This entire album is just a flex, and just pure Red Velvet. In My Dreams is my fave b-side of the year so far, almost favorite just in general. And they apparently have multiple albums to release this year....
I love this damn song. I had this and another song on repeat at work the other day for, like, 6 hours straight. Not exaggerating. It's not even the lyrics. The music production alone is fire, everything beyond that is icing on the cake. I can't handle the vocals either. They are unnecessary in the best possible way. Fucking Wendy's rap. Lord. That cracked me up the first time I heard it, not going to lie. Wasn't ready for that. 😂 Honestly, some of this album, in regards to who does which parts, really makes me think they are like, "We're going on 8 years. Fuck it. Let's do some weird shit."
So...Joy...let's talk about her. I started using IG more since December so she's been apparent since then. She's been slowly tearing me down. 😂 It's not even a bias thing at this point. Wendy is my bias, Seulgi is my wrecker, and Joy is the Destroyer of Worlds. Then all of the album promotions and FMR MV dropped. Dead. Completely dead from that. Some of her lines and moments in the mini-album are lethal. After all of that, Wildside drops? I can't, man. I just can't. Please send help. 😂
I feel this on so many levels! Like Red Velvet dropped a FULL VOCAL FLEX album where they all used different vocal techniques bringing the smoothest and most hypnotic harmonies I’ve ever heard! Seulgi is my bias (and Irene is my bias wrecker) but Joy’s verse on this track blew me away! This song was my favorite by far, but the whole album was just INSANE. ISTG I will never understand how Red Velvet isn’t charting like crazy, because their vocals, harmonies and production are EVERYTHING! Beg For Me had me on the floor and Wildside, I still haven’t recovered. 2 Red Velvet albums back? Sorry, but nobody is saving either of us. #StanRedVelvet
