Story 3: OP had every right to refuse loaning the trailer. He was right to leave them. They locked him out of his own trailer and had him stuck there overnight, despite him driving them out there as a favor. They are bad friends.
This is total armchair psychology, but I suspect the family members who get mad at “whistleblowers” are neurotypical and seeking to maintain a status quo of familiar hierarchy.
But I could be wrong.
As someone who has experienced it, they are just protecting themselves and their own agendas. Personally, I think that permitting evil whilst turning a blind eye means you are just as evil 🤷♀️ can't help but look at my family and see all the things they LET happen to me because they didn't want to cause a scene 😢
In story 1, i think op cousin should seriously just divorce her creep or a husband instead of whining about Op. It is clear he cheats on her and sexually harassing op. I think that going no contact with that family is a lot better than letting them blame you for something the husband doing.
