I'm asian american. One time someone called me oriental because they thought it was proper. I laughed and didn't even correct them as I knew there intention but my more liberal friend at the time was pissed. Told me I should be mad as well as it wasn't the correct word. Shit is wild how I was being gas lit into being more "woke" for my own good. I was being talked down to like I did not know.
If i were you I would prefer "Oriental", it sounds dignified, and east asians are a unique and related grouping deserving their own moniker to distinguish them from SE Asians and Indians/Pakistanis that are commonly called "Asian" in UK
@terryd4373 Honestly, as an Asian American also, I would not want to be called "oriental." It's trying too hard to make it sound "exotic." Like the "other" world. The "mysterious land unlike the west." Edit: I'm genuinely surprised with the amount of pushback I am getting. Do people think I'm actually offended? I agree, Oriental isn't something to get offended over. It's not derogatory. It's so stupid it's funny. May I remind you that even OP laughed when someone called him "oriental." I'm just elaborating why, like OP, am laughing that someone thinks it's "proper." Maybe OP and I have different reasons for why it's funny. Maybe you are from an older generation and actually think it's "proper." I'm just explaining why I think it's funny. And if you disagree, that's fine. Many Latinos have to live with some people calling them Latinx. I can live with some people calling me oriental. But I'll still be laughing.
@ so if I remember right I actually do not even think I knew the difference at the time. I had to be educated on the difference on why I should be offended.

The electoral college is actually brilliant. It makes it so the people in the country and suburbs aren't ruled over by the populations in the big cities. If we went to a popular vote the country would be forever blue and president's would only campaign in the cities.
No country goes solely by popular vote anyhow. For example in Canada, it's the party with the most seats/districts that selects the PM. The electoral college is simply a way to have a similar system but for the President. Only difference is that there is no seat for winning an EC region. No one in their right mind would use popular vote.
Yeah, Bill makes it seem like in other western countries it’s decided by popular vote. If I’m not mistaken a lot of them are even worse than ours here. Like I’m talking in the 30 percentage range of the popular vote ends up getting the majority of representation and the PM/equivalent
@alienrenders canada has one of the worst of them all, popular vote would litterally be better than the abortion of a system, Greater Toronto Area holds about 1/6th the electoral vote of the entire country, they base seats on population and add more and more seats to populated areas while rural areas don't get more. The east coast has a very high seat to population ratio but there are no jobs and they take handouts from the rest of the country so almost always vote liberal.

Yeah... but unfortunately, a large part of US economy is based on... "wars". Military contractors, part of heavy industry, military paying for education, and a lot more. Whole chains of dependencies. Stock market prices included, as after all - the constant growth is needed, and stock markt price of military contractors (and various corporations connected with them) must grow. The above is oversimplification without mentioning goepolitics and so on, but there is no question that a large part of US economy i based on military spending. And for that... you need "war", or at least a constant threat of some enemy, and it doesn't matter how far that threat is. In that kind of economy - wars (or some local conflicts where US can help its allies) are actually needed. But in overall, I agree with you - it is just not gonna happen. It is not just about groceries, and borders as this is just a surface of deeper issues. Try make something like a healtcare "free" for citizens (including something like 6 months of full pay maternity leave, or full pay sick leave - even if it is for 2-3 weeks), like in most of the countries on the planet. I'm not American. I saw clips of Harris lying and pandering to populism. And the funny part? That was the first time I ever saw those clips. AFTER the election. Before that all I ever saw about the election when it came to "things X candidate said" and video clips, was "Trump bad, Harris good". And those clips of Harris lying and pandering really opened my eyes to the fact that while Trump was painted as this lying piece of shit, Harris was barely any better. She too tried to heavily lean into the voters' emotions. She too lied. She too had trouble debating properly when she couldn't use premade answers. I still believe Trump was the worse candidate. But I can also fully understand why so many people voted for Trump now. At least he was fairly blatant with his lies. And at least he made the American people FEEL like they were being heard. Opposed to Harris who was more subtle with her lies and made a lot of/most American people feel they were being ignored in favor of "woke" ideology.

Try to consider if the minority, in this election the Democrat, should not have a voice. National elections would be focused on cities and their issues, and not all cities. Just the New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago voters would be considered.

