I did my best to isolate the music from the short clip of the unreleased early version of the theme from The Batman by Michael Giacchino. Hopefully, it'll be released one day! My theory is that this will be the evolved version of the theme for the sequel. Since the first movie ended with Batman learning that he needed to become a symbol for hope and this version of the theme sounds more hopeful, triumphant, and heroic. It could be like how he did for the Spider-Man movies, where he evolved the theme as the character grew and evolved.
I like how trying to isolate the music has given it an old crackly vinyl sound.
@@damienmcdevitt7293 it accidentally bolsters the '70s old hollywood vibe the soundtrack was going for
@@rickygforce4217 it certainly does.
I think you're right on the money. It's a more heroic version of the Bruce Wayne theme in the final score, which is more tragic sounding. Giacchino will probably evolve the theme over time to become more of a classic hero theme like he did with the MCU Spider-Man theme.
I wholeheartedly hope you end up being correct about this theme. Giacchino seems to love evolution, and if he manages to do something similar to his work on Spider-Man with this Batman theme, I will be utterly blown away. I already loved the theme used in the film and think it's possibly the best Batman theme yet, but if this is completed it would be undeniably perfect and a phenomenal way to highlight Bruce's growth. It's more hopeful, more heroic. I couldn't agree more with your analysis.
I feel like this version would be better for the evolution of Batman. The theme evolves with him, he’s more heroic and the song is more heroic in tone.
Yeah, that's my theory. Like I said in my comment
just like giacchino did with spider-man
I agree. This piece sounds like the end of the trilogy when the idea of the Batman has triumphwd
Watching the directors commentary yeah it seems like that might be what is going to happen as Matt says the first heroic thing he does in the movie not for the sake of vengeance is when he leaps to cut the wire that could possibly kill him, and begins to lead the people he realizes he can do more than just beat people up to make a change.
Holy goosebumps at 0:44 - 1:15. This sounds like the ending of a great Trilogy with Batman standing on a roof..
I could imagine Bruce sending Richard off to blue haven with this theme
More than a roof, a fucking gargoyle ! 😁
Jeez, that part was freaking amazing. They will definitely include this in the coming sequels.
YEESSS, and the final shot would be an homage to Batman The Animated Series where he's standing on the rooftop
Imagine he’s on the roof and then it slowly zooms out and pans out of Gotham into the sky and towards the bat signal. Then the bat signal fades into the Batman title and the credits roll
It kind of sounds like his own version of the Batman: The Animated Series motif at 0:17.
Yeah, in the video description I mentioned that part of it reminds me of Shirley Walker's Batman theme. I really like it!
I love it. Very classic golden era film music vibes. Feels too heroic at this stage though, maybe that will be Batman’s theme in the later films
Yeah, my theory is that the theme will evolve as this Batman grows. Like Michael Giacchino also did for the MCU Spider-Man trilogy
I love how in the film the music is very 1930-40s era sounding, especially with the love scenes between catwoman and batman feel straight out of that era its fantastically fitting for batman for some reason creates a sense of wonder. I hope superman gets this kinda reverence maybe a new flying in the night sky scene.
Perfectly said.
@@-Juniorinteresting.
As someone who sees Shirley Walker's theme as THE official Batman theme, I'm glad Giacchino was inspired by it for both this unreleased track and the score of the film.
I think Giacchino will probably find a way to incorporate that into the sequel's theme (like he did with the Planet of the Apes and Spider-Man films). He has a fantastic way of adding layers to themes.
Yeah, that's my theory. I explained more in my comment!
@@-Junior But hay that's just a theory... *a Film Theory*
I swear there was parts of Planet of the Apes in his The Batman score. I don't mind it though, but they were there for sure.
I figured he’d do the same thing he did with Spider-Man’s theme by adding more layers. Can’t wait to hear his sequel score
Yeah that my theory!
I can literally smell the cinema from this theme.
Damn this is so different from the actual theme, it's very Elfmanesque especially at 0:17. It reminds me of the end scene of Batman 1989 when Gordon activates the Bat Signal.
0:17 is so beautiful
I love this man's work.
From Medal of Honor, to Rogue One, to The Batman, Michael Giacchino always delivers.
