Sad that the season modes of 06 and 07 were better done than the current 2K career mode nonsense. The wrestlers talked and didn't sound all that bad doing it and some of the storylines in these games were better than some of the ones going on in real life lol
Season mode would be cool if they brought it back and really had storylines that differed upon the character you played. Like, having storylines that depended if you played one of the members of the Shield or went around destroying people as Strowman and so on.
2K has the power to do better than more than this but they stuck on trying to make WWE games feel like NBA lite.

The season mode of Randy Orton is just the same as Batista. Because both doesn't have legends tour and you will face Triple H in a Hell in a Cell for the World Heavyweight Title.

I just realized something it just hit me, in the new WWE game you can be a special referee but in this game SVR ‘06 you could be too. I forgot about that.
Meanwhile on Smackdown side the players will get two option whether to jump teddy long with the car the player frame the other superstars by asking them about Teddy Long accidents (John Cena as WWE Champion) & get to deal with ECW invasion with nearly one on watching the player's back (RVD as WWE Champion)

It's weird that RVD is the WWE Champion at that season mode. I mean on the Raw Season mode it's either Batista or HHH you are going to face. But on the Smackdown season mode, it's either John Cena or RVD you are going to face with. It should be JBL cause Cena face JBL at Wrestlemania 21 so the two of them should be the final boss of Smackdown Season mode.See my parallel?
SmackDown:
To get John Cena as the champion, you should either play as Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio, Booker T, Spike Dudley or Big Show, as they will unlock the Teddy Long storyline automatically, or if you don't wanna play as any of them, choose Rob Van Dam as your partner against Orlando Jordan and the Basham Brothers in "Torrie's Contract". Rob Van Dam will be injured and out of the rest of the Season Mode, and since you didn't pick John Cena, he won't be injured.
To get Rob Van Dam as the champion, you should either play as Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle or John Bradshow Layfield, as they will unlock the ECW storyline automatically, or if you don't wanna play as any of them, choose John Cena as your partner against Orlando Jordan and the Basham Brothers in "Torrie's Contract". I remember if there's one specific goal to achieve specifically like say win this match, but you lose, you will see a screenshot of the wrestler say something but in a text format as there are lot's of parts on there the game has you to do step by step.
One example: Custom superstar fatal 4 way match has that to do list you must complete before progressing through the story.

If I remember correctly I think there's also a WWE champion season mode as well that's different then what seems to be the normal season mode for most of the Superstars. At least I think there is, I remember playing as John Cena and getting something seemingly different.

MainEventGames I meant with your own character I saw people doing that I tried following their same choices but in the end there is always Triple H as the champion...
ITs not possible its exclusive to HHH, Chris jericho and I think Mankind
MainEventGames nah I found out how to have Batista as the champ, apparently you need to have the world title locked (never finished the Raw season mode before) and start a new game with your created character than betray Shelton Benjamin, insult Eugene and pick the ironman match. But if you don't have the world title locked you will not be able to face Batista at wrestlemania with your created character, just with triple h and Jericho.

I have a qusetion, In the Smackdown Season mode, if you are going to face Cena for WWE Championship you have the option of going to Raw to face HHH for the World Title. But why in the Raw season mode you don't have that kind of choice when picking your opponent for Wrestlemania?
