As a guy who had a lesion removed and now see my Dermatologist every six months, I have checked out a number of sunscreens too. Beauty of Joseon dries clear, and at the end of the day your skin is better than when you put it on. For me it has a tiny unpleasant smell for about 2 seconds, then none. But totally recommend. One of the LaRoche's gives me red blotchy skin, but for most people it's also nice. And for slathering it on your arms and body and even your face the Trader Joe's is just fine. My significant other uses the EltaMD and loves it. So just my take - but for sure use something!

Australian Gold tinted feels so light and powdery on the face. It is a really nice mineral sunscreen for no makeup days, and for you darker skin toned women, it does come in darker shades. The Australian Gold for body will definitely leave no doubt your skin is covered! I used it when my kids were little but now prefer the Supergoop Play in a large pump bottle.

Shiseido is the best hands down in my opinion and I’m not sure why you don’t talk about it ever especially because it’s so popular and highly rated. It’s won the Allure best of beauty award. If you don’t like it and there is something wrong with it I would be interested in knowing that info because I’ve been using it for the last two years. I will say I have tried a few you swear by because that makes me curious and I got a tan on my face through them. I did reapply. So I immediately went back to my shiseido and even laying out at the pool/beach wherever I put it I get zero color from the sun. Don’t get me wrong I would love a tan on my face but the only reason I’m wearing SPF is for anti-aging so I’m not going to wear something if it’s not even working. For people asking for oily skin I use the urban defense oil free one for every day it’s fantastic not greasy at all. I use the clear stick over makeup it doesn’t disturb my makeup and it’s a great way to reapply it’s having a moment right now on TikTok. That one does have a slight sheen but doesn’t budge. I use the face and body one for the beach and pool it’s gives a beautiful glow it’s a peachy pearl liquidy lotion that rubs in clear and I KNOW it’s working because wherever I apply it I’m white as a ghost and I don’t put it on my legs and stomach and I get tan there so maybe go to Shiseido website they have a ton of info about sunscreen and they have a powder foundation with sunscreen that I’m also going to get for the summer in the humidity just for extra shine control and coverage. Btw these are just my opinions and for those who need a sunscreen that isn’t just elegant but also does the job for the people that are exposed to the outside elements and heat and humidity and that don’t want to be a greasy mess with a white cast😅

Long story short about me. I'm 30 and before 27 I have never used sunscreens except when I was a kid because of my mom and I also never had acne or any kind of major skin issues. However, I started to use sunscreens to prevent skin aging, skin cancer and sun spots. I have tried a lot since 3 years like chemicals, physicals, hybrids, asians and different consistencies to find the right one. In April 2021, I have started to have this HUGE unbalanced hormonal symptoms like FULL of jawline acne and increase of hair pilosity on my face. I also started to deal with different skin textures and redness. After thinking about it I have concluded that I may not be the perfect candidate to wear sunscreens because I have stopped using them, started back hiding from the sun, and wearing large sport hats since a week and I am starting to see improvement. I only talk about my face because I always wear long shirts or kangaroo sweatshirts. Does anyone deal with the same problem about sunscreens? Maybe it is the UV active filters who causes me these skin symptoms, I don't know 🤷‍♀️ but I kinda gave up after 3 years of tryouts

I have dry skin that can easily have reactions to things and always have the issue of sunscreens irritating me or breaking me out. I've had some luck with the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen - even though it's usually mentioned as good for oily skin, I find it works pretty well over a moisturizer for me. I work from home and not near a window and I only wear SPF when I go out though, so I have less days wearing it all day. Are you layering anything under your sunscreen? If not, I'd really recommend wearing a moisturizer underneath, even if you have oily skin. I know I could never use a daily moisturizer with spf by itself without a layer of something underneath, I need a barrier in between to reduce irritation.

I think of water-resistant spf in terms of sweat-resistance. For those of us that work in trades and are outside all year long we need stronger sunscreens. Although I love most of the ones in this video and wear them in the winter or when I'm at home, they just don't cut it. I go for the EU sunscreens when I'm at work. I love your content and would love to see reviews on stronger European spf's 💜

I'm in the EU and can recommend the Eucerin range, I love both the dry touch gel-cream spf 50+ 200ml and the sun allergy protect spf 50+ 150ml, both leave a very natural finish on the skin, can be confidently used on the face, don't feel heavy, greasy or sticky even after many reapplications. Amazing considering the size.

I have Rosacea and use the Vanicream facial SPF with no issues. The only thing I don’t like about it is when I use foundation over it, the makeup tends to settle into my fine lines. I have oily skin so that doesn’t help either. I live with it anyway because my skin doesn’t tolerate other spf’s.

The best sunscreen for me is the one that won’t cause skin irritation. I clicked on this video because I needed some sunscreen recommendations for sensitive & rosacea skin.
Also, I care about white cast as well, even though I thought I didn’t at first. I have pale skin, and I tried the Vanicream sunscreen, but even on my skin this sunscreen looks like chalk. It is highly noticeable, and looks too ridiculous to ignore 😅

I tired almost 15-20 sunscreens (chemical and physical) but Australian sunscreens are the best when it comes to protection. Whenever i go out and having Australian sunscreen and I don’t get any new sunburns or new sunspot. Most of them do leave white cast but I really don’t mind as I want to protect my skin. I’m pretty sure the French ‘pharmacy’ creams have different versions for the US market, but regardless of where I buy them, I honestly can’t see the appeal of La Roche posay SPFs. Nothing pills as much. I live in France now, and of the readily available sunscreens Avene has the best stuff. Especially the fluide one - it’s great if you have oily skin like me. Thank you for your video. I"m curious though, as someone with melasma, I am told I need to find a sunscreen that either says 'blue light protection' on the packaging or bottle, or look for a tinted sunscreen. However, just because it's tinted, it does not automatically mean that it has blue light protection. It depends on the percentage of iron oxides and formula. Not to mention, how hard it is to find a tinted product to match a skin tone. (I'm light olive and still can't find one!). I love colour science but it is SO cost prohibitive. One bottle is $70 Canadian!