I like the theme it fits more he discovered himself as a hero and the theme has that 89 and BTAS feels
If this is played in one of the upcoming Battinson movies, it's undoubtedly the best Batman theme we've ever gotten. It's got everything in it, and you can FEEL Batman's purpose and history when listening.
This universe just keeps getting better when you think it can't! 🙌 🦇
0:17-0:34 is just perfection
Frankly, it sounds like a more heroic version of the existing theme. I can imagine it being used in Part II or III, to help signal the growth of his character.
I like it, but I love the version that ended up being in the movie; feels more stoic, captures his transition from vengeance to hope perfectly
This would be the perfect theme for the last film in the series.
Really hope it makes it in the sequel.
0:17
Every time you finish a level on Lego The Batman the Video game (2024)
I can see this being used for a sequels opening. Maybe having an opening sequence of a villain introduction, then a cut to Batman standing ontop of a skyscraper, faith restored, hopeful, a protector and looking down on Gotham. Possibly even referencing the Batman: TAS Opening.
This theme fits perfectly to the climax where he says he is a symbol of hope and then ride the bike and part ways with catwoman.
Holy sh7t!!!!!!!! This is a f#cking masterpiece.
I want 0:17 to play as he takes his first glide though Gotham.
Lloraría de lo hermoso que es
It really does have, A Shirley Walker. Batman The Animated Series vibe to it
I hope they use this in The Batman 2 as a good bridge between Bruce Wayne and Batman
I'm at least happy that half of this made it into the ending track "All's Well That Ends Farewell," which I honestly prefer as the main theme since it encapsulates the more triumphant and heroic nature of Batman while keeping those classic broody, gothic elements.
They can use this for the next one since he's more heroic. Sounds dope!
0:18 perfect for the sequel shows his evolution form vengeful vigilante to the guardian and hero of Gotham
I’m imagining this could work as a theme for Bruce after he has taken on Dick Grayson as a sidekick. Batman is always more explicitly heroic once he’s paired with Robin, and that’s exactly the vibe I get from this
Reminds me of Giacchino's No Way Home score after having a non orchestra version of it in Homecoming.
It sounds more heroic, it would fit a more expirienced Batman, like in the third movie or something like that
The theme they went with perfectly reflects how he’s seen in the movie, he’s got his moments of heroics but overall he’s still seen as a figure of fear until the very end. It’d be cool if one of the sequels use a take on this version of the theme to show just how much their views have shifted- from a dark knight to a guardian angel.
I think this was meant to be the original end titles theme. It was later replaced by other tracks from the movie "Escaped Crusader" and "Are You a Kenzie or a Can't-zie?".
We need this officially!!!
I didn’t like Batman theme in this movie, it felt like something was missing.
Now I finally now what, love this version so much.
Agreed. It's Giacchino's most disappointing effort in his entire career after Apes. I blame Reeves for it - I have no doubt at all he bombed him with hundreds of "nonono, too melodical, make it more post-2000's Zimmer" comeback notes after every music sample sent by Giacchino in his usual goldmithwilliamsesque style. Damn Reeves and his overrated hackery, only second to Nolan's (and probably third to Tarantino's -plagiarizing- _homaging_ arse).
This is beautiful.
Sound like a theme in like the 3rd film where he is no longer a vigilante but the hero of Gotham. This theme is more heroic and graceful, Where the one they used in the Batman was more frightening and lonely if that makes sense
Feels very Danny Elfman lol
this sounds like a theme that would play at the climax of a movie, if matt goes fantastical i could see the theme being played after batman dies and is resurrected by the bat family in a lazarus pit, hope restored for the city
I love how you can hear the euphonium
If Batman was a skywalker
This should become the theme of the next movie, as it fits with how Batman turned away from vengeance to hope
Ngl recently I’ve been trying to put together a theme that would fit for the second movie just for fun.
I feel that they might reuse this theme for the 3rd movie. For when Batman truly becomes Gothams protector and a true hero
I get serious BTAS vibes from this.
Me encantaría que este fuera el tema de la 2
Have a feeling they’ll use a more refined version of this in later movies, when he’s a lot more heroic and much more like comic Batman with Bruce Wayne.
