You show me anyone who says they don’t make mistakes and I’ll show you a liar! Great content, love it. 👍🏽
Thank you!! Would rather just be real, thank you for watching buddy 👍👍
all been there , i do the old tape trick .
Real life stuff! Love it, when I drill through joists blind with a long drill bit I tend to hit water pipes on the other side 😂
Thank you!! Yes I have also done this in the past 😂😂
Excellent video! Great to see you fill that access hole above the cupboard. Many wouldn't have bothered. Keep up the good work. x
Thank you 👍👍
You have proved the point of when things go wrong keep CALM. The problem or problems will be solved with a cool head 😊😊😊
Exactly!! Thanks for watching 👍👍
Lovely video thanks. Clearly much work done in editing, so appreciate the effort. Great to see the way the work was done, loved that aspect. At 19:35 you comment on a lamp not on, then on. I giggled as it was seen on and off for the last bit of the video, clearly something amiss that you would obviously have noticed after filming. Keep it up! I hope we get to see the final product of your 'Blackpool Illuminations'.
Thank you!! Appreciate your comments, yes so the light was always on but through the camera it wasn’t illuminated, il do more investigating into LEDS and cameras, more videos coming up on this job, thanks again sir 👍👍
That hook is for sliding it over suspended ceilings and the plastic edges are so you can roll it to the side if you have any obstructions.
Really enjoying all ur videos mate, keep up the good work ❤
Brilliant thank you!! I had no idea what the red bits were for so thanks again!! 👍👍
Don’t think there an electrician out there who has not mark out wrong🤣🤣🤣 I become quite good a filling holes!!, still living in the past , still use MT 1 and MT2 for fishing , great video , also how many time does the builder build out wall and not tell you!
Flipping Eck!! An electrician who repairs his whoopies LOL
Next you will be showing us you picking up all your cable offcuts where you terminated your switches/sockets 🤣
Carpenter & Joiner here BTW 😉
Hello mate thanks for watching!! 👍👍
Just playing catch up on your videos Adam. Love this one. I reckon I've lost a few bits in ceiling joists. Arggh! The angled chuck is a great idea. I looked at a few yesterday. I do need to get one, as I'm fed up of cutting more holes. Great video
Thank you sir!!
Best video you have ever done the edit is killer!!
Thank you!!!
We have just had a loft conversion, and the guys boarding the space used a laser level that 'looped' around the room. As they figured out where the cables for the downlight were going they added tape and marker crosses on the floor, directly beneath the downlight position and the cables. All the sparky has to do (before the flooring goes down) is line up his laser level to the marks on the floor and transfer the crosses back onto the plastered ceiling. Said it made his job a breeze and was going to do the same going forward.
Amazing great tip 👍👍
In oz..,We use locators ( bosch to find cable … or a mastec toner ( a bit quicker and it doesn’t mind live cables) .. the ferret is handy ( just a bit large and easy to lose..
I do have a Bosch locator but I prefer the stud buddies as they just work and don’t take up any space in my tool bag, thanks for watching 👍👍
When I do this type of job I take as many pictures with my phone as I can so that i can look back after it is boarded just in case I have the same scenario as you have had.
I had plenty of photos but I just made mistakes 😂 real life stuff that’s what I want to show
Versadrills ( up to 2m and are flexible drills makes ice easy ( they have a hoe in the iend off the bit to pull cables as well…
Il have a look into this thank you 👍👍
Mate I could never work on my own ..67 and always have an offsider…mate you seem like one of the good tradies..@@sotaelectrical
@@alphamegansw thank you so much, I do my absolute best 👍👍

I used this a few times ( they are a bit slippery in the chuck and can break when blunt …but saved time and effort ,, newer brands ( oz eagles etc ) can be cheaper and better …scanner in walls have been useful..all the best
Something similar happened on a site I was working on I had 6 houses boarded and plastered and painted with all the downlight cables completely hidden. No problem though I just told the site manager that we could destroy the ceiling or he could get the plasterers back. He came up with plan B he had the joiners RIP up the bedroom chipboard floors in the 6 houses that way I could find the cables and complete my work and the joiners refitted new floors in the bedrooms. I asked him why he didn't get the plasterers back his answered he had told them to return to site but they wouldn't return unfortunately for their boss he hadn't been paid for the plasterers work so the manager just counter charged them 2k per house and I counter charged them £500.00 per house. If the boarders cover your cable just inform the customer and let them sort it out or just but big holes in the ceiling near to your light position find your cable fit your light and let the customer get the plasterers back to sort the damage.
Your situation sounds far worse than mine, this is my mates house so no builders really involved on that scale, so just had to get on with it
Nice recovery. we all make mistakes, thats why they put rubbers on pencils.
Thank you sir and exactly!
Very good video thanks for all the info 👍🏻
Thank you and thank you for watching!! 👍👍
Think the switching arrangement could have been better.
Try separating ambient, task and functional lighting rather than a switch for every individual thing.
Like all the leds could have been linked on one switch 8 switches will become a nuisance for the client quickly
So the client specified that they wanted the LED’s switched separately and that is why they are on two switches rather than one. Where have you got 8 switches from??
Nice vid and well done
Thank you 👍👍
Hi what layout templates do you use in notability please as looking for same template and cant find it
Hi mate I just use a blank sheet and not a template,
What’s the app with your measurements on it
It’s called notability mate 👍👍
great video would love to have seen the grid switch and how you did that maybe next time
I did film the grid switch but I was concerned it was boring so cut it out 😮 il make sure I leave it in next time, thanks for watching 👍👍
