There is a Bisgby you can buy that you do not even need that adapter plate for. But that 335 now has 4 holes in it at the rear strap button location, which is fine if you plan on never taking it off, but if you do change your mind, well too darn bad lol. Me, I would just use the one hole where the strap button goes through and mounts it and not use those screws until after I was POSITIVE I wanted to keep the Bigsby on. I have a gretsch with one on it and it does nothing for me but I don't use a wiggle stick anyway. I did put a trapezoid bridge on my 335 style Peavey and I love it. You can just press down on the strings with your hand if you want to get a Vibrato type of effect, like Ted Nugent does on his Byrdlands. Also with the trapezoid I can just do one string where as a regular wiggle stick setup it's all or nothing. I did have to put 4 screws in by the strap button but I did wait until I was sure I was going to like it lol.
Hey man im curious..how much you payed for your 335? I just bought a brand new 335 but from 2011, has never been used and kept in a case with a humidifier.
Quick note about tremolo vs vibrato: all whammy bars are vibrato bars. Vibrato is a variation in pitch, tremolo is a variation in volume Edit: didn’t mean to say speed.
A variation in speed would be the same as pitch modulation, as pitch is the speed of the vibration i.e. the frequency of the note? Actually, Tremolos produce a modulation in volume. One rather clumsy way to produce a tremolo effect would be to rapidly open and close your volume pot.
I was literally just thinking that! Whenever I do anything with screws on a machine or instrument, I dont wanna damage that perfect smoothe shiny screw.
Nope, that hurt me too. I wouldn't dare risk damaging the fine threads on one of those bolts. Though, to be fair, he most likely has several spares available if something happened to one.
if anyone reading this comment is confused, heres what tremolo and vibrato mean: tremolo - an oscillation in volume (how loud/quiet something is) vibrato - an oscillation in pitch (how high/low something is)

I put a slight dent in the finish when I put the wrong screw in at first, but it's under the Vibramate, so you can't see it. I will say you missed a good opportunity to switch to roller saddles.
Vibrato is an effect that occurs when the value of the frequency is changed in rapid succession. Tremolo does not change frequency in rapid succession, but instead changes the tone's amplitude rapidly. Congrats on the bigsby. Looking forward to hearing it on your new album...
I just installed a Bigsby B7 on my Epiphone Les Paul using the vibramate. Piece of cake, and sounds great! I also installed a Schaller roller bridge to mitigate the tuning instability issues inherent with using a vibrato bar. Very pleased with the results. Thank God for the vibramate. Just be aware buddy that those Vibramates DO damage the finish - where the felt pads connect they will eat away/dull the finish. I had one on an SG for about 4 years and there are three very noticeable marks where the pads sat.
I was thinking that leather pads would probably provide better protection than felt. But, in either case, there will likely be some damage to the finish over time.
And ... did you see those 4 screws he had to put in by the rear strap button? You can't undo that once it's done!! I put a trapezoid bridge on my 335 style Peavey but I waited until I was positive I wanted to stick with that before I installed the 4 screws necessary for that. Just to add another comment, I got the Vibramate V7 G series and Bigsby B7 for my Gibson es 335 studio. I have found out that the studio is quarter of an inch shorter than the Standard Gibson es 335 and quarter of an inch longer than the Epiphone es 335; which uses the Vibramate V 7 E series. @@niclastname LOL true!
Im watching this again. Thats how satisfying the process is. Wish I had a jazz guitar to install bixby on
It honestly bothers me how tacky that "custom made" sticker is, but to each their own I guess...
Kokosnoot Mannetje it’s not my thing either- I think it ruins the look of a beautiful guitar!
could take like 3 days and have a custom made music is win sticker made, or one that says gibson, if you really need to cover up the hardware.
Kokosnoot Mannetje I never got one, thank god
I need that song playing during the installation process. That was so cool sounding.

The most beautiful guitar, I gotta say!
i have a bigsby with a vibramate on mi epi les paul, where the bigsby covers the vibramate, but here I would say the vibramate looks kinda scuffed.
This is so cool
As a contractor, and guitar guy, much props for having a Dewalt drill.
I died inside when he dropped the post into the body
Hi Tyler I think I have learnt more things from your channel than my school in Australia keep it up from Harry
Kids drop picks in acoustics, legends drop nail in f hole of guitar
0:36 luckily a mosquito didn't bite you..
The guitar bridge assembly is a vibrato bar. Vibrato is a modulation effect that varies pitch, while tremolo is modulation effect created by varying the amplitude or volume, you see that on amplifiers.
PRS strings on a Gibson.
Oh, Tyler, why.
Strings are strings.
^^^ its just pieces of metal. Doesn’t matter
To be honest Tyler, you really keep surprising me as for your guitar skills and style, really marvelous ☺️🤩
I’ll give you a cookie if you upload everyday 😝
That’s probably one of the most beautiful guitars I’ve ever seen
Bigsby is perfect for a Rickenbacker or a Telecaster!
Looks really cool. Big risk opening a pack of small sharp metal bits right above the guitar. Balls of steel!
ThT scared me when u wented to drill it
Great mod - did this same job 6 months ago, couldn't be happier!
who else wigged out when he was fumbling with hardware over his axe? easiest way to put big dings in it
Well, that’s not his normal go-to axe, it’s usually the PRS LP style one, so he might not have been too worried, but if I had that beauty I’d sure as hell be terrified
Man that guitar is a thing of beauty. Even more so with the bigsby 😍👌
i was planning to buy a bigsby but it's more expensive than my guitar lol
Yeah man, actually it's originally about 170 dollars, but I bought it during an annual sale so I just spent half the price, about 85 USD.
Not gonna lie... I cringed hard when you took those pliers to the threads of that one one bolt and then dropped it over the top of your guitar. Please tell me that was tongue in cheek like the "cleaning" segment?
Tyler! I was on instagram when I saw your add for this video. I had a bigger reaction watching this than when my mom started choking at dinner last night.
...and the 335 was never in tune ever again
Just to add another comment, I got the Vibramate V7 G series and Bigsby B7 for my Gibson es 335 studio. I have found out that the studio is quarter of an inch shorter than the Standard Gibson es 335 and quarter of an inch longer than the Epiphone es 335; which uses the Vibramate V 7 E series. Luckily enough Vibramate are aware of differences and provide spacers of different sizes to fill any gap between the Bigsby and the guitar.
First!
(in france)
Louis Gérard bonjour!
I am more into metal stuff and guitara but this piece is just gorgeous looking guitar omfg. Love the colors and how melancholic ir sounds.
Actually all tremolo systems are vibrato.
I used the Vibramate String Spoiler on my Bigsby with great results. They make cool stuff! 🤓🎸😜
"Custom Made" looks off-putting
5:53 Really cool sentence there!
seeing tyler without a prs is disturbing to say the least
And here I thought it was kind of refreshing...
Totally Awesome. The Bigsby really brought out the beauty of the guitar. Awesome Video - quick & simple 😊
6:30 + what a tone 😯 amazing guitar, i’m always impressed about ur gear and playing. Thanks!
Dusembourg Les trem 2 is my way to go and takes two mins to install.Fabulous!
