I don't if it can be considered an "effect" but I would love to see your take on art nouveau lettering. There is a lot that could be done with light and shadows there.
Thank u so much for this tutorial 😍 I will try it for sure and I also have one request ..can u please create a tutorial on how to make embossing brush in procreate? Or how to create your own brush etc?
@@bertminderbertminder6741 hmm I have to admit that this is the first time I hear about it. Thank you so much for the suggestion, I will definitely look into it :)
Good one! I would add that in the end, you may need to play with the 3 layers by adjusting with Gaussian blur and also the brightness, so that the 'smooth' embossed effect looks even more realistic. Also, I find useful to smudge a little more the edges of the letters on the main layer, so that the edge is not so sharp, to give the illusion of a smoother transition between the bright side and the shadow side of the lettering.
Excellent tutorial with a touch of humor (much appreciated). I think this is probably the best process for embossing I've seen in the year I've been watching RUclips videos about Procreate. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. Kathy
Hey Jennifer, thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it :) That's a great idea, I might make one yes. I just need to figure out how to do it first :D
Hey Adam, no problem! For that capital B, I used the brush pack created by my friend Jake Rainis. It's one of my all-time favorite blackletter brush packs and I HIGHLY recommend it. Here is the link - www.designcuts.com/product/blackletter-dry-brushes-for-procreate/?ref=ld&tap_s=1962166-06f696
I thank you very much by the way your tutorials are great love following you I have learned more with you in 2 weeks then I learned in 3 years following other courses that coast me a fortune thank you very much for Ewing their use beginners after 3 years I still conserve myself as a beginner because I haven’t learned all I need to know. So once again thank you for being their Adam’s
@@letteringdaily I think I typed the incorrect time stamp 😅 I meant to put it around the 5:28 mark, when you were sarcastically saying it looks horrible lol. I liked the way it looked then, but I wanted to finish the tutorial from staft to finish. Thank you so much for the tutorial
HI, Easier way copy lettering layer, move down , then "Adjustments">"Saturation" > "brightness" Turn down Make Shadow Turn Up Make Light same result , Cheer
Thanks for sharing this method. It is similar but i wouldn't say it's really the same thing. If you look at real embossed papers you will notice that the slightly raised letters (or objects) dont have the same texture as the paper, it's slightly smoother. I was trying to replicate the real thing as much as possible.
What effect or tutorial should i cover in my next video? Let me know by dropping a comment below 🙂👇👇

Thank you and Love the tutorial, I watch your awesome tutorials to hear you not to listen to the background music I found that very distracting
Thank you for the feedback. Will take that into consideration for the next videos. :)
There it is again! No, you don’t need an iPad Pro. I have a basic and it works just fine.
you're right. My bad :D
good!!!
Thanks!!
I'm not sure the step around 7:00 looks all that bad to me haha, but i have to stay focused.
Send me an email and i'll do my best to help you out :)

Needs captions please
There should be automatic captions for the video.
Nice video, thanks.
However, background music a too loud, and you’re a bit too fast in the tutorial.
Awesome content still.
Thank you for the feedback! I will try to keep it in mind for future videos.
@@letteringdaily thank you.
But this is debossed not embossed 😢
IT LOOKS GREAT, BUT IT'S DEFINITELY NOT ONE FOR BEGINNERS LIKE ME, MAYBE I'LL TRY IN A FEW MONTHS/YEARS LOL.
Thank you, take your time :)
Music on background is annoying
Thanks, i appreciate the constructive feedback.
I found the background noise very distracting, it prohibited me from watching the whole tutorial….too bad, I would have loved learning this.
Sorry about that. I'll keep it in mind for future videos. There is also an article (link in the description) that covers the same process.
Thanks
Thank you, Trevor! :)