Yea wanting a secure border and afford groceries sure is stupid ain't it. I guess wanting the united states to focus on the problems here instead of wars that have nothing to do with us is also dumb right?
Yeah... but unfortunately, a large part of US economy is based on...
Tulsi gabbard.. and she called them out on the bullsh!t they've said about her, and how undemocratic it was.
The tension was thicker than lizzo..
They had Rand Paul on once in 2019. Never invited him back because he mopped the floor with those cackling hens.
Kurt Russell and Trump
thanks for covering this.
I saw a dad with his wife and young baby in the store days before the election with a couple small bags of groceries and he sighs to himself "how did we spend $130 on groceries". Walmart Americans. Great phrase.
People will choose common sense over social politics every time
....unless theyre a lib
I don’t believe that when you look at the last few elections.
i hope so
That's what i've saying. Take the democratic party back to like 2010 levels and i would be a dem again. Even then, it was a little crazy, just not this level of crazy.
@markdsm-5157 id personally go back to the Bill Clinton era which is what Trump is essentially doing.
18:47 Bro never came back... ☹
Yeah i'm still waiting
I thought the same when it ended😂
Ty to the schools i went to in Michigan and to all my teachers who instilled critical thinking skills, teaching us to be open minded, and to think outside the box starting in elementary school
Greenville Michigan public school teachers in the 80's-90's were some of the best.
Bring those type of educators back
I live in Portland and visited Austin to see what the comparisons were about. No, Austin is not far-left or overcrowded with homeless. Please come see Portland in 2024 it's a zombie apocalypse.
And yet Multnomah county (Portland), is literally the only inner city county in the country to swing left from 2020….
@relaxedleisure4766 anybody normal has fled to the suburbs in Washington or Clackamas county. We've basically ceeded our city to leftist transplants.
@@relaxedleisure4766ngl the only way i can explain this anymore is actual brainrot.
its so ingrained in people to never adress anything that they actually believe more leftwing restartation would fix things.
more money pumped into NGOs and drugs instead of actual education and jobs, but in a voting booth option 1 sounds much comfier.
Bro, calling Trump extreme? No he's just rude! Steve Bannon called him a moderate, and not even close to hardline! He was a NY Democrat, did we forget?
He's centre to centre right...
Democrats and Republicans have both been moving left for decades. It's just a matter of how far, and on what issues.
But of course I'm speaking generally, does not apply to every last citizen.
He told his VP to overturn an elect ion which is not Constitutional
@randomhuman2595 No, he didn't, he simply said he wanted him to not certify it. Since those sudden 13 million votes appeared out of nowhere, and disappeared this election
Oh no, "Mean Tweets"...... imma vote for the senile old guy who promptly reverses, in the 1st week, everything the other guy did to make an economic situation that had the lowest unemployment rates for young black males in modern history. I mention that because it's usually the highest, not the lowest. THAT is why he got record black male numbers.
God I love the phrase "gooning and hating" so much
I hope it becomes a known internet term
the second he said "they dont have a monopoly on stupid" the crowd went real quiet
Still dont understand how people think not having an electoral college is a better system. It can definitely be improved but if it didn't exist we'd live in a majority vote system. And our voting system was mad specifically to avoid that.
It's because they have no knowledge of history or political science, and direct democracy sounds the most fair to them. That automatically translates to "best" in their minds.
There were 13 states when that system was made
Yeah, the electoral college is a check and balance against the pitfalls of direct democracy. It's not a bad system. I feel like most of the people who bring up "the popular vote" have never even read a wiki on why the electoral college is set up the way it is.
@@sleep8646 So? The point of the electoral college is to avoid the tyranny of the majority, keeping 4 cities from determining the fate of the entire country... The founders saw how that led to a monarchy/kingdom, the exact thing they fought to escape. Doesnt matter how many states there are
@sleep8646 and they didn't want a few states ruling over the rest.
Didn't meet a single mexican dude who didn't hate mexico/ South america, when I was in the marines
Some Asmon takes are just weird. Like when he said Kamala didn't focused her campaign on being a Woman and Black. Wtf did Asmon saw xD
He is right, she was looking Indian, acting black and many regional black, but on many shows she said she was Indian, and if you put her compilations of interviews together, anyone can see there is more integrity in a turnip...
Don’t forget Asmon have money, he doesn’t understand everyone suffering anymore.
@@JorgeRodriguez-vw3on he said netflix ad free price at the top tier was fair.............i would also say that if i was as rich as asmon and didn't notice it coming out the bank
@@chooseyouhandle I have been low key watching everything 2024 race related while working. Still just to showcase what I meant, had to do some digging.
Wasn't that hard to find. Just to name few where she talked about being a woman: NABJ, VCU, NBC News Interview, CBS’s "60 Minutes", Vox, Call Her Daddy.
Just to name few where she talked about being Black: NABJ, CBS's "Face the Nation", NBC News Interview, Politico Interview, Call Her Daddy.
As for speeches/ rallies, here are few where she addressed being a Black Woman:
1 - Ellipse Rally, Washington D.C. (October 29, 2024)
2 - Philadelphia Campaign Rally (October 27, 2024)
3 - South Carolina Rally (2024)
4 - Detroit, Michigan Rally (2024)
5 - Atlanta, Georgia Rally (2024)
6 - Miami, Florida Rally (2024)
Basically thank my autism for this research.
@@MrTeamGuycame with the proof
She said, "Nothing will change." Nothing will be different...
The final take...was a bad take there bro.
She Never spoke on issues in a substantive manner. Her campaign was terrible compared to Hillarys.
She lied alot, was a terrible speaker, and she is just not that good at being a leader. She couldnt keep her staff due to them quitting on her throught her entire time in office, that is a sign of terrible leadership.
Her only real vector of attack on Trump was Abortion...and given the state of our nation right now, that is a very small drop in an ocean to most regular people.
She lost ground in every demographic, and yeah, alot of that is her party.
Like it or not, Trump is a centrist that genuinely came off as being a more relateable and trustworthy candidate, and people like people that keep their promises- we havent gotten that from DC in a LONG time.
It was the economy. People had to watch their budgets hardcore. I make double what a family of four makes in my area and I was watching my food budget like a hawk.
Yup the average HOUSEHOLD in my neighborhood, which is considered a prosperous one, makes 80k a year. I make about 120 without incentives. Now, I'm not struggling, but I FEEL it. And if I feel it, I honestly feel horrible for the average household.

One of the greatest burns in all of internet history
You can't really call Trump supporters stupid when the alternative is Kamala Harris.
If the choice is between the stupid or the insane, I'll take stupid every time.
I mean, I think its pretty stupid to just not vote.
@@christianalanwilson434 Kamala isn't insane, but the people who would have controlled her are. Do you not understand the danger and open border poses to the national security of the US? Terrorists could lead coordinated attacks all across the US and there would have been far more flow into the country with 4 more years of Kamala.
@christianalanwilson434 that's stupid 😂😂😂
I can, and I will. If you think Trump will be good for the finances of the average American, you are in for a VERY rude awakening once his idiotic trade war kicks off. He also has absolutely no intention to do anything about housing costs, because he's a real estate guy and he *loves* the high housing prices.
18:00 lol what policy did she focus on? she did like 3 scripted interviews and said a total of nothing
Exactly
