im curious, not want to shit on you but I heard a lot of times people saying this. If you're a fan of the Fallout franchise, have you played Fallout 1,2, tactics?
I don't think that playing pre-Bethesda Fallouts is necessary to be a fan of Fallout. There are many Fallout games now and I don't think it's needed to like all of them to be a fan. For me, Fallout is one of my top favorite franchises because of F3, FNV and F4. I tried getting into F1 twice, but didn't make it far.
I think you need to watch a playthrough if you're a fan. Not to say that you're not a fan if you haven't done that, but you will enjoy the experience. A playthrough will let you get past any unfamiliar mechanics and get the story. Oxh0rn did a series on it recently.
Fallout Shelter was a fun game little game that I wasted a few hours on, it's really cool that we get to hear the behind the scenes story of its development. I can't wait for Elder Scrolls: Blades documentary, the game itself looks really interesting and I just know it will be a high quality documentary, as always.

Fallout Shelter truly is a great mobile game. I haven't played it for quite some time anymore, but back when I did, I was checking it multiple times a day. Expanding, upgrading and arranging my vault, collecting resources, doing quests, defending my vault, taking care of and making sure my dwellers were all equipped with the best equipment I could get my hands on. And an even greater thing about it all, was that I spent basically no money doing all of this! Many other mobile games, would have been gouging money right out of my hide, every turn of the way, but not Fallout Shelter. I used real money on it TWICE, during the year that I spent playing, and at no point, did it feel like I was being unfairly held back due my unwillingness to shovel real world money into the game. Even the couple times I did, were during the very last month, that I played the game, and even then, it was simply because I wanted to to try my luck with the lunchboxes and the other time, I wanted to see if I could get some helpful pets for the dwellers. Both with mixed success, Both of those, however, are completely optional, and done without sacrificing the core gameplay or cutting significant content from the game. I can imagine some people would be tempted to use real world money to buy Nuka Cola Quantum, that is used to speed up the quests, training, weapon and armor crafting and so on, but you really don't have to. You can find plenty of Nuka Cola Quantum from quests and, as long as you don't waste it on every little thing, you'll have stockpiles of it. There are wait times in the game, sure, as every mobile game does these days, but in Fallout Shelter, there's usually something else you can be doing, while you wait. Be it simply expanding or upgrading your vault, training your dwellers or defending your vault from raiders or mutant creatures. Also, as a person, who has a stable, 7 - 8 hour work day, five days a week, I can say that the wait times in Fallout Shelter, really worked well with my daily rhythm too. Making it so that these wait times usually finished, just when I woke up in the morning or got off of work. Overall, a very well balanced mobile game. Something that other mobile game creators should look and learn from. I can only hope that, if Bethesda does end up making another mobile game one, they'll do as fine work balancing that, as they did this.

It is ironic for me. I got the platinum, deleted the game, and was ready to move forward to the next thing. So it is ironic ("happening in the opposite way to what is expected") that something would come along that would draw me BACK to the game, while I was otherwise set to move forward from it. "Coincidental" would also work.
Yeah, have to admit. i'm one of those people that played Shelter (on Switch) when I have never touched a Fallout game before. It got me at least a bit interested. But yeah, Shelter was a fun timewaster. Jumped to other "wasters" when I hit that paywall. But it was fun while it lasted. That completion tune is stuck in my head forever as if it's a Pavlov reaction.
There's also the sad story ocurred to behaviour Santiago (formerly Guanaco Games), the studio was shut down right after the release of Fallout Shelter, some members where offered to move to Canada an others had to see their dreams just gone, despite the huge success of the game.
when i discovered that the game was on pc i downloaded it, i don't have a smart phone but i play shelter on my pc just fine and yes i am almost done training and leveling all my dwellers
Ooohh, you guys are still working with Bethesda on a Blades documentary?? If you've still been working with them this whole time, I hope there's another documentary behind 76 in the works. I'd love to be a fly on the wall during that launch, and the subsequent fallout (Pun intended). Thank for your great works!!!
With the games they announced (FO76, Starfield, TES6,), I doubt it. It's merely an expansion of their work as a publisher, since Shelter wasn't even developed by Bethesda Game Studios. I think it's actually positive for their AAA-titles, since the profits from the mobile games can be used for development Budget for the big ones.
The focus on single player games won't stop being a thing. They've expanded to two "external" Bethesda studios - one does mobile things and the other one does multiplayer things. The focus of the home studio is still single player.
if we do this [fallout shelter], everyone wants Fallout 4 we can't do this mobile, but if we do, like, people would be like what are you doing. Blizzard needs to learn from Bathesda.
I get the impression that dropping this doc now means Blades is just around the corner. Like this doc was meant to wet the appetite for the Blades release.
Not a big fan of mobile games. However I do like playing Fallout Shelter. It's a very well made app. It's stable, no ads, payment system is totally optional (good deals too), the game is fun... I had no idea it was so big. Great job.
ABC DEF I think by crowdfunding but I'm not sure. They do need to stay cordial with the publisher or it's gonna be impossible to get to do these with them though, so politics is definitely a thing here. Which sucks cuz I would love to see completely non biased, cutting edge games journalism.
It took me like 3 months to get the platinum on ps4. Because of that damn "collect 20 rare outfits and weapons trophy". Had to make them but it takes days to finish them. well, the people who were interviewed weren't really part of Behaviour anymore, they had since become employed at BGS Montreal. They used to be part of Behaviour.
