Honda ST-1300, how to insulate exhaust header pipe

First, I will have to uninstall the fairing all the way, and then I will insulate the exhaust pipe with exhaust wrap.

Those pipes act as heat sinks for the engine. Wrapping them is a bad idea.

Did it work to reduce heat to the rider?

Yes, I will say it helped, but it is not so warm out here in Denmark at the moment, so it is hard to say, I will have a more qualified opinion in 1 month or more when the outside temperature is higher. I will get back when I try it again on a warmer day.

Hi Bruno Polewski. @@TheSudburyboy I traveled to the Czech Republic on my ST (Approx. 900 km) in the middle of July and I must say that it has helped in reducing the heat from the exhaust. (temperature was approx. 30 degrees)
