    This video is absolutely amazing the inventory the FDNY has for spare parts and spare equipment in case one at any of their fire houses goes in for repair got a little backup plus trying to work their way through a busy urban city street.

    Fire trucks, garbage trucks, & some boom trucks & box trucks are the only cabover semis I see out on the roads here in the USA nowadays. I remember back in the 1980s, half the semis out on the roads were cabovers & the other half conventional cabs.

    Hi, John, Stu here, hey fyi those older model segraves were replaced by kme's but the newer models like e80 r still using those seagraves just cause they empty doesn't mean they being replaced k. But great video, oh and what is CTDU Bua, and FDNY FIRE/ICE ENGINE COMPANIES?? Thanks again, oh do you have a running list of units with 2015 serial numbers 15001-15005 as 6 & 7 r the new mask service units 1 n 2

    Do you know what is a reserve, and I noticed a CTS ladder, What is that for

      RESERVES ARE USED ONLY WHEN NEEDED.....MERV IS A MEDICAL BUS AND HAZTAC IS A SPECIALIZED EMS UNIT.

      The High Water Rescue were purchased after hurricane Sandy these rigs are used to evacuate people in flooded areas.

    Those newer seagraves like engine 80 and 22 shouldnt be being replaced..most likely out for repairs.

    0:21, 0:23, 0:37, 0:59, 1:01 those buses look like they are school buses/ MTA buses bought before they were scrapped or swelled to another person and then repainted to match the FDNY colors

    half the fire companies in berks county pa could house all those rigs,,, F.D.N.Y reserve and spares fleet could supply a decent sized city with fire apperatus

    Those unit does not look bad at all.... I think NYPD has good found to take those units out of service !!! Perhaps the maintenance vs. investment made the commissioner take the decision. New units cost $100k or more .....

      no the last that went out of service were the ex engine used as foam units
