I just found your channel I have been going through all the Daihatsu videos, its a bit refreshing like watching old wheeler dealers or something! Keep up the good work. Personally I never really can stand how aftermarket steering wheels don't fit the look in the interior, they don't match. Its kind sad only a few videos to go and I won't have anymore to watch, and will have to wait for a new one.
Aha, interesting! I thought some other manufacturers might use the same spec shaft, but it seemed easiest to stick with a Daihatsu one. If I have any issues with it, I might try the Starlet one.
Sir can you please tell me what do those buttons do which are at the right side of the steering because in my car that place is vacant so if you could please guide me Actually I wanted to know how many possible additional features we can install in an Daihatsu Coure.
There's the controls for the electric mirrors, heated rear window, front fog lights (though these UK cars do not have the lights fitted) and rear fog light (added to comply with UK law).
Wasn't my first choice, I admit, but I'm not a small guy, and I need the smaller wheel to make it easier to fit in the car! I kept the original though. Surprisingly, it DOES have power steering (the Cappuccino doesn't). I think it's actually a speed-sensitive setup in terms of assistance levels.
Nope. Genuine UK car. They just put a sticker over the logo on the gauge and recalibrated it, that was the conversion so it reads in mph. As with the rear lights, they weren't exactly throwing money around doing it, but it's the real thing from Daihatsu UK.

Can you tell me if you remember what code you bought this steering Hub?Is it D-7?
When faced with adversity, 3D print it!
In malaysia we keep the original steering for L2/L5 dashboard.

Can I know the steering adapter code ?
Hai. Is it possible to open the steering column cover without removing the steering weheel?
I think you should be able to, yes, it's a while since I did the job, so it's not fresh in my memory.
Does it fit Daihatsu Sirion M100?
how you install RPM can you define?
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
Yuck. I think the original one is better. Does this car have power steering?
