I love that you said "Tiffany who works with me" and not FOR me.
As a guy who had a lesion removed and now see my Dermatologist every six months, I have checked out a number of sunscreens too. Beauty of Joseon dries clear, and at the end of the day your skin is better than when you put it on. For me it has a tiny unpleasant smell for about 2 seconds, then none. But totally recommend. One of the LaRoche's gives me red blotchy skin, but for most people it's also nice. And for slathering it on your arms and body and even your face the Trader Joe's is just fine. My significant other uses the EltaMD and loves it. So just my take - but for sure use something!
I enjoy watching your videos as I appreciate your no nonsense approach and direct communication. Thank you.
Sensitive/oily skin girlie here. I love Dr. Jart sunscreen. I find that if you moisturize well prior to application- it can help with blending the white cast of the product.
out of the many sunscreens I tried for my very sensitive skin, Beauty of Joseon is the only one that does not give breakouts, does not sting, not clog my pores..It's the best sunscreen ever❤
I fully agree!
I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and eyes and the Beauty of Joseon does not burn my face or eyes at all. So elegant and zero smell. And the tube is kind of small so it’s easy to carry w u all day. They also have a more matte stick one to reapply as well.
Thank you for your time, effort and knowledge that you share with us on a weekly basis. Vous etes indispensable❤️
Thanks Dr. Shereene for your great content! I grew up in SW Florida, I just had my annual full-body screen/mole check.
I'm on the right track when my Derm says, "I wish all my patients had their SPF game dialed-in like you." SUCCESS! I want to walk in his office and hear that each and every year. Casper the ghost is my goal. 😆🤣😂
I think the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizing Illuminating Sunscreen is a reintroduction of the original. Years ago, like 12 or so years, they had an Illuminating SPF tinted Moisturizer which was great, but it was like super crazy shiny (think shiny disco ball).
Thank god this came out today. I have a Sephora order over $200 waiting on me to check out and I was bringing your videos including an old sunscreen video
Thank you for the recommendations. Your skin looks amazing!
Thank you sweet girl, delivered just what I needed!
I’m more oily during summertime and beauty of joseon is absolutely amazing 😻
So happy La Roche-Posay is included! ☺ Thank you for doing this Doc!❤
Yeu! Another video. Yes beauty of Joseon is my everyday sunscreen and I don’t moisturizer anymore. I have supergoop for highlighting coz it hurts my eyes as well. Love you doc!
Awesome, thank you! Some of your picks are my favs too and on sale, yay.
I LOVE that my oily face is already using what you suggested for oily skin😂. I’m guessing you suggested in a video a year or so before and it’s been doing great for me. ❤❤
Wearing Beauty of Joseon right now! Love it so much !
Amazing as always 🤩! Thank you for this wonderful information ❤️!
Australian Gold tinted feels so light and powdery on the face. It is a really nice mineral sunscreen for no makeup days, and for you darker skin toned women, it does come in darker shades. The Australian Gold for body will definitely leave no doubt your skin is covered! I used it when my kids were little but now prefer the Supergoop Play in a large pump bottle.
I swear by the Australian Gold SPF!! It feels incredible!
I love the Peter Thomas Roth tinted mineral sunscreen. So glad you featured it. I'm super pale (practically transparent), but the PTR works for me too.
I recently got that one and I like it too. But it doesn't seem to dry and set and then transfers to my clothing. Does that occur to you as well?
As a medium dark toned woman with sensitive skin, I've been using Vichy Capitol Soleil 30 ultra light. Its in the small bottle. No white cast at all and keeps my skin healthy looking and glowy:)
Love your videos! Fabulous information!😀
2:37 Skin 1004 has a beautiful sunscreen for oily skin. Also the beauty of joseon has a great sunscreen stick for oily skin.
I just got the Supergoop brush SPF. Great as I prefer a more matte finish. Tula also has a nice glow SPF that I use for a little highlight on my cheeks. My daughter likes it too for highlights. 😊🌞
For all Europe parents with sensitive skin , Naïf has great mineral sunscreens (one without perfume, too) with minimal ghosting 👻 on your or your kids.
I use the glow screen as a "makeup" with a light layer/not around my eyes, but i use a ton of the beauty of joseon before and I LOVE it.
