I played Skyrim when it came out in 2011,i don't know how you deducted that,from few words i have put in my comment,just because i don't like it so much,it doesn't mean anything,game was good for one play trough,and that's about it,i did all side quests,got all the weapons i like,armors,did all guilds,so yeah i had fun and that was it.
I have been playing it for 5 years pretty consistently. I stopped around 2015 and then bought it on PC and now every month or so I come back to it for a few days and add more mods to it and play through it in different ways. Everytime I play the game I find something new about it I didn't even notice even though I have probably too many hours in it.
STONE COLD Same. I've been playing alot on my PS4. Couldn't believe I finally ended it 2 weeks ago after years of not. I think I had it for either PS3 or 360. But anyway..I am done with all the other triple A games that did nothing for me that released earlier this year except for Dragon Quest 11. Unbelievably Skyrim has me very very open to exploring. Completely 77 missions so far and counting.
If Skyrim is your favorite game of all time then you haven't played any other Elder Scrolls game and haven't played any RPG game at all besides Skyrim.

Get some mods, mate. I have been playing this game for almost 8 years now. Texture mods, animation mods, Location mods, weapons & Armor mods, new quest mods, etc will make your Skyrim re playable for years. 👍
If you had to lock me somewhere for a year and tell me there's only one singleplayer game I could play for that entire duration, I would choose Skyrim.
The funny thing about this statement is that we ended up being locked somewhere for the best part of a year and I basically played Skyrim that whole time.
I really do hope Bethesda rediscover their roots and get back to this type of passion project over cash flow games as a service. Be 2011 Bethesda, not 2019 jealous of Fortnite revenue Bethesda. Make ES6 have the longevity of Skyrim using what made Skyrim great. Single player story. No loot boxes.
They were pressured by Zenimax to make a Fallout mp title before the license ran out. Starfield is looking to be what you described though -- a passion project Todd himself has been dreaming about making since the 90's. It's his baby.
Starfield is kind of okay, it is not trash but not very good either - but it is a disapppintment compared to what I expected. Just an average game. Hopefully TES6 will be better, a passion project and an awesome game of all time
Agree. I had to mod it heavily though with graphics mod to make it modern. Feels like the game was released in 2018. My son was introduced to it for the first time. He is 16. he loves it so far and we both sit down and play it together on my pc.

It was Christmas Day 2012. I opened one of my presents, it was Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim. Me and my brother went upstairs with our gifts. I turned on our Xbox 360, took out Bionic Commando and put Skyrim in. It installed. Once it started...My life changed.
Play Kingdom Come Deliverance lol. It was extremely monotonous back then unfortunately. Adventurers could not exist as towns were small and people didn't trust outsiders since criminals could be exiled. Even visiting a nearby town would cause eyes to look your way.

Just started a new game. Cant believe its been 13 years since my first play through. Ive always been two handed, heavy armor. I going for a stealth archer build and im level 21. So much fun. This game has so much depth its mindblowing. Even being 26, this game is a comfort.

People always joke about how "Skyrim has been released a million times blah blah" and yeah it's a funny meme... but when you actually look at it... there IS a reason this game has been re-released and improved for newer platforms so many times over the years. That doesn't just happen in the industry as a normal practice because reproducing it and adapting it for new consoles costs a lot of money, yet it still sells so well.. because. it's just THAT good of a game.... and because after all these years people STILL download it and play it.
2024 and this is a kind of game I would play around 3-4 months every year, a game I revisit in toughest times or stress, fighting off depressions, just so I can enjoy or chill out in a video game instead of getting stressed out.

Just upgraded it to the series S/X standard ,and doing my 2nd play through as we speak ,nice and easy ,exploring every inch of the map
The special edition (PS5 version especially) does some heavy lifting nowadays compared to the base version like in this video. Environment looks so dull compared to the “new” release. Unironically thankful they kept releasing new versions. Edit: 28:37 played this for the first time in years recently, the moment in bleak falls did indeed stick out to me. The “first” main boss fight in the game. Beautiful stuff, that whole dungeon has graduated from tedious to nostalgic.
I have sympathy for people who weren't able to experience the insane pre-release hype for Skyrim and then the feeling of playing it for the first time in 2011. Even so many years later, it still feels like such a behemoth of a game. There was Skyrim and then GTA V a couple years later, and it seemed like gaming would only get better. But then all we seemed to get was regression. Witcher 3, Breath of the Wild, and Elden Ring are the only games that I can truly say have pushed against the mediocrity but there was never any game that made me feel as hopeful for the future as Skyrim.
I have so much respect for all these people. I was just playing Skyrim and when I checked the time on steam it said that my current session has been going for 440 minutes! Not many games can make me forget real life exists 😆

