How did this engine hold up?

WHAT ? I have built possibly a hundred Cummins engines in the 70’s. Never have I seen anyone use gasket cement on a head gasket.
If you have problems your trying to hide, then your still going to have them. Did you check for dropped liners, or cracked head bolt holes in the
block ? Where do you think all that grey primer paint they fogged the valve springs with is going to end up. Sorry for being so critical but this is
    out there.

The block was in pretty bad shape
That's what the owner wanted me to do
He didn't want to pull out the block to rebuilt it

Off course there was no warranty on it either

You shouldn't of touched it them. It could fail and come back to you, prepare to marry that engine.

@Roy Andrade I know what are you saying
And he needed to cut the block but he didn't wanted to do it so I told the customer I'm not gonna give him any warranty so he was ok with it

Hey buddy, you are the first guy that i seen torque the heads right,i did mine the same way and it came out to be 325-330 ft lbs torque and everyone else i talk to tells me its wrong and the torque it the old way which is much lower.i did the 90 degree, marked it and used the torque wrench to double check and it was about 325-330 so i fid them all that way.the main bearing caps also have an updated torque setting that most dont do.great job!

Oil comes from under the first head under load and temperature after 190F. Two weeks ago I changed the gasket and put new bolts, but the problem did not go away. What can happen? Thank You!
