My favourite thing about this album is rap god Wendy which actually causes a knock on affect where Seulgi & joy get more of the adlibs and vocal runs in the bsides. For me this album was so much fun to listen to.
I love your reactions. This whole album is a bop, and everyone showed out. My bias Joy really delivered. I'm happy. They said they put the songs in this order for a reason. It feels like three parts of a workout: warmup, workout, and cool down.
Youre right about that, it is called triple metre. I can see why some people dont dig this album, its not catchy enough but instead they have some interesting vocal style and mixing red and velvet concept. And they switch wendy to rap while Joy adlibs SHINE in this album. Love that
I actually LOVE stripped back instrumentals. Like I think kpop actually relies too heavily on making every part explosive when there's really good dynamics and tension in making things quiet. You can build on it. Kpop doesn't use enough of it imo lol. Makes things so so so interesting melodically.

I'm a trombone player (or have been in the past, it's been a while) but yessss whenever I can hear actual instruments, I get super excited with any features, that sax feature was just great! Again with the BASSS in Bamboleo and Good, Bad, Ugly - that is a bassist just killing it and I love it so much. And yessss, triple meter - love it. Gives you that sort of waltzing feeling. I love when ya'll get excited about someone doing so well at their part, like Joy.
