Great value and such a simple car. Most of the 5 speeds are sold before they land in the dealerships hands. The last of an era for 2025 and will be discontinued. Mine will be here in two months and so very excited. Nice video and thanks for convincing me.
I got one just like this, except I put an aftermarket armrest in it. I just had Krown rust protection applied on Monday morning - before salt season here in Michigan. I'm loving it so far, just over 3000 miles so far, with one 1200 mile road trip under it's belt. 44.2 MPG average so far. I also have the electric blue. I'm planning on this being my daily driver for 10 years or more - simple engine, tried and true transmission. Diligent maintenance will pretty much assure a long life.
I always thought the 5 speed was the way to go and now we get a recall from Nissan for engine losing power if you use the clutch in an aggressive manner, plus if you want a used one, be prepared to pay way more than they're worth.
How much OTD? I'm still driving an 04 Camry and planning to get a brand new car. I don't earn a lot in a year and just looking for a car below 25k. Versa MT at $18k is very appealing for the price, I don't mind the manual transmission I can live with it. But I'm also thinking of spending a bit more to get a base Corolla hybrid for 5k more.
I love the color! My first new vehicle was a 1990 Nissan Hardbody base truck, it was the best purchase I ever made! Lol, I sold it 20 years later still running for 300 dollars with 450 thousand miles on it! I loved the stick shift in that little truck.
You didn't say the price but at least you opted for the manual transmission. Nissan makes the worst tranny around especially the CVTs. You should be ok. At least you got out of the death trap Mitsubishi. 😊
@mikemullikin8229 I got it for about 17.5 I had a trade in (the mitsubishi) and in Washington when you trade a car in you pay very little tax on a new purchase. Yeah the mitsubishi was scary at points but I drove it all over the county and survived just lived in the slow lane.

Congrats on the Versa! I've made a bunch of videos about the current gen Versa manual if you're interested.

Nice car!
Great video
Smart move to get the manual over the CVT.

I mean as long as they fix it under the recall it still makes sense to get the manual for long term usage. What model years are they recalling?

I paid about 17500 + tax got 1000 off at my dealer for being in school and a military vet
It was about $400 in tax because in Washington state you pay less tax if you trade in a car.
I think this looks like a great car, but I would go with the Corolla. Much less depreciation and will probably last a whole lot longer.
Didn't know Nissan was producing manual commuter vehicles
They do only on a base model versa and there a little hard to find I had to special order this one and waited almost a month to actually get it.
