Rivera 608 saves, best song, incredible athlete. Here comes the cutter, try and hit it. Best ever!
It's inconceivable that this list does not include Eric Gagne and "Welcome to the Jungle". He still holds the record for consecutive saves at 84.
I know right!? It's almost as if eating a "balanced breakfast" during that period has an effect on how people view him today! The ABSOLUTE NERVE of some people, right?
gagne didnt last very long... and yeah, steroids
I was at that Vaughn game when I was a teenager. That place went crazy. Never be another one like him.
WILD THING! YOU MAKE MY HEART SING!
As an Ohioan I can appreciate Ricky Vaughn but as a pirates fan Joel Hanrahan entering to Before I forget and David Bednar coming in to Renegade by Styx are both pretty awesome to witness
Ok, I thought that Mo was 1, but I didn’t know Hoff played Hells Bells
Diaz intro simply the 👌 best
How MO isn't first is absolutely insane. He's one 1 in everything.
I was so glad Trevor time made it! Being in the stadium when hells bells began was a whole other experience!! Especially when they went to the World Series!
Mariano!! The Best!!
Eric Gagne literally told the batter it was Game Over. And it was.
Gagne had the best 2 year stretch of any reliever ever. His curve ball was filthy.
But, he was a Dodger, so fuck him.
*VIVA LOS PADRES!!!*
Like you said...subjective. But I find it hard to put anything above Enter Sandman/Mariano Rivera. Indisputably the greatest closer of all time, the music and lyrics as he entered -- particularly in his prime years -- always seemed perfect:
Say your prayers, little one
Don't forget, my son
To include everyone
Hoffman>Mo must be nice to play for the greatest dynasty your whole career.
@@XBLBuLLeT In your dreams maybe, but not by any objective metric. Career WAR: Mo 56.3, Hoffman 28.1 Career ERA+: Mo 205, Hoffman 141. FIP: Mo 2.76, Hoffman 3.08. What other stats you want to try? All of those I just listed are park and team independent so it makes no difference what team they played for. Hoffman was a great closer, but there was only one Mo. The fact you would try to claim Hoffman was better just shows you know absolutely nothing about baseball.
Mo would've never had that entrance if it weren't for Hoffman. Yankees didn't start playing Enter Sandman for him until they saw Trevor come out to Hell's Bells in the '98 Series. It is the OG shutdown closer entrance.
@@DirectionlessStudent he knows nothing about baseball because your feelings got hurt? Get over it. Go read some more stats so you can convince yourself that you're smart you dork.
It's subjective. It's a close 1/2. Lifelong Yankee fan, im biased and ill admit it. Hoffman was a beast.
Jordan Romano running out the pen with Tsunami blaring is so iconic
I had season tickets to the Padres back then. Just the sound of the mission bells and the goose bumps would travel up my back and down my arms. And they still do apparently... 😄
I wish Eric Gagne made the list. Having “Welcome to the Jungle” as your theme song is badass and the fact that he played in LA made it that much better.
Same, I expected him here
GAME 🕶️ OVER
Hoffman really was the Undertaker of the closers lol 😂🔥
John Rocker in New York will always be my favorite. Dude had real heat with the fans it was a spectacle.
He's only not on the list because of his comments. If this was an actual list of entrances and didn't take into account the snowflakes who would attack the lists creator it would have rocker as 1. No one else is even close.
🤨
I understand it was a one time thing, but Randy Johnson coming out of the M’s bullpen to “Welcome to the Jungle” against the Yankees will always be the best bullpen entrance
Hoffman’s gave you chills.
