I'm happy with the outcome of replacing mine with these auxito leds also my rear turning signal and fog light. These lights are affordable and of excellent quality.
I also did mine today, but left the license plate bulbs standard. Don’t like the white light. But the interior + door lights, wow what an improvement! So much better and it makes the car look fresher. Sadly the mirror lights are smaller and couldn’t find a led bulb for it. Haven’t checked the trunk light, but I bet it’s just as good.
I installed 5 of the Auxito 194 LEDs into my 2007 Prius. Two for the door courtesy lights and three for the map/dome lights. The next day I had the passenger front door open for 10 minutes while the car was in Ready mode, when I got the Red triangle warning light, followed by smoke coming from the dash area behind the steering wheel. It smelled like melting wire. I can't confirm the exact cause but it appears that one of the lights shorted out the contacts. There's a similar report of this on the Prius chat forum.

Hey, I was super disappointed with the little light in the trunk too, and while I replaced that lamp with an LED which made an improvement, I also added a 24" aluminum LED cove that pops into a pair of clips we screwed to the back hatch. The light fixture is visible in the rear view mirror but when it isn't on, it's not really an issue. But we powered it in parallel with the existing trunk light, so when the hatch opens the big light bar comes on too, and it throws a TREMENDOUS amount of light. And we put it on a lot of extra cord which is coiled in a storage cubby in the trunk, so in an emergency the light bar can be demounted without tools, and walked all the way around the car to light up whatever you need to see.
I had the same problem as you when encountering the vanity light bulbs. The LEDs that I got for my 2002 Chevrolet Prizm's dome light didn't fit, but they fit my '07 Prius' 2 dome lights pretty well. They're the SIRIUS LED brand.
It's installed and hooked up to the chassis wiring, but doesn't work. I'm not sure if there's a compatibility issue, or a wiring issue. I've been busy with other things.
@@michaelblacktree It’s the MFD that isn’t compatible. You need to swap it for one that has a higher screen resolution. (One with the NAV button, or a unit that came from a Prius with back up cam). The base MFD has a lower resolution.
Thank you it was really helpful

Great Video looks like a half hour job at most!
You can probably replace all those lights in 15-20 minutes. For me, it took several days, because I was making a video.
Damn, those are bright!
Very bright!
@@michaelblacktree very, very bright.
Bright enough for my old eyes to see what I'm doing. 😛

I love the wheel hub cap never seen those before where you get them
They're aluminum pizza pans I got on Amazon. My car has 15" wheels, but 16" pizza pans fit perfectly.

That's pretty cool.

Do all of your 3 front bulbs light up when the door is opened?
What are these wheel covers you have and where can you get them ?
They're aluminum pizza pans. I explained how I installed them here: ecomodder.com/forum/showthread.php/prius-experiment-40050-22.html
Just bought an 08 Prius & found your channel! Did you ever install that junkyard stock back up camera?

@@michaelblacktree Bummer! No worries at all, was just curious cuz I’d like to do the same!

How many 194 LED bulbs did you use and how many of the other ones did you use? 3? 2 for the trunk and one for the dome light?
How many of each type do you need to buy?
I explained this in the intro of the video.
