  • The window is your immediate connection to Su-Urja or good energy. It is the source of daylight, it is the source of fresh air and the breeze when the air outside is pleasant. It is your connection to the sky, and, if you are lucky, to the view of the world outside. Windows are a variable device something you can adjust according to the season and the time of day. They need to be of good design and carefully constructed.
Therefore in this episode we will talk about two important aspects, firstly how to moderate the sunlight or Surya coming in to your room and secondly what material or prithvi should one use to construct these windows.
Ashok B Lall is one of the foremost green architects in the country. He is the Principal of Ashok B. Lall Architects in New Delhi, India. He has practiced sustainable architecture for over 3 decades.

Id like to send positive Vibes towards the creator of this channel. I am not a technically knowledgeable person when it comes to home construction. My wife and i are currently in the home construction process though and we'd like to improve on ventilation concerns we had in our previous house. I found that the depth of discussion the channel went into helped simmer the principles i needed to learn. Love and thanks sir. Keep it up!

Im not architect but an observer I totally agree with your opinions
    You are absolutely correct
Unfortunately this all is not considered while planning a house atleast I have not seen anybody taking all this into consideration
Windows are source of heat light energy and visual comfort and seasonal treats like breeze and rain
So window is everything to a house
Thank you for sharing such useful information

A few months ago, I hung sheer curtains outside some of my windows. The light is pleasantly diffused, and less heat enters directly.

One more technic is to put bubble plastic sheet (stick with water) to inner side of outer window glass. It will allow the natural light but will stop the out side temperature to enter

    Super innovative information. ✅👍
I have got large size Double Glass windows 🪟 made from Thermo Aluminum frame 🖼.
Street side is Sunrise 🌄 and house side is Sunset 🌅
So, i will definitely install some installation outside of windows in the Summer.

A good effort in the right direction. But like others have said, would have been even better if the video was only 3-4 min long. Thank you Mr. Lall and DTE for your eco friendly efforts:)

Yes, Cut the script into half. It is too long. No one has the patience for watching the whole to know about the solution., whereas the message was quite simple that "put some shades outside the windows". Next time make it crisp and short. Also the music was dominating Mr. Lall's voice. Anyways, I appreciate the good effort and good motive behind it.

My village house was built in 1960 by grandfather. My room had two windows and roshandaan. There was brick flooring. It was so cool then.

If it was not for the air purifiers that display the AIQ, we would have forever thought that this guy is making sense. Given how polluted our cities are, the last thing you want to do is open the window. This guy is all faff(hot air) and no substance. #india #urbanliving

It is just basic science and you are calling it New Vastu. Because you know very well that developed countries don't follow any thing without science or logic ( as Vastu ,which is mostly provides ideas without reason).
