the multiverse capable of snap understeer. I still love it though, and I can't wait for next week!!
i don't have any real hype for Motorfest, but i hope it's good purely so Horizon gets some competition (with Solar Crown coming up, too), so they can like.. put in more effort into the game and add a bunch of new stuff that people have been asking for for like ages
I’ve played the close beta for like 2 days & comparing it to tc2 , motorfest is in every way better then the crew 2
Idk if it’s just me but the tachometer should be like 2x smaller
1x smaller is completely away. Do you mean 50% smaller? 😉
For me it seems perfect.
You need to do a video on the planes and there handling from the crew motorfest versus the crew 2 .
They should add a feature making it possible to switch which side is the drivers side. As in just used to right hand drive and friving lhd makes a blur on the left where its usually clear
Hi, sorry to keep asking this but nobody seems bothered to answer this one question 😂 I’m disabled so I use a joystick that is the equivalent to the directional pad on a GamePad. Before I buy the game can you please tell me if you can remap up to accelerate - down to brake - left to steer left - right to steer right, just like I can in Gran Turismo 7? I really hope so. Thanks in advance😊
I really hope The Crew Motorfest stands out well. Im all for arcade style racing games.
Just want them to add ride hight, fix the mirrors, pedestrians and wildlife
High beams add on (the feature is there but no option to utilize it) cuz there is going to be lots of night driving, and in the jungle.
With Forza M.🏎️ almost here but being able to play this b4 it comes out…Q4 end of year looks good for racing games
Not gonna lie I’m nervous about buying this game lol i’m definitely going to use that five hour trial to test it out
Fun game but I wouldn't buy full price myself but it's definitely worth around 40$
how do you get t he trial
I've played the Beta and the handling in Motorfest is way better than the Crew 2
The handling doesn't look great for me personally if i'm honest, but doesn't mean the game wont be fun. Cars in games like Burnout handle nothing like real cars but those games are still fun.
Thought I was the only one who likes settings menus😭 I always make sure the hdr and modes are perfect. Can’t have the default stuff.
my main concern with the motorfest is if its ACTUALLY crossplay... i.e can I invite my PlayStation buddies on my PC into a crew..... they're marketing the game as cross platform, but I seriously hope its not JUST because of the big 28 man races
The crew drive physics are like if u were driving a brick.

I played the first closed beta
And i can say the handling improved a lot from the crew 2
reminds me of Driver: SF, good old days
The handling was such a surprise in the beta because all I'd played recently was NFS Unbound (🤮) and was actually having fun in a racing game.
Dont buy first 2, but this one is pre-order 🙂 for this money is good game
With The Crew 2 I felt that the handling was too twitchy for me. I tended to oversteer quite badly and I was like a ping pong ball bouncing off the walls, crashing, and ultimately losing races. Needless to say I stopped playing the game fairly quickly and went back to FH4/5. Edit: I did adjust the pro controls like youtube videos suggested, including turning esp off, but it sadly was still not enough to make it playable for me.
Exactly the same for me. I got TC2 on Steam when it was on sale for like $6 (thank goodness). That was my experience too a T. I tried it for a few hours, played with some settings, but I could feel myself caring less and less. Eventually, I just went back to Unbound and FH5.
If I buy motorfest on both pc and ps5, am i able to transfer my the crew 2 owned cars on xbox to both new platforms?
Handling is just a bit too easy, you can turn on roads to easily, not enough parallel slide
Was fun for an hour honestly for it to only take 15 mins to get around the map makes it get boring fast.
I would love something like The Crew or NFS but with simulation handling.
I played the 5 hours free trial on XSX. There's a serious flaw with this game.
Car handling around corners is not good. The steering action doesn't feel right. Rather than a smooth turning progression around bends, it works by impulse (all or nothing), which makes the car go from "full turn" to "go straight" and back to "full turn" again, with no in-between, creating a small zigzag effect. In tight corners, because of this, cars have a tendency to snap into oversteer without warning as you need to turn more towards the apex. You need to correct this behaviour a bit too often. So, the interaction with a standard controller kind of sucks. Maybe it's better on a wheel. This reminds me of the poor steering mechanics in the old racing games.
