Yes! Absolutely! My 2018 Les Paul Classic Gold Top looks just like that. I love the Vibramate. The Vibramate makes it much easier to install and remove strings. Just remember: it adds weight. So, if you have a non weight-relief Les Paul like my Classic, it's gonna be heavy. Mine runs about 10.5lbs.
Love the vibramate system! Used it for my Gibson Les Paul Standard. When I sold that LP Standard, it was simple to convert it back to stoptail and sell accordingly. Wish I had that when I added a Bigsby to my SG. Also love their string spoiler, which hangs the strings off the end of the Bigsby rather than force you to crimp the ball bearings.
I never use my Tremolo bar options on my Strats, but I do set those bridges up to allow me to use a touch of palm vibrato. I’d like to be more expressive with more overt tremolo use in a way that seems more organic than “I got this new gadget, and I’m going to use it all the time now.”
Serms that Bigsby's tone get more musicality ! Maybe caused by increasing high frequencies. Else, great advantage with Vibramate is that B7 Bigsby fits perfectely well centered ( which is not ever the case, even with ecpensiver Custom Shop models...
Even if you don’t use the Bigsby it looks cooler on there. I’ve used a Vibramate on a Les Paul, but I think I’m going to screw it into the top of the semi-hollow body guitar I just bought. String Spoiler makes string changes easy.
I wish the bar was closer to the strings so you can sound more like Jeff Beck. You have to pluck the string then grab the bar. Wish they made some kind of adapter or something you could hold while strumming or plucking the strings.
Recently added a Bigsby with Vibramate to my Les Paul. It lasted a week before it took it off. I’ve had multiple Gretsches with Bigsbys and loved them. On the Les Paul it weighed a ton and sent the guitar out of tune every time I used it. Each to their own but I think a Les Paul is better as it is.
In terms of tone the only difference I felt was whether you were playing harder or more softly. It didn't sound like the bridge was causing the difference, but rather your own dynamics.
I'm now tempted to install a B7 and V7 on my Harley Benton SC-450 P90 LP as opposed to my Gibson LP. An easy $305 investment upgrade for sure. Thanks for sharing!
People that bash about the weight or hate vibrato don’t know how to use both to their advantage. 1. Weight. No one is touring for a year playing every night for 2-3 hours. So get real. And go to the gym and get a strong core! And a thick strap 2. Vibrato has been a part of guitars since the beginning. Many great songs use or need vibrato. It adds a ton to your expression and style. I was afraid too. But like learning bends, it’s takes 7:32 practice to master. And not much. A couple of weeks of daily work. 3. LPs have the sustain like nothing else (and I have a lot of axes) so the weight is a plus to me!!
@@weecol1141 take it off and see what the finish looks like underneath. The Bigsby will have to stay on. Of course if you only have it on for a month it’ll be fine but what’s the point in doing that.
It undeniably changes the sound. You loose detail in the high frequencies and gain a metallic twang. I prefer not to Bigsby a "good" Les Paul. If you have one that sings and resonates nicely it will not enhance the sound.

Team Bigsby here. With P90- equipped Les Pauls, the Bigsby sounds more open, has more overtones, and gets a raunchier sound when you want it to.

Yes! I used the Vibramate too. Works great for me, love Bigsbys, have them on many of my guitars.

Absolutely! My Gretsch electromatic has a bigsby on it and its amazing!
Adding the Vibramate Spolier piece makes stringing really easy.
Got my Vintage V100 LP copy turning up with a bigsby soon, think they look cool on any LP style guitar

Nice look with B7

I want this exact setup. Planning getting a gold top this month.

I think their great. It just sucks to restring alone.
Brilliant concept , might get one but from the vid im not sure its that effective, maybe you need a roller bridge and locking nut also ?
I think a bigsby sounds great with p90s or filtertrons but i prefer a stopbar top wrapped with a humbucker equipped les paul 👍
Of course with bigsby sir!👍

Put a Les trem. Better tuning stability and it's an easy install

Does nobody ever use the capo trick for stringing it up?
Screw holes or no screw holes it is going to affect the finish. But I do love Bigby’s on Les Pauls, SG’s and Tele’s.
I’ve had one on my Custom for 10 years without any damage to the finish

YES!!
Thinking of doing that to mine
que genial la instalación del Bigsby... nuy bue video. saludos desde Chile
Makes sense to have an ancient trem applied to an ancient guitar. Im more interested in a Gretsch with a Floyd Rose.
Hell ya, love how it sounds
It's like a fish on a bicycle
🤣
When saw your comment I was exactly at 0:26, laughed so hard 🤣
Yes but the saddle smells sooooooo good !
Ha ha! Great!😂
the real question is not why is the fish on the bicycle, but is it any good at riding it?
How does it fit in a standard LP hard case with the B7 installed?
I ❤ bigsby ❤
Looks cool. But I prefer Les Trem. Less weight, costs less and easier to restring.
I hate bigsbys, they definitely look cool though. Very cool how easy that installed 👌
Honestly, makes you look like you are having a very uncomfortable tank.
What a tanker😂😂😂 w
im planning to put one in my lp..does it stay in tune ?
I’d say no, unfortunately
I wanna see a jazzmaster vibrato on a Les Paul lol
You guys stalking me? I was literally looking up LP’s with Bigsby’s lol.
Love Bigsbys but the Vibramate Spoiler will save your sanity
Tone is much better with the Bigsby.
Would’ve been better to put a Duesenberg on there you wouldn’t have drill the Guitar
Did you even watch the video bro? There’s no holes to drill with the Vibramate
@@weecol1141 I did that’s why I said ok then

Costs 5x too much
Ok then
I mean it’s louder cause those are new strings…😂
300 dollars
No
Absolutely not
@@2Yardsand yet you waste time watching a video exclusively about a bigsby
Absolutely yes 😂
