Bro I love Kenneth Copela- I mean father Mozgus literally the 2nd best villain in the manga. Bro is the absolute worst person someone of religion can be. Also not to spoil he gets insanely hype by the end
LMAO the Kenneth Copeland comparison is so funny to me, but you're spot on, he loves being an Inquisitor and acting as some kind of agent of "God". Love that Peepaw is at the Tower of Conviction arc finally, he's gonna have so much to say about the Egg of the World once him and his daughter put their heads together to make sense of, admittedly, one of the most confusing climaxes in the manga.
@Stuck_In_Liminality really? See I found the astral leaking into the material plane pretty straightforward, but the egg of the world I was just like "wtf why is the apostle shaped like a behelit" lmao
1:43 i felt she had the upmost trust to her faith.. but what she sees is conflicting with her belief, and internalized it as “for the greater good”. But this excuse does not ease her displeasure, so she start to blame the victims.. I love this arc.. and love the references of this arc in Souls series
When you have been brainwashed since you are conscious, it is not so easy to recognise that there is something wrong because it is so rooted in the core of your thought process
100% with Pops, Mozgus is a great villain because you just hate him so much; the worst of humanity on display. Also Luca is the MVP of this whole arc IMO
@@tylercoon1791 Yeah, still spoiling things for her at least, and other people who might not know the series, a very small number to be sure, but still.
I love how analytical this man is. He has really good insight for what the writer is trying to convey. Even though some of his predictions are a little off a few have been spot on I love seeing berserk through someone else’s eyes especially if they have no idea what happens.
Your dad's reactions are so genuine it's a breath of fresh air on the web. xD I knew this arc would be tough for him but the storytelling keeps getting better so please persevere, I'm sure he will appreciate the journey. Keep up the great work wholesome dad and Crystal. \(^o^)
crazy part about mozgus is that hes beyond evil but hes fully human, just shows how evil man can be and also shows that griffith was a evil human long before he became a god hand
Not to spoil anything, but at the end of this arc there is a line from Luca that resonates very much with what he said about true faith displacing fear. He's on point with that one I think.
The Easter island man knows what he’s doing knows it’s wrong and gets off on the suffering, he doesn’t think he’s doing any of this for God but god, who he sees himself as,so yea he’s true evil by doing those atrocities and still have that fake pious smile
Please someone tell this cool guy that this arc is partially inspired by The Name of the Rose. I have a feeling he has seen it / read it. Maybe will help get a better understanding of the arc. Can't wait to see his reaction to the end of the arc.
Not being able to interpret Farnese's reactions positively is so funny to me Once he decides he dislikes a character, he becomes their #1 hater, absolutely committed, whole head in the game and no room for doubt
I hope Gramps read this: SquareHead's stories about the nun and others seems stupid and pointless, like a vane preaching. They are more than that. They are almost pivotal for the plot, they are the backstories of each member of the God's Hand.
I feel like first impressions are extremely important to him. It took the Eclipse for him to see Griffith as anything less than a friend, but Farnese, even when she has very little actual power seems almost irredeemable. I am curious to see if his real worldview shifts in the future with how the story goes.
Do yall think after the Berserk series is finished, both of you could do a read and review of 'Vagabond'? Im sure im not the only one who would really appreciate your dads insightful thinking on how deep the material is in Vagabond. I really think yall would enjoy it!!
I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it yet if you look at the brand of sacrifice symbol and compare it to the holy sees symbol well ill leave that to you
This was by far the hardest arc for me to read. Out of all the arcs in Berserk, it was my least favorite. That being said, I am excited to see his take on what is to come.
Not a single critic on the Catholic Church which this arc is based on, I’m Christian myself but this is just a reflection of the evil deeds made in the name of christianity by the wicked church of the past.

@arthriticpterodactyl I would say the end of the falcon arc was more confusing. Though it has the best art in the entire series