Thank you, just in time for summer! I always love your pretty settle eyeliner. I think you should do a get ready with me and do your skincare & little makeup like eyeliner. 🥰😍
The Laroche-posay burns eyes like crazy!! Trader Joe's SPF 40 is fantastic! It's got a silicone feel that is very elegant under makeup ❤
Same here, burns my eyes when I start sweating. Probably best during winter time.
This was incredibly helpful! I am just now stocking up on sunscreen for the family and the timing was excellent.
I would be curious to learn about anything you know on skin changing during perimenopause- such as being a life-long oily skin wearer and suddenly getting dry patches in perimenopause
Thank you!!! This is exactly what I needed!
Love Isdin sunscreen, it has improved my skin so much better than all the skin products
I've used.
This was so helpful! Thank you so much!
Oooooo spf powder for hair! What a good idea!
I just ordered the Purito one! Excited to try it my skin is so dry!
Can you please demonstrate how to apply sunscreen to your scalp when your hair is thin AND fine??? Thank you! And I love your videos! I’ve learned so much from you already! Merci!
Brilliant video ❤ I love Skinaqua UV essence and Canmake Mermaid. I have oily acne prone skin and am sensitive to lots of other sunscreens.
Love your videos as always ❤❤
Do you have any suggestions for lightweight moisturisers to use in the summer? Like gel moisturisers? 🌷
Thank you dr for your amazing content! Also would really appreciate if you could review the new bioderma sensibio defensive serum 🤭
For medium/tan ppl the beauty of joseon sunscreen is my favorite all year even though I get significantly darker in summer/on vacation. I'm always a 27 in any Asian beauty foundation. In American foundations I'm either "medium" or darker.
Agreed! I’m medium, with golden undertones. It blends well. It’s hot in central CA and it stays on well!
Thank you for the great video!!! I love BoJ so much. Really great product that doesn’t irritate at all. I love the consistency, too. I slather it all over my arms because I have vitiligo.
Can you do a makeup tutorial video for your makeup in this video. Especially the eyes...your makeup looks beautiful!
I have oily skin and use the BoJ sunscreen...everyday!! I find it perfect for my dark skin. No white caste and I skip moisturiser :)
Beauty of Joseon. HOLY GRAIL.
I’m getting the first two, thank you!
Can you please do a skin care routine for brown skin or darker skin tones including cleanser, retinol, vitamin c , anti aging serums, moisturizer and spf for different skin types?
BOJ is my fav sunscreen of all time !! Makes me enthusiastic about wearing sunscreens !! ❤❤❤
What skin type do you have?
@@ya.02 I used to have an oily combination skin type, but now it's shifted to dry combination skin type.
If you're in Europe - la roche posay uvmune 400(both fluid and cream options) are absolutely amazing . I have sensitive skin and had no irritation using these (just make sure you're buying non tinted, fragrance free version) .
Is it greasy? And does it leave spots on clothes?
@@GRABBING77 it is very greasy
@@GRABBING77 I believe they just came up with gel version of uvmune 400 for oily skin . My skin is on dryish side , UVMUNE 400 INVISIBLE FLUID - is just perfect for me now when it's more hot and humid , cream version was amazing during the winter as it's more hydrating , but still wasn't greasy on me tbh . As per spots on clothes - haven't notice any , so I don't think so :)
I use that too,I like it but leaves my skin feeling kinda sticky,is that just me?
@@GRABBING77I have combination skin with quite greasy forehead. The La roche fluid spf is the only one that doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy, tacky or anything like that. It’s a fluid, not a cream…
I love love love DRMTLGY sunscreens. They have a combination tinted and a pure physical sunscreen. Both are EXCELLENT. The physical is a little thicker but the best pure physical sunscreen I have used so far and I have used A LOT. I prefer it when I need water resistant (in the summer)
I started using erborian on my face. I love your eyeshadow 🦋
you covered every possible category (I love that you included skin tone as a whole category unto itself especially!; thank you for such thorough recommodations!!
Thank you.... so very helpful for all skin type and darker skin tones.....😇
Thank you so much! You are amazing
Thanks. I tried beauty of joseon. It’s really easy to use and melts in your skin.