Some games just grab you and stay with you. Skyrims world and moment to moment is what Bethesda do so well. Story is ok. But exploration and role play is why we love Skyrim. For addictive grinding and gameplay incredible story Final Fantasy 7 and 10 are in my top 5 games of all time. Simply amazing, the story feels all the more relevant to real life than ever, 7 for environmental impact of humans, 10 for the cultural and religious bickering that kills so many people pointlessly. Obviously Fallout 3 and New Vegas are top ten, Fallout 4 is saved by its world and improved gunplay but story is average. I’d put Bioshock in top ten, and moving away from story and sandbox worlds Unreal Tournament 2004 still my all time favourite shooter. The levels, soundtrack, weapons, perfect. Can’t afford pc gaming so played UT 3 on PS3, still have my copy shame servers are off. I still jump back in occasionally. And Gran Turismo blew me away in 1998, it felt real, all the tinkering tuning parts. If the only games series were Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Fallout and Elder Scrolls that would be enough alone with what they offer. After I’ve said all that I’m addicted to Destiny 1, addicted to endless loot grind in the hope of god rolls of all the best weapons. I will return to Destiny 2 first the last expansion but for me Bungie nailed it with Destiny 1 in year 2 when Taken King came out. Back to topic…. I’m worried Bethesda have dropped the ball. F76 is ok now but not amazing. I’ve played a bit of Starfield and if that’s what’s held up ES6 it wasn’t worth it. I know they wanted to make a game in space but it’s unacceptable how long they take. Obsidian were given a strict time limit of 18 months to make NV, hence all the bugs but still arguably the best Fallout game ever. At this rate ES6 will be 18 years since Skyrim. That is inexcusable how can they think it’s not. I was happy with Special Edition it really improved the PlayStation experience no end. I bought the game yet again with Anniversary Edition but come on it’s 2024 where the hell is ES6? Please let Obsidian make Fallout 5. Or at the very least give fans what we want; remastered Fallout 3 and NV. We don’t need a remake, just a polish up for consoles and the chance to go after all the trophies again like we did with Skyrim Special Edition.

Can’t afford pc gaming so played UT 3 on PS3, still have my copy shame servers are off. I still jump back in occasionally. And Gran Turismo blew me away in 1998, it felt real, all the tinkering tuning parts. If the only games series were Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Fallout and Elder Scrolls that would be enough alone with what they offer. After I’ve said all that I’m addicted to Destiny 1, addicted to endless loot grind in the hope of god rolls of all the best weapons. I will return to Destiny 2 first the last expansion but for me Bungie nailed it with Destiny 1 in year 2 when Taken King came out. Back to topic…. I’m worried Bethesda have dropped the ball. F76 is ok now but not amazing. I’ve played a bit of Starfield and if that’s what’s held up ES6 it wasn’t worth it. I know they wanted to make a game in space but it’s unacceptable how long they take. Obsidian were given a strict time limit of 18 months to make NV, hence all the bugs but still arguably the best Fallout game ever. At this rate ES6 will be 18 years since Skyrim. That is inexcusable how can they think it’s not. I was happy with Special Edition it really improved the PlayStation experience no end. I bought the game yet again with Anniversary Edition but come on it’s 2024 where the hell is ES6? Please let Obsidian make Fallout 5. Or at the very least give fans what we want; remastered Fallout 3 and NV. We don’t need a remake, just a polish up for consoles and the chance to go after all the trophies again like we did with Skyrim Special Edition.

Birlzey probably gonna have less features than Skyrim, like how skyrim had less features than Oblivion, and Oblivion less than morrowind.
I’ve played this game ever since it came out and have not seen one loading screen about and elder scroll
Delve don’t worry I did I also did the dawnguard and Dragonborn dlc storyline and still have not seen one elder scroll pop up on a loading screen
yeah there's a scroll that pops up on a loading screen, however it is rare. chalking up why you've never seen it is simply really bad luck.
