So after putting it off for a long time I had to change the brakes on the buick lucerne. This has been a great daily driver and it was time for new brakes. The brake replacement for the lucerne is one you have seen here several times. Its the power stop brake kit. While its not the drilled and slotted version they make a set of stock replacements. For the money its hare to beat. I think its the cheapest way to replace your brakes if you own a Buick Lucerne.
The kit comes with new brake pads, rotors and hardware.

Thanks for the video. Had the front wheel bearing done at the dealership because I didn't want to deal with it. They said it would be $500 for just the rear breaks! I've gotten lazy about working on my cars but I'm not that lazy!

I've got a 07 Lucerne that I bought new and it still looks brand new to this day. One of the biggest complaints that I've had about the braking system on this car, is that the rotors are not able to dissipate enough heat and they warp easy, making it pulsate or vibrate when you stop. I don't have any complaints about the stopping power, but it just seems like they could have improved on the rotors : )

I have a 08 3.8 litre. Any suggestions on the stabilitrak sensor? Had it in shop 3 times now and it's still not fixed.

Great video; thanks. One question, why did you put the caliper grease on the back side of the brake pad @13:40 & 16:11? (Also, on my 07, I replaced a wheel bearing and when I put the pads back on, the metal tab indicator for worn brake pads would hit the inside of the calipers when it was supposed to open, so it did matter which way they went on for my pads.)
Thank you. I put grease on them to keep them from rattling and making noise. Some vehicles it does matter where the wear indicator goes

Hey man, I just got a 2008 Lucerne and want to get it tinted. This looks perfect, what do you have on the sides/windshield?
35% on Windshield. 5% everywhere else
I just got my 2011 Lucerne delivered to my home from Kansas. The drivers drove the car with the brake chime on for many miles and now the parking brake pedal does not hold. Is it something to do with the caliper since there are no parking brake shoes? Or is it a simple rotate adjustment with the cable below the vehicle?
Could be the calipers. Don't remember if the show is in the middle of rotor or not.

Check the brake line. May be collapsing internally.

No issues but the 08 doesn't have a 3800