Always awsome content ❤
There's one thing I always ask myself when it comes to SPF and that's how a high-end sunscreen is different from inexpensive ones. Why wouldn't we just put nivea sunscreen on our body and limit the more cosmetically elegant ones for the face? Do they make any difference? Does the brand affect quality?
Other good options for mineral sunscreens are Colorscience and MD Solarsciences Mineral BB cream. Both have multiple shades for tint.
Love the isntree sunscreen for oily combo skin in this hot humid weather
I don't use moisturizer in the morning
Only a vitamin C serum followed by sunscreen and for the past few days, even the BoJ one has been feeling oily and kinda sticky in the T-zone
Mad About Skin (UK brand) has a fantastic chemical sunscreen with modern filters and it is amazing and hydrating!
Your hello my little nerds just makes my day 😊love love your videos
I wanted to love the Purito Daily Go To, but it stung my eyes. Neck down it was great. A better choice for my eyes was Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream. Also a fan of Mad About Skin spf (UK brand) for everyday application.
Love your videos on sunscreen but can you also offer an spf chapstick? This never gets talked about, thanks!!
The Trader Joe's sunscreen feels almost identical to the Supergoop unseen sunscreen. I've been really liking it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE supergoop!!! ALL goops are
great!
oh yeah & colorscience
too but more
expensive for the
same
thing.
I like the Cppertone Glow for the body, nice glow, but it does leave little sparkles everywhere 😮 For children, I love the brand Babo Botanicals for the as well as myself ❤
All I want to say is I just love you!!
Dr Idriss!! I literally fell in love with your channel and became absolutely obsessed - basically zipping through your videos in a week's time and pretty much watched/listened to them all while doing misc. stuff 😆 Thanks so much for offering these valuable information! I was wondering if you could comment on the rise of hormonal skincare and if there's anything to watch out for. I also wonder about your thoughts on silicones - I know that the evilness of it has been debunked but I still seem to break out from products containing them (especially cyclopentasiloxane, I think), so I wonder if there's another reason/why that could be. My skin is sensitive to even the Bioderma micellar water (around eyes) so I want products that are easy to wash off with an effective cleanser, but stuff containing dimethicone takes a lot of efforts to cleanse off. Most of the products you recommend contain dimethicone, so I wonder if you could shed some light on that?
Thank you so much & take care! :)
I have so many issues with finding a legit sunscreen that doesn’t irritate my skin or break me out. Recently got the Murad Correct & Protect Broad Spectrum SPF 45 PA+++, It goes on like a serum and SO FAR has not caused chaos on my face lol but it’s new so only time will tell. I am a huge fan of Laura Mercier, I’ve never tried the ones recommended in the video (but I will be) I’ve only worn the oil free SPF 20 tinted moisturizer one but I have high hopes for the new illuminated one 😮. Thank you, always learning with these videos : )
As usual words of wisdom ❤
❤❤❤
I have the one by Beauty of Joseon. It’s incredibly easy to wear, love it!
Me too! On the 6th tube. For anyone wondering, Stylevana has good prices but they take nearly a month for product to get in your hot lil hands- so order early and plenty so no need to reorder often!
@@meganh7742 the restocking of this one is really the only issue I have with this sunscreen:)
Just found you and sooo happy to hear I am not the only one that doesn't love hylauronic acid! Do you have foundation recommendations?
Thank you for videos. They give me hope as I’m working though some skin care issues.
Do you have recommendations for products for lip balms with spf?
I also watched your lip basting video and I noticed there weren’t products recommended specifically for that. Thank you!
I love Hada Labo UV white gel. I like the beauty of Josen, but it irritated my eyes a little. The Drmtlgy hybrid tinted sunscreen does not irritate my eyes at all
Love LRP toleriane and beauty of Josean for everyday and I have sensitive skin. The tower 28 tinted sunscreen/moisturizer is also great for makeup and it’s approved by the eczema association
Love your content!! Is it possible to talk about body care products that contain retinaldehyde next (not an ester just retinal) they seem impossible to find. ❤❤
I use the gold bond new overnight retinol lotion and have seen really nice improvements. It's obviously not retinal but I've never seen a body lotion with that ingredient before. It's not surprising because it's quite costly to formulate but just offering an alternative. I've also recommend it to friends in their 50s and 60s, one just finished with chemo and we all really enjoy it with zero irritation.
