3:04 screw everyone else , your mother has no respect for you . That’s betrayal , bringing your ex to your wedding . She’s no mother , she’s a mother ( bleep )
Story 1: No no no NO. NTA. Cut contact with mom, cut contact with Dad, and cut contact with ANYONE taking mom's side. Mom pulled a massive diss move at your wedding. She deserved kicked out, and you really should cut contact with her and anyone on her side because they're awful people if they can't see this.
Story one: I think op was correct to kick both the ex and mother. If she just kicked out the ex the mother would likely try to sneak her back into reception.
Story 1: Wow, this is just brutal. OP needs to go zero contact with the mother here, and anybody on her side. The mom here is absolutely insane for doing this... and why did Margo even agree to go? I guess it goes to show that controlling and manipulative women/people really love each others company. Margo had no right to be there, and the mom had no right to bring her... and the OP and June had every right to throw them out. Cut all of them out. Story 2: No, OP isn't a jerk here, and the truth does hurt here. If Ashley hadn't been harassing the other woman online, then i would say that the OP was being a little bit harsh here, but the fact that the OP got confronted instead of Ashley (being a twin really can suck at times) then i say no, not the jerk. I dont get why Ashley is with this Jared guy. He sounds awful all the way around, not just for being a deadbeat. I guarnatee that in a year or two, he'll do that same to Ashley. Story 3: Nope, not the jerk at all here. I get the family wanting to support the sister during the time of bad bullying, but the parents just went way overboard here.... and so did the one grandmother here. What was her issue? This whole family sounds absolutely nuts. More reasons why you dont coddle one child and play favorites. I do feel a little bad for the sister for some things, but i really hope the OP goes no contact with the parents once he is 18. Story 4: More proof here why managers should just leave things alone. Focus on dimes, lose out on dollars. The more you micromanage, the more you end up costing the company. Managers like Mark that do stunts like this should be fired. Story 5: OP isn't a jerk at all, and i would be considering legal aid here, because since the OP is 17, i wouldnt put it past the mom to try and steal any or all of the inheiritance here. Just because the OP is going to a trade school instead of college or university doesnt mean that he doesnt deserve it or the siblings deserve it more....and ,ay off with the guilt tripping too. Just because you dont want to give it up, doesnt mean you would then be a bad brother. OP really needs to keep a close eye on this trust here. I'm pretty sure the mom will try everything in the book to get that money from the OP. Story 6: Not the jerk in the least here. The OP had the cats long before Kristy moved in here, and by the sounds of things, she plans to move in with her bf and only the mom has an issue with the cats here. I get that the risks of toxplasmosis, but you can potentially get that from many other things than just cat feces. Also, why doesn't the mom let Kristy stay with her in the meantime... regardless of past issues? I guess it just goes to show how good of a parent this mom really is.
*Story 1:* No, you're definitely *not* the jerk in this story. Apparently Margo was toxic and so is mother. Good for June for setting up boundaries and not putting up with people's bullshit for a second.
Story 1: This is brutal. OP should avoid her mother and allies. Why did Margo agree to go? This mom is nuts. Story 2: OP isn't a jerk, but the truth hurts. Story 3: Not the jerk. I understand the family wanting to help the sister during harsh bullying, however the parents and one granny went far.
Story 6: Not the jerk for refusing to get rid of the cats just because your breeder friend’s cat hating goon of a mom is entitled. It’s none of her damn business.
Story 1: Nothing screams "true love" less than manipulating your significant other. And now for your mother to force you into a marriage with this control freak? This isnt macOS Ventura at all. NTA.
Story 2: seriously this guy is literally a deadbeat and honestly he is only playing baby maker to knock up women and decides to leave that high and dry when they have the children. He's only doing this so he can avoid paying child support. Honestly I think that's messed up and he needs to be roped in for the damages he caused.
Story #5: Mom's crazy! First, does she even know that they'd spend it on college? Second, how does she know that they won't drop out? A small percentage of people that go to college actually stick with it. And third, even if they did stick with it until graduation, they'd probably get pointless degrees anyway! Also trade school does cost less. But it isn't free! Plus what's left could go towards a down payment on a house!
We all grow up within a "pattern" in our family system. Everyone has a role to play. We grow comfortable playing a certain "role" within the family. The controlling role of Margo mirrored what you grew up with. It was " comfortable"... until you grew out of it. Congratulations on breaking the pattern and finding someone who is right for you! You are NOT wrong for asking your Mom to leave. In doing so, you were able to enjoy your wife. Unfortunately, you have some relatives who are stuck in their old roles. They are angry because you broke the pattern. And, they haven't yet recognized it. They may never do so. But you two are very fortunate to have found one another. Congrats!
Regarding story 1: *There is NO WAY in hell I'd entertain the idea of breaking my current girlfriend's heart after nearly 3 years together to get back together and eventually marry my cheating ex-fiancée. And anyone who tried to make me do it would be kicked out of whatever event we're at. My last words to them: I've moved on. I'm MUCH happier now. Get over it.*
Story 3: Obviously none of this is the daughter's fault, but mom and dad aren't being good parents here. It's great that they've got the sister's back and are taking her issues seriously, but that doesn't mean they should coddle her. Teaching your kids that it rewards to be a victim is one of the biggest ways you can set them up for failure. Not to mention the fact they're displaying pure favoritism here and are totally neglecting OP.
story about the inheritance: few things p*ss me off as much as using the dead to your own gains. "You should do what I would want because this dead person who can no longer speak for themselves would've wanted it." My father-in-law never liked me and tried this on my wife when her mom died. "She never liked him, so you should divorce his ass and move back home." Despite the fact that her mom stood up for me against her husband and even my own wife more than a handful of times. She's the main reason we're still married. She helped us through issues and encouraged us to try and make it work rather than bailing at the first hiccup.
really enjoyed this video, it was quite the rollercoaster! but honestly, I think the mom’s behavior is way out of line. like, who does that? a wedding is such a personal moment, and to try and hijack it like that just seems so dramatic. what are your thoughts?
story 1: I would spill the tea, I would tell every relative and if I have it forward them text messages everything my mom did and what she said about my wife, not sparring any detail I would also take it to fbook message and state that I will not be judged for what I did because the only one who should be blamed or judge is my mom for being a Mozilla and trying to earn a mother in law from hell award from my wife.
Op parents are in wrong because what the grandparents did with their grandkids is wrong but their money and rights give way who they want. Op parents looking their touch with panic attacks and op parents letting op sis controlling the family with her panic attacks, is she doing those panic attacks because what happen with the grandparents money. If op parents not 🛑 giving into her every time she have a panic attack she will expect her parter do it every time her want do something different. If i listening this right every time op want to something those panic attack come along some she her own way.
Second story my mom and her sister had an aurgement just like this before my cousin was born. I can say with a fact, deadbeats always leave the side sick when she is no longer the fun side chick but the main gf he is suddenly responible for.
Honestly in the second story I still think that the OP wasn’t the jerk, but I think she was perhaps a bit too blunt about it and that it seems they’re just redirecting a lot of the trauma she built up because of their dad and generalizing it to the her sisters deadbeat husband, I mean, she is right, and she is definitely not the jerk, and I also definitely think her sister should not be proud of being pregnant of the guy that abandoned his previous kids, but then again, she was a bit too blunt about it, and there are definitely better times to talk to her sister about this than during dinner with her sister an her sister’s husband.
The person with the inheritance will need to buy tools etc for his trade and that can be expensive. He may even need to buy a car or truck and will still need some books etc
Last story, mothers creating troubles where there ain't none... Sorry _mom_ but my house, my rules... Friend can stay, if friend doesn't like it she's free to leave, if you don't like it (try to) convince friend to use alternative(s) you provided If result is not what you want(ed), the exit is the same door you came in through *points at door Well, that would be my view/reaction to this... People with pets very rarely allow anything to come between them and their fur babies...