So epic
I've got to say, Michael Giacchino's score for The Batman almost rivals Danny Elfman's 1989 score in my heart. The Batman is truly the best the character has been since The Dark Knight in 2008. I can't wait for The Batman: Part II.
I just see this theme playing at some big moment maybe he gets a new suit or something that resembles batman way more, it just makes me think of the animated series intro of the lighting revealing batman. Like a big hero finding himself moment.
this is going to be his next theme.
And this is an early version so I think in the next movie it will be perfect, he has a long time to perfect it
The heroic part is great but it sounds like it could be in any superhero movie. The theme they ended up with is pure Batman
I beg to differ. It honestly reminds me of the BTAS/MOTP score
@@RealFanOfSteel Wait are we talking about cartoons or real movies?
@@ryanb5098 I hope by "real" you mean live action because real movies can be any medium. Live action or animated. But in this case, I am referring to Batman: The Animated Series and it's spin off film, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
@@RealFanOfSteel I was just goofin. I love the animated series
@@ryanb5098 oh good.
I wonder if Michael Giacchino will compose Final Destination 6 since this is like Shirley Walker’s Batman Theme
They need to use this Theme in the Sequel.

🤩
Robert Pattinson is Batman
❤
The
Batman
I hope this theme is the theme for the second movie
HOLY SHIT this is amazing could 1000000% play at the end of the 3rd film Batman and if Robin running across roofs reaching a tall one then seeing the signal or something 😢👏🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😊
Genial.
Much better
Theory: he gets robin in part 2 and this is the theme for the dynamic duo
This score should be in the sequel
They better use it in the 3th Film as Batman Evolved in A hope of gotham
This is an early version of All’s Well That Ends Farewell. What is wrong with you people? This is in the movie.
All's Well That Ends Farewell is a variation of the theme from the movie. This is an unused early version of the theme from the movie. All's Well That Ends Farewell is basically a shorter version of the final theme but with a big finish.
@@-Junior however you want to frame it, this early version is similar enough to All’s Well That Ends Well that it would be too redundant to put in a sequel and pretend it’s a unique piece.
@Ocelot006 Listen to them right after one another, and you'll hear the clear difference
Hear me out…..
Dick Grayson is out trying to hunt for the one who killed his parents and is attacked by a gang and suddenly 0:16 Batman shows up and fights the gang and Dick fights with him. Bit of a tease at the Dynamic Duo
He already said this is a trilogy focusing on Batman no other people
Would be amazing if this played somewhere in a sequel where he overcomes a tremendous struggle.
This is to „happy“ for the Movie. Good that they did not use that
Should’ve of been at the ending he became more heroic.
sounds too positive definitely should be the unreleased version
Not Dark . Fits best for Superman
It's just a sped up version of the final theme
There is different stuff with the timing, background, the way the notes are played, and the instrumentation, and at the end, it's also different. It gives it an overall more hopeful and triumphant feel
@@-Junior i know but I mean it's mostly a sped up version, cause at half speed it sounds like the final theme

HAHAHHA BATMAN HEROIC TONE BAHHAHAH
yall weird af
The animated series had a heroic tone
Emo batman 😭
As a lifelong Batman fan, everything about this film was disappointing. The music sounded pedestrian and generic, and could be used for any military or historical piece.
Music is supposed to inspire or elicit an emotional response. This left me feeling, "Meh."
Flame all you want, but this "Batman" blows duck.
cry about it if you want
its allright having an opinion, I might think its a shit opinion but atleast I dont have it.
This could might as well be music from spiderman. Not fan of giachino
You're joking... this is the closest to the Shirley Walker theme anyone's gotten and here's you going "might as well be music from spiderman" lmfao
@@rickygforce4217 Not joking. This just sounds like it could be in spiderman since its giaccino
@@hotdogdeliveryguy4121 bruh it sounds nothing like his actual SM theme tho
@@rickygforce4217 What im saying is that the music could fit in spiderman. Not that it sounds like the theme
@@hotdogdeliveryguy4121 What? This sounds more like Shirley Walker than any Spider-Man theme.
Imo its cool, but The original tops this because the original is a masterpiece and french kiss🤌🤌.