We can definitely cover body with summer coming up! Drop your questions down below 👇
@@shereeneidriss Is there a non glittery but glowing body lotion for that lovely summer glow.
@@shereeneidriss Is it okay to use a body aunscreen containing 0.04% retinaldehyde?
Also, is 0.2% retinaldehyde serum too high of a percentage?
@Dr. Shereene Idriss can you recommend products for Keratosis Pilaris?
I didn't know there were sunscreen powders! My scalp always gets burnt when I go to the beach. Ill definitely buy a sunscreen powder this summer.
I like beauty of joseon and cosrx for my oily skin, and they are cruelty free❤
I want to thank you for your recommendations. Thanks to your presentation, I found the best spf for my skin. I have tried many types of spf lately, but none of them satisfied me. Beauty of Joseon is perfect for my skin in every way. It is extremely light in texture, easy to reapply and a good base for make-up.
Thanks so much, very very helpful as always!!😂
Ever since I tried the nano mister method, now Dr. Idriss, you are my skin goddess and my go to skin advice channel♥️♥️♥️😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
In the UK there us UltraSun which is nice. Also, for oily skin, Tocobo is good.
Thank you! Looking for daily sunscreen for my hands, sometimes arms, tips of feet (Not beach)
Would love you to test out some Australian sunscreens one day! We have a huge variety: Cancer Council, Naked Sundays, Natio, Hamilton, Mecca Save Face... heaps! If there's a way for you to get them in the US, I'd love to see your take on them.
Beauty of Joseon Rice Probiotic SPF50 is not a hybrid sunscreen, it only contains chemical/organic UV filters.
But smells vile!
hi dr. idriss! i've been binge watching your videos and i must say you quickly become my favorite derm on youtube. anyways i watched your other videos about sunscreen that was posted on 2022 and i'm confused. in that video you mentioned that beauty of joseon was your recommended sunscreen for oily skin type, and la roche posay for dry skin. but in this video, the oily and dry picks seems to be switched. i would love to get an explanation if you don't mind. thank you!❤
For darker sensitive skins you could try the isdin eryfotona but the tinted version. Or drmtlgy tinted.
For oily skin, it would also work if you use the suggested sunscreens for dry skin and skip moisturizer. Especially for summer since the LRP is only spf30. 😊
I kinda do the same cause the dry skin options (as much as I have seen) have the most protection
I have oily skin. For the past 3 months I switched my moisturizer/sunscreen to oil-free. A real game changer
Love your colorful bracelets 😍 😅
Good morning Dr. Idriss what are your thoughts on the Alastin tinted facial sunscreen for sensitive skin?
Would love to know your thoughts on the Alleyoop Sunsational Skin Tint SPF 50! Alleyoop seems to have a good shade range.
Please do a video on exfoliants and which are the best AHA and BHA's. How often to use it?Their compatibility with vitamin C and retinol.
Thank you just in the nick of time before I bought the wrong stuff!!! ❤😅
Does Isdin have any unscented options? Thanks doc! Great info!❤
Thank you Doc 🤗❤
Would love to hear your thoughts on Australian Gold; they have affordable tinted options. Thank you 🙏
Would love your input on Dr Strum’s line as well as Naked & Thriving serums/oil
Dr shirin I wish you would also share where you buy these beautiful jumpers from? I have loved so many of your jumpers but do not know where to buy them !? ❤love from Australia
Hey girl hey!!
I've had the same issue with sunscreen getting in my eyes, I actually had the same thing happen while driving it was super scary and is one of the reasons I don't wear it as often as I should. I will try one of the others you suggest here!
Please do a review on the Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen!!
best body sunscreen for a sunny vacation for both myself and hubby and preferably a bigger size then 100ml? I'm a huge fan Dr Idriss!!!
Thank you for your video. I"m curious though, as someone with melasma, I am told I need to find a sunscreen that either says 'blue light protection' on the packaging or bottle, or look for a tinted sunscreen. However, just because it's tinted, it does not automatically mean that it has blue light protection. It depends on the percentage of iron oxides and formula. Not to mention, how hard it is to find a tinted product to match a skin tone. (I'm light olive and still can't find one!). I love colour science but it is SO cost prohibitive. One bottle is $70 Canadian!