Naw that first story… if it had been anyone else in the wedding bringing Margo in, they’d kick them out. Why should the mom be an exception?

Imagine being mad and hating your son's new spouse because they set boundaries with you and don't let you push them around
*Story 1:* No, you're definitely *not* the jerk in this story. Apparently Margo was toxic and so is mother. Good for June for setting up boundaries and not putting up with people's bullshit for a second.
No! Mamma had to go, too. If you don't enforce boundaries, she will keep pushing the boundaries.

For the 3rd story, the only question I have is why didn't you stick up for your sister when she was getting bullied, that is what siblings are for
The second you get married cut contact with her because she obviously doesn't appreciate your life or support you
really enjoyed this video, it was quite the rollercoaster! but honestly, I think the mom’s behavior is way out of line. like, who does that? a wedding is such a personal moment, and to try and hijack it like that just seems so dramatic. what are your thoughts?
Just let someone even TRY to tell me I have to get rid of my cat!

This is NOT a popularity contest. You are the AH by addling the questions
If your mom loves Margo so much, your mom can fricking Marry Margo
Honestly in the second story I still think that the OP wasn’t the jerk, but I think she was perhaps a bit too blunt about it and that it seems they’re just redirecting a lot of the trauma she built up because of their dad and generalizing it to the her sisters deadbeat husband, I mean, she is right, and she is definitely not the jerk, and I also definitely think her sister should not be proud of being pregnant of the guy that abandoned his previous kids, but then again, she was a bit too blunt about it, and there are definitely better times to talk to her sister about this than during dinner with her sister an her sister’s husband.
Story #4: Sounds like the manager is on the spectrum...
Not a bad thing but that hyperfocus is very misapplied
The person with the inheritance will need to buy tools etc for his trade and that can be expensive. He may even need to buy a car or truck and will still need some books etc
Story #2: the OP is a jerk for calling her sister a disgusting loser. But I think she is right about everything else
Last story, mothers creating troubles where there ain't none...
