  • I decided to "upgrade" my Delkevic 13-inch pipes with Delkevic 18" pipes. Mostly because it's a little noisy for the wife when we travel together. Otherwise, I LOVED the 13" pipes. The 18" do match the length of side bags better too.

I installed a set of the 18” Delkevics last year on my 06 and ran into the same issue with head pipe clamps being to small. I reached out to them and they sent the correct clamps promptly. Like the sound and I still run the baffles.

Hello and thank you for watching 🙋‍♂️. I thought I was doing something wrong, then realized that they are just the wrong clamps. I'm glad that you were able to get the correct clamps. I'm going to contact them too. I just got back from a long motorbike road trip thru Canada. I sure to like the 18" more than the 13". I left the baffles in too and really like the tone. the 18" oval del's used to come with the shorty baffles. If you wish, you can replace the with the newer long style baffles,,, which are a couple of db quieter. I did this after losing one of my original shorty baffles,, and I prefer it. Might not be worth the cost to someone who still has both originals though. I got it for only $0.99 cents... I went on Amazon and I found it but I like this one better for $10 cuz of the carbon fiber look. Meanwhile I'll see if I can find the side padding for you. @@MightyMouzMoto , the 09 is a great year. However, I've seen and touched the police bikes and I'm not a big fan because of the modification to the rear seat area.
