Thank you for this! I’m turning 50 this yr, I have a 27 yr old son w/special needs and I’ve basically given my life to him. I decided the year I turned 50 to do something for myself so I applied to a CNA program and start next month. I can’t wait! But I’m nervous. I appreciate your videos and your lipstick in the beginning part is so beautiful. You’re gorgeous!
Ditto, ditto, autism momma here also decided to go to CNA school at 42, look at us 🎉🎉🎉 Thise babies will give you a second wind, literally make you feel like you can do anything.
First day alone today!! I’m nervous but excited. Had someone following me yesterday but did most myself, even all the books for the first time. Been putting my all into this for months now!! Glad to see it paying off and being worth it like I knew it would be, now I’m just trying to be the best I can be!

it pains me that after studding so hard I end up failing 💔🥺, I've taken the exams for the 5th time now and still didn't succeed, i wonder how those who succeeded did it.
I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the cna last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mrs Amelia

I asked because there seems to be no legal pathway for foriegn trained CNA to work in USA as obtainable Nursing. Have few months till completion of my study but have plans to become a nurse in the future. By the way, I am in one European country with language barrier

Beautiful lady, thanks for the tips i so much love the fact that you still spare out time for your skin care, Please do you have tips about skincare routines i break out easily this days
Out of curious, are you a full-time CNA or part-time? I've enrolled in a CNA program and am going to school for nursing. Im considering doing night shifts but how lenient are hours given to CNA's? Thank you! Coming from EMS and it is a different environment
I want to be the equivalent of a CNA in my country when I'm finished with this school year, but there's so many people who say that it's a bad degree and that aspiring CNAs should give up. And my parents also think it's not a good idea. How do I deal with people like that? I'm really passionate about helping people, so I do wanna be a CNA. It's just others being negative.
Firstly, always remember to do what makes you feel your best. Also, I see CNA as a steppingstone to whatever else you want to do in the healthcare field. So there’s always room for growth and elevation. However, ultimately you always have to do what makes you feel your best and do not allow someone else to decide that for you.
what is your opinion and advice about having knowledge of someone who says they are a CNA but their license is expired. I feel they are no longer a CNA. Major issue is when I search their name in their state, there is no record. I looked up random last names and saw expired. So if she is expired there would be a record but nothing is listed. So they are lying or they were in another state but my gut says they never were. I asked for documentation but have been waiting days so that also gives me red flags.

Wish I did. But my program uses scenarios and mock charting sheets to give the students opportunities to practice counting and recording fluids, documenting VS, and things like that. As much as we can to allow them to practice the skill and mimic electronic documentation. You're in the age of technology, if you can work on a computer and know how to achieve basic computer tasks, you'll quickly learn how to chart don't worry 😊❤

As far as double-gloving goes, as a phlebotomist, it was considered malpractice, because it actually causes most gloves to tear (like condoms) and it wastes money. HOWEVER, it looks like you’re using those super soft floppy gloves, which behave differently. Double-gloving just gives me the same bad vibes as those people who tear the finger off. Like, why even put on gloves if ur just gonna tear the finger off?
Be prepared however for the other CNA to hog the cart and trash can. I can't believe how selfish these people can be. I have to walk all the way to THEIR rooms for a sheet because they take the cart with them. Totally entitled jerks. So many of them. I don't know about glycolic acid four times a shift. I do like to use it but not that much. Holy cow! But if it works for you that's great! It saved me from breakouts as well.

❤ It's changing -- altho slowly. That's why I always spoil the CNAs on my unit. Small fruit baskets, flowers, movie tickets, or sports paraphernalia for the male CNAs.... a variety of things I like to do for them. These sort of things don't take a big chunk out of our budget and they are so worth it! ❤😊
Triple gloving is because you scared to get into the groove of things..grow up..its a dirty job, quit wasting and looking for exuses to make it easier for you, be a rogue!
I've taught students of different health care roles MAs, CNAs, RNs and RN to BSN, and I believe you should be able to make the transition without any problems. They're two distinctly different roles with different types of tasks and responsibilities, but you already have a great foundation, so you should do fine ❤