To me this really detracts from a fun and inmersive racing experience. Handling is everything. Didn't stop me from easily winning all the races from 3 playlists and somewhat enjoying some of the Doughnut races, but it certainly hindered the feel of a nice racing experience.
I'm not asking for a simulator, all I want is car easy to control and steer around bends, a predictable behaviour. I've played arcade games with a better handling than Motorfest. I didn't say a more realistic handling but a more controlable one. Compared with Forza Horizon 5 or even a proper arcade game like NFS Unbound, it's night and day in that respect, where car handling is top notch with a smooth and progressive conicity.
Ubisoft already had an awesome handling in Driver San Francisco, if only they could bring that style of handling in this game, this will make driving 1000x more fun.
Well, you're lucky, a lot of people who played Motorfest said that its physics kinda remembered them do driver SF
Ok, the handling looks more stable and grounded than The Crew 2. Jumping still looks weird, but that's just something else.
I only use PS5 for games so there just isn't any other option than this right now. That's why I bought it.
I will also get TDU:SC but that one has not even a release date as of yet, so in the meantime this will do just fine. I also like that this has the tropical island vibe I wish TDU went for again.
Surely they didn't have to follow what Forza has already made. Playlists and festivals have been a thing since 2012 when the original Forza Horizon came out. People have been begging Forza to make a horizon in Japan and Ubisoft could have really capitalised on that opportunity and beat Forza to it. It seems as though the people making car games don't actually know what car enthusiasts want, or just aren't listening and only make what is trending and this is a clear example of that. This is just the same recipe with a slightly different twist. If you want car people buying car games you have to do something different to what is already on the market
Handling is nice I guess, but they decided to make it an almost copy of another festival styled racing game that people start to get bored of...
They should have went back to style from the first game (pre-Wild Run).
Can't believe NFS is the only unique one nowadays but sadly it's got mobile game handling physics still.
Personally I'm ready for a forza horizon style new game since it's 2 years old and don't forget Playstation has nothing like this
@@metallicafan416 true, it's nice for PS folks. In my case, I dropped H5 3 months after it came out since it's basically more or less the same thing since H3 and I got super bored of it 😭
Going from Horizon 4-5 on a wheel, to even TC2.......was a night and day difference. Horizon 4 was definitely not designed for a wheel, but Horizon 5 was a TREMENDOUS let down with driving on a wheel. Going from controller to wheel for comparison.......was like constantly trying to drive on ice unless you set the rotation to 360 or less to even keep the dam car straight on asphalt, and forget even dipping a tire in the dirt. I have NEVER seen a game where letting off the accelerator to slow down causes the car to want to spin in a dam straight line. I absolutely detest Horizon for being that effed up with a wheel. I can't WAIT for Motorfest and during the Closed Beta test it was a DREAM on the wheel and I genuinely loved the driving feel and control on a wheel. 100% do not regret buying Motorfest early, but I constantly hate seeing the waste of cash that says 'Horizon 5' in my Steam library.
The body customization is super expensive like the front bumper cost 13k bucks
Bro I come from NFS handling and this is way better lol so I’m chillin this shit is fire
Imo car physics they've improved on but one thing I don't see a lot of people talking about, since I guess it's not the main focus of the game, is the bike physics. Imo the bike physics got downgraded in TCM compared to TC2. The bikes should feel more agile and nimble than cars but in TCM they felt really heavy and understeery
I am extremely not-worried. They'll sort it out.
Thanks Brother. This was a great explanation. God Bless!
I wonder if they released all the videos after yours came out 🤣 We got the handling videos and last gen videos all in the past 2 days
For the most realistic handling of cars in games go to either Forza Horizon/Forza Motorsport or GTA 4/5 (4 for suspension and damage and 5 the rest)
Handling in motorfest is mid nfs unbound handling is wayyyy better
so i’m pretty sure the crew 2 has some sorta fake traction control, what the game does is it puts all the mass of the car towards the rear once you start turning, leading to them not breaking loose and just generally feeling really bad and unnatural to drive
