I bought your cook book, bought the staples, and I have never had problems with lunch or dinner since. Oh my lord things are just so much easier - plus I'm gaining an idea of how the Korean flavors work so I can play around with them myself. Naan would be happy, I was too young to learn from her before she passed and my dad never picked up any cooking skills. Thank you Aaron and Claire
I have learned so much from watching him chop things up! Unfortunately my thumb was a victim this past summer, so now I pay far more attention! Cheers, friend. 🤓
Yes! Teach us how not to take forever cutting veggies Aaron! Secondarily i finally found some amazing kimchi and im officially addicted. I havent had a sinfle bowl of noodles or rice in thr last week i havent added it to! Also, kimchj as a side for steak is awesome.i cooked a ribeye and as a fattier steak i wanted to try it with kimchi for some acidity to cut through that. Wowww, did kimchi impress in this utilization. Onto another ubiquitous korean ingredient, i wonder how gochujang would work in a steak compound butter...
@@ImdaVP Gochujang butter is RIDICULOUS. Gochujang, garlic, honey, some red pepper flakes, a tiny bit of soy sauce. I could eat it with a spoon, much less a steak.
Love how Claire sometimes gives further advice and tricks to make the meal even more delicious. Egg drop in that chicken soup sounds absolutely amazing.
I don't understand how Aaron's recipes aren't more popular, it's the best and easiest Korean recipes I have found. The flavors are so lovely & balanced. Thank you Aaron and Claire!! 💜
I checked the first recipe... It's on the stove right now OMG 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! We're having a snow storm right now so I had to make do with what I had. I didn't have ground beef (I just skipped it), nor green onions (pls don't hate lol) so I used a whole medium yellow onion instead. And I made only the broth part, which I will divide and use in 2 or 3 soups. It's warming up right now from the 6 cups of water, and I added mushrooms (I dry my own mushrooms in the summer), and I tasted it... YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I might even do one soup with some kimchi topping. I might add a bit of coconut milk to one soup. This is a WINNER ok off to watch the rest while it warms up lolll oh and... hello from Canada!
We made the gochujang kalguksu last night and I now have a new food obsession - I can’t stop thinking about it! Prefect for a cold winter night, the broth is slightly thickened by the noodles and it’s the perfect comfort food. We love your recipes and your cook book, keep them coming! 💗
Great video. I always enjoy watching Claire eat. I gifted my college son your cookbook for Christmas. He loves Korean food, but doesn't know much about cooking in general. He's excited to checkout your cookbook and give it a try.
I live in Washington and it’s clammy cold rainy and windy. This is perfect soup for the weather here!! Please create more easy simple dishes for us viewers , we love it!!🤩
Because of Aaron, I've started putting green onions on everything! Even my spaghetti. So yum. Reminds me of chives! Bought your cookbook as a gift for someone and I'm planning on getting one for myself. Love you guys!!
I just recently came across this channel! A former video with bloopers had me dying! So enjoyable to learn how to cook! To this day, Clair smashing that spam…. Still dying! It’s like the Asian version of chef Jean Pierre! I love the light heartedness! Cracking me up while learning how to cook! That’s cooking! Love love love!!!
This was uploaded at the perfect time. I will cook this instead of getting takeout! Lol. As always the dishes look delicious. By the way Aaron and Claire love the cookbook. It was great how you provided the essential ingredients needed. It was very helpful. Love the video! 😊
I just wanna thank you I feel like I have been making your gochujang kalguksu for a year now but this video is only 11 months old 😂 it is one of my absolute favorite soups ever it’s amazing ty so much! It’s raining again in California which gives me permission to make some gochujang kalguksu!!! And share with my friends❤
Why do I always watch these Aaron and Claire videos when I’m sooooo hungry, but can’t eat for some reason. These videos are AGONIZING to watch when you are hungry and you know the food is delicious!
Aaron I just love you and Claire. Glad to see your cookbook, I will be ordering it. I have all your ingredience but the noodles. I am glad they are in your recipes. I shop at the Asian market for authenticity so I am really glad to get all the correct names of things. My son in law in South Korean and every meal has to have white rice and kimchi. So I love your channel with all your wonderful recipes. Thanks so much for all your delicious food. You give me great ideas. Yesterday was a meatless holy day and we had tuna noodle Casserole and I put the gojuchung pepper flakes in it. It was great. Keep up the good work.❤️😊
Hi Aaron and Claire.... I've been watching your videos for a little while now and have made a few of your recipes as well and we really (hubby and me) like them. So... that being said... I purchased your cookbook and it arrived today. I bought it with some birthday money. It's a beautiful book!! I am so excited to drool over its photos and recipes and choose some to start out with. Thank you for a wonderful, quality product. I will treasure it!! Hugs, Penny Sue
Still enjoying all your recipes! I also purchased your amazing cookbook & referred it to my friends! I love mandu and thanks for the kal manduguk recipe!! 😋😊 I have all of the ingredients except for the noodles. We have a huge Korean supermarket that we go to frequently, so no problem in buying the noodles as I have to go there anyway to shop for other Korean groceries.
Have been cooking Korean recipes for 40 years, but no soups. Will be trying your soup recipes now. I am allergic to eggplant, zucchini, and squash (all members of the nightshade family). What is best to use as a substitute for the zucchini? Love your book and your videos!
I have loved all the videos and been following for a while! I have tried some recipes following the videos and they turned out great!! Just ordered the book now and I can't wait to try all the recipes 😍
Just made a simple version of this without any meat as wanted to taste the soup without distraction, absolutely amazing flavour - zingy lips n all 🤗 Added to my regular cooking schedule as a staple, there is an Asian supermarket in my town which I did not even know about until today so popping round to see if they stock the Red Chile and bean paste as whilst my English supermarket has Red Chile Paste it's a very small jar at an exorbitant price as it's considered gourmet, lol.
Wow... I made the first recipe, I've never made a soup like that before, asian style. Absolutely amazing, I love it so much! I definitely don't have Korean ancestors, the Gochujang is plenty spicy enough for me haha.
We need a video about Claire's workout routine. She loves her food and has an amazing husband who cooks for her all the time. And she's still normal sized??
Perfect! I Have been cutting on the instant ones, so I've been craving one. Can we sub the korean soy bean paste with miso (that's what's available in the fridge), or is it too different?
I'm most definitely going to order your cook book. Korean food is my all time favorite foods to eat. So delicious 😋🤤. I just had Korean kimchi stew with tofu oh my goodness it was so good....😍 My tummy was so happy 😊. I love your channel.
I love your videos they have helped me add more recipes to what I know and daughter loves the Korean noodle soup. Do you have any recipes that are non-spicy or can add spicy at the end? My daughter isn't big on spicy yet even though my husband and I love spicy.
I got your cookbook for Christmas and I'm loving it! So far I have made 2 noodle dishes = Jjimdak and Japchae. They were delicious and my son's new favorite are glass noodles. Thank you for this noodle compilation.
Wow! This looks delicious!! It just made my midnight cravings for food stronger😅 I will definitely be trying this out soon! Also, does Aaron's way of speaking remind anyone of J-Hope from BTS? I couldn't help but think that especially the 'Dont worry about it!' 😂 I feel like J Hope wud say the same thing if something was wrong/missing.
Dear Aron, did I something wrong or is there no chapters for this video? Depending on lenght of one video and how many verious segments are shown, I get that it might be to much of a hassle to add X chapters. Nonetheless I do enjoy this feature. ^^ Thanks for all the food inspiration.
So I've been going through alot of your videos and making a number of the ones I can in a tiny kitchen but have you done a video or plan to do one of foods that are easy to take to work for lunch?
