      - Cher- I Saw A Man And he Danced With His Wife (1974): Cher eyes a dude dancing with his Wife, who she wants...only for us to find out, she previously was in a relationship with him, that he now wants to re-kindle...
      - Eurythmics -Savage (1987): ...Annie has a bad breakup, and tries to retain her dignity...but, has now become cynical, bitter, heartless & cold, because of it.....
      - Donna Summer - Lucky (1979 "Bad Girls" LP track): Donna has a One Night stand, thinking that taking a chance, will find her TRUE LOVE....but, the dude splits, making it, ANOTHER one night stand....
      - George Michael - Cowboys & Angels (1990 LP track): George has a fling with a chick, but feels himself falling for a dude....he's got to ease out of the relationship with HER, to get...with HIM....spoken, with VERY evasive lyrics....
      - Pet Shop Boys -Being Boring (1990): ....G-y Man sees his friends passing away from 'the big disease with the little name', he reminisces about the Good Ol' Times they had, thru the decades......
      - Boz Scaggs - Heart Of Mine (1988): ...Boz has a breakup, but he's speaking to his HEART, to let go, instead of telling the listener, how HE'S feeling.....

The Fixx is on the road right now! And there’s a great new song out called “Wake Up’ that you can find right here on RUclips and all the usual places, with a new album coming out next year. That means more touring then as well and I highly recommend seeing them live. Their performances are always tight, polished and large-venue-worthy, but in a more intimate space and making that closer connection, it’s extra magical.

The Fixx, to me, HAVE BEEN and ARE one of the greatest bands of multi-generations. And yet they somehow still don't get all the recognition and praise that they deserve. Shame on Spotify for not offering The Fixx's ENTIRE catalog of music. That's a disservice to the world, especially today. What a f--king GREAT and much needed band is The Fixx! It's literally A BLESSING that The Fixx are still together, still performing live, and still making great new music, as they always have. I encourage anyone who feels similarly about The Fixx to please be vocal about it in any way you feel comfortable. The world and the music industry simply can't afford to let insufficiently heralded bands like The Fixx to fade away any time soon. Peace. And thank you.

Why do you think people holding political office for 40 years say if you would just vote for them (for the umphteen time) they will "fight" against the "evil" opposition? Its not a fact, but a truism that even those who are part of the system agree with - in the hope you will believe they aren't one of them.

Absolutely one of the best ever bands. Remember taking a regular (off-duty miitary -- was a great place to just 'hang', especially around spring break) stroll on the beach in Daytona back in '89. Thought, "Cool! -- Live music!" Stopped in my tracks about 50 paces later -- it was that engaging! Listened for awhile and thought to myself, "Wow a FIXX cover band!" (PA speakers were apparently horrible back then, or just used to headphones, idk) Stunned to later find out that was really them! And lucky enough to catch them at a proper concert some 25 years later at the other corner of the US in Portland OR. Thank you, FIXX! =]

Saw the Fixx open for the Moody Blues in 86/87 at the Indianapolis Sports Center (clay courts) from the 3rd row. Reportedly Jaimie West Orem's first child was being born as they played. THE moment of the evening for ME was when Justin Hayward stepped forward as he played the opening to "Story in Your Eyes". Magical evening RIP Graeme Edge

Blessed to have grown up in the 80s what an amazing time with music videos they were so special! It was an art and so diverse you could grow your music understanding and passion it touched you so deep in so many ways . would stay up all night on weekends watching them ! The Fixx solidified the movement the trend the message there was a story behind it all in each video then. The Fixx had that sound that no other had it opened a third eye to the times to your own deep thinking. I still listen to this day and feel a lot of that again. One of my top 5 bands ever!

Great interview! I had wanted to see The Fixx for a very long time and finally got my chance when they played the Arcada in St. Charles, IL Saturday night. Small venue, great sound, and the band was completely on point. The crowd loved when they played this song, Are We Ourselves, and Stand or Fall, but my personal favorite was Red Skies. So good. Cy's vocals were fantastic and most songs sounded album-perfect. I highly recommend seeing them live.
Keep up the good work. Really enjoying your interviews.

Love The Fixx and their music. Cy is one of those greats that could take his anti political stance in such a meaningful way without "hugging trees" or yelling in your face. A poet...if you will....able to put what's going on in a style of sing-along music and lyrics to capture you but not aggressive to dismay you 💗🕊️

Back when I was 18, and had just graduated from high school (1983), and had just bought my first car (a Mustang), I used to drive, at least once every week, to a remote Roller Skating Rink. This rink had a hardwood floor and an overhead (centered) disco ball. I hated disco (which, thankfully, was never played at this particular rink), but I LOVED when the owner of the rink would TURN OFF ALL THE LIGHTS, and turn on ONLY a single tiny spotlight, which would be pointed at the rotating disco ball. In the dark, you could skate FREESTYLE, at Top Speed, while a song like _One Thing Leads To Another_ would be playing (...blasting out of 4 speakers; placed in each of the 4 corners of the skating rink.)

I saw them at the Hollywood Park Race Track Sep 06, 1983 The Police, The Fixx, Berlin and Thompson Twins. I turned 21 11 months earlier that year. I spent a very long time in a beer line and missed the Fixx and others. One thing I do remember the song Synchronicity was bringing the house down it was awesome. I still have the Police Synchronicity arm less t-shirt. It was a thing back then. I even had an arm less zip-up hoodie lol. Loved the 80's, I had the Reach the beach cassette. I really enjoy your channel.
