Fire trucks, garbage trucks, & some boom trucks & box trucks are the only cabover semis I see out on the roads here in the USA nowadays. I remember back in the 1980s, half the semis out on the roads were cabovers & the other half conventional cabs.
I liked em all, and those engines are in good condition, I dont understand why they are replacing them, and I really liked the Interational Terrastar bus.

half the fire companies in berks county pa could house all those rigs,,, F.D.N.Y reserve and spares fleet could supply a decent sized city with fire apperatus
Those unit does not look bad at all.... I think NYPD has good found to take those units out of service !!! Perhaps the maintenance vs. investment made the commissioner take the decision. New units cost $100k or more .....
