WTAF? "Let me have Liam, you've had him too long." Jenna, I don't care what fertility problems you're going through, but you have NO RIGHT to anyone else's children. Given that OP says that Jenna and Mike had been looking into adoption, I'm wondering if they got refused by the agency because of their attitudes.
I think that is very likely. OP needs a restraining order against Jenna. You can almost be sure that if the OP were to allow Liam spend a night or weekend, she would either try to abduct him or try to claim that he was her son when the OP goes to pick hm up.
"(OP) is making me look bad in front of our friends." Lady, YOU forgot your wallet and expect someone else to cover for you. YOU'RE making yourself look bad.
Story 5: Uuugghhh! I've had to deal with that exact same situation. People in the house hold refusing to event try to be a little quiet while I slept for my night shift job. Only difference I was a truck driver and not a nurse. Technically it was even more important that I got sleep than the OP, given that falling asleep behind the wheel is incredibly dangerous for not just me but everyone around me.
story 1 your not the jerk here you’re sister is she can’t just take your son off you because she can’t have any children you’re sister needs therapy and maybe medication and if that doesn’t work she might need inpatient treatment depending on her mental state and maybe you should put up security cameras and change the locks you don’t want your sister to break in while you’re sleep and take your child and tell the school or daycare that you’re sister can not pick your son up you don’t know how far she will go with this it’s better to be safe than sorry 🤬🤬🤬😡🤔🫣🫣
Story 1: Okay, the OP needs to cut out Jenna and anybody on her side here. The OP did a lot for Jenna over the years, and its further proof why you shouldn't have a "golden child"... they always grow up to have a 'world owes me' mindset, and Jenna obviously does here. While the idea of adoption would be good for Jenna, after this, there is no way i would ever let Liam see Jenna unsupervised. I wouldn't put it past her to either abduct Liam or try to claim that he is hers if the OP were to let him stay with her and then goes to pick him up. OP was 100% justified in getting mad here. Screw Jenna. Story 2: Okay, first of all, i really really hope that that disabled is doing okay after that fall. Falls like that are never good. Second, if i were the OP, i absolutely would've called both towing and the police here, regardless on whether this was a gated community or not. That is very illegal, not to mention very rude and inconsiderate, to park in front of a ramp like that. Why let it slide? The police and towing can very easily overrule whatever rules that community has. Story 3: OP is aboslutely not the jerk here.... and why is this friend group even allowing Sarah along? This isn't a one time thing, this happens a lot and im pretty sure this is on purpose. Also, why is everyone getting sore at the OP? Why on earth should they have to cover Sarah here? If she felt embarassed here, then that is all on her, and if more friends are on her side here, then i would never go out to dinner or anything with them again. Story 4: Okay, what the hell is up with the guy here? Its bad enough he was blocking the parking lot, but then he assaulted the OP here. I would've gone back into the store and got them to call the police. This old guy was way out of line here. Story 5: Not the jerk in the least. First off, your house, your rules. Plain and simple. Working the graveyard shift anywhere is tough enough, but its extra tough at a care home. It almost sounds like the sister was trying to take over the household here, because she showed absolutely no care towards the OP. All of her apologies were empty. I would kick out the sister too. She is a huge jerk and drama queen here. Story 6: OP is not a jerk at all. This is why destination weddings can be the best and worst things in the world. I agree with the OP on that this is the friends wedding and they are entitled to whatever they want for it in their eyes, but at the same time, its overseas and sounds like its both not cheap and that the OP and others will only go for the wedding and not on some extra holiday. I think the OP is right, a fair number of people wont show up and the friend needs to hear it.
what an intriguing video! i really appreciate the discussion around such a complex issue. but honestly, i can't agree with the idea that anyone can just demand to take someone else's child. every mom has her unique challenges and strengths, and it's hard for anyone outside that relationship to claim they would do it better. it feels like crossing a serious boundary, right?
Story 3: If Jenna routinely stiffs people for her bills she isn't anybody's "friend". She's a leech; a professional mooch. Whenever she's out with people, one of them should ask her bluntly, "Did you bring your wallet today, Jenna?", then drop her off at home if the answer is no.
Story #1: Jenna's a psycho. Like why don't they just go through with the adoption? Or is it that they CAN'T go through with an adoption, because they're unfit parents? It's not gonna end here. I'd get a restraining order A.S.A.P. Story #4: MAN that's creepy! Story #6: Why not just elope? Then come back, and have a big, blowout, party to end all parties, after it's all said and done.
Story 1: Definitely get a restraining order. You can almost be sure that if the OP were to allow Liam spend a night or weekend with her, she would either try to abduct him or try to claim that he was her son when the OP goes to pick hm up.
Even for a local wedding guests are allowed to decline for any reason, but for destination weddings it's even MORE so. Most people can't just change their schedule at a whim, even with months of advance notice, so the couple needs to be even MORE prepared for people to decline. Some people just don't like to travel, and especially if it's going to stretch their budget beyond what they deem reasonable. Definitely NTJ.
I want to say quite personally I wanna disagree on the last story basically to say oh you’re setting expectations too high for out I think it’s called location worry I could be wrong, but no yes you are the jerk if this is what your friend wanting to be like oh well you shouldn’t do that because it’s unrealistic that’s different choice.
You are a jerk to yourself to wear headphones while pumping gas; that's a dangerous environment no matter what and you damn need to be aware of what other idiots are doing in a compact space handling flammable liquids, operating vehicles, let alone having temper tantrums

Story 1: those people that treat a child like a commodity are just some of the the most creepy people out there IMO.

Jenna needed harsh reality NOT enableing over the endge into full on delusion which she had a toe in
"(OP) is making me look bad in front of our friends."
Lady, YOU forgot your wallet and expect someone else to cover for you. YOU'RE making yourself look bad.
People who treat babies and small children like trading cards never cease to baffle me. The audacity is something else.
Sister would be catching hands 😂 you in fact don't have the right to other people kid's

To whomever reads this:
May your day be filled with smiles. 😊
You too! 😊
Thanks, stranger! You too 😊
Thank you 😊

First story: You had every right to react the way you did. If anyone tried to take my kid I’d lose my shit..

Story 1: The way Jenna saw Liam like she saw him as property, not a human being.
Sounds like a creep.

Agreed. Anyone who was on her side should've paid the bill... dont expect anyone else to.
This mate dose all the time, this mate want free food
A destination wedding is not eloping

Jenna’s fertility issues are NOT OPs problems
Eloping is not the same as a destination wedding.
Get a restraining order OP
Story 1: NTJ at all. The "sister" brought that reaction on herself by demanding that you hand over your child.
Story 5, sis needs a job
