Love this video, and you seem so sweet! I recently started a job as a medical scribe working about 10 hour shifts. I’ve been watching a bunch of “day in the life” videos of healthcare workers. I’m only worried because I only get a 10 minute break and a lot of current employees at my clinic are telling me to leave and I’m conflicted on what to do.
Thank you so much! And I would definitely look into asking if you can get your break increased or maintain where you’re currently at until you can find a better facility.

I’m a Dietary Aide at a hospital and I’m getting my CNA license. I absolutely love the 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week. I don’t like 5 day work weeks. 😂 My coworkers told me to speak with the nursing supervisor because they’re quick to hire CNA’s. Well, I spoke to him, he told me to apply that same day, and two days later, I got an email to do a phone interview! 🥹 3/7/24 is my phone interview; wish me luck guys!
I was a CNA (PSW we're called in Canada) for 10 years. I've been out of it for 6 years, working as a coordinator in the corporate/housing/shelter world. No thank you!! I will stick with nursing home facilities while I finish my degree. The hospital was hell
A coworker of mine just got her license and went to an interview in a hospital. They told her she could get up to 40 pts and that they have lots of callouts (meaning she would more than likely end up having to do doubles)….. I’m like is 40 pts even legal!? Like wtf. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Do you change someone's diaper if they poop on themselves? Serious question cus my mother was a cna about 20 yrs ago but worked in nursing homes and thats all she talked about doing...
Never in my life would have done this changing diaper and wiping but you’ll get used to it. My LPN program requires CNA certification but never planning to work as a CNA but I still did CNA in home care for 4months. Lightness job and less stressful job I’ve done, yes! It’s physically demanding but I wasn’t mentally drained like I’m experiencing right now in nursing school.
It says PCA there, not CNA. CNA are state licensed and can work anywhere in the state..PCA can only work in the facility they were trained. Not quite the same, but similar.

I'm a CNA in the UK. We call it HCA here. I was raised in FL and want to go back so bad. I like how in the UK we don't say diapers we call them pads so as to not patronise the adult patients who need them.
Hey boo !! Is taking vitals hard ? Like the concept and remembering what to do and what to press 😣 … I’m in transport rn but I wanna be a nurse tech so badddd
Three years as a CNA at a Nursing home. Ya’ll!!! The struggle is real! Census everyday was about 15 to 1 CNA. Most of the time, half of the patients are totals! CNAs in nursing homes don’t last long.
Hello! I'm an IT graduate and ever since I was a kid, I wanted to work in the healthcare field. I want to become a CNA. Do you guys have an idea how I can become one? Is it still possible to switch career?

I appreciate your time to post this video, so informative! How long did it take you to get comfortable, confident in the job and how long did it take for getting your time management routine?
You are so welcome. It took me some time and I’m still learning. However, deciding to be patient and confident in myself as I’m learning my way through caring for patients has helped me so much. And I’ve always been a big planner and enjoyed making to do lists. This has helped me stay organized and on top of things. Especially with juggling nursing school and being a CNA. ❤️
As long as you have some equivalent to a high school diploma, for example, a GED. Along with your CNA certificate and some experience as a nursing assistant, you should be qualifiable for a position at the hospital as a CNA.
My question is do you have to really do all of the work nurses don’t do for example I’ve seen that ppl say you’re a certified booty wiper and I just want to know your experience on that?😅im sorry if its tmi but please let me know!
can anyone tell me how the in home care is, i’m about to be a cna and i think i would be good in that setting but can anyone elaborate on it more i don’t yet see myself wanted to be a doctor or a nurse. so i think that would be ok also im in my early 20s im 24 currently
Hello, I advise you to contact Dr Luther if you are preparing for your nclex, be it RN, PN or CNA He is the reason I and my husband are very happy today working as Rns
Nice video , I wanted to ask us there any difference between certified nursing assistant and nursing assistant? And if i get the nursing assistant certificate online can I work in a hospital? Or only care home ?
I’m not sure if you can earn your CNA online, because you are required to earn credit for the skills portion of the CNA. And certified nursing assistant means that you were credited, and you have certification. And a nursing assistant, may just have experience but no certificate, which may put them at a disadvantage.
Some places will give you a grant so you can get a certificate through a school I would explore your local workforce authority for options and opportunities
I am not sure. I recommend you do some research online and also try to ask one of the counselors were professors at the school you earn your diploma from.
As long as you have a work permit to work in the USA or a green card, you can get CNA training and apply to work as a CNA. Your pharmacy diploma is not a substitute. Some places train you for free and when you’re done, you may be required to work at one of their facilities.
God bless you all ! if you need anything in life always look to God ! Prayer is communication with God , and communication is key in a healthy relationship! Jesus loves you all so much ! don’t forget to read your bible today !! have a blessed day !!💗

I've always believed CNA Test is not for all but studying, you need God's grace to pass
I studied for months and couldn't pass, I guess passing is a blessing
Passing the CNA test is when you study,if you can’t study or have time for studies l'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
Yes you're correct but remember heaven helps those who help themselves, try studying if you can't study then get yourself a good help

I'm a CNA in the UK. We call it HCA here. I was raised in FL and want to go back so bad. I like how in the UK we don't say diapers we call them pads so as to not patronise the adult patients who need them.
currently doing my cna, doing practicals next week
Hey boo !! Is taking vitals hard ? Like the concept and remembering what to do and what to press 😣 … I’m in transport rn but I wanna be a nurse tech so badddd
No! Once you do it consistently for a bit it becomes second nature!
Does hospitals accept newly grad CNA?? Or if they do,
Do nurses train CNA who doesn’t have experience?
Yes yes
I got my certificate 1 month ago,and I'm so nervous,I want to work on hospitals too do you have any advice??any app or website that helped you out??I want to lear as much I can.Thank you for your video❤
I just graduated from my CNA program. Waiting to take state boards. I’m so excited for what this field is about to bring me! I’m going as far as I can get!!
Hi. Nice video! Where are you get CNA? Thanks!
Okay but you are sooo pretty!!!
Thank you ❤️
Hello, I advise you to contact Dr Luther if you are preparing for your nclex, be it RN, PN or CNA He is the reason I and my husband are very happy today working as Rns
@@auhneja2164 that's my goal. I plan on becoming a CNA while going to school in the PN program.
I have question, can you work in the hospital as a CNA without a HSE???????? Im currently taking classes to get a HSE diploma.
As long as you have some equivalent to a high school diploma, for example, a GED. Along with your CNA certificate and some experience as a nursing assistant, you should be qualifiable for a position at the hospital as a CNA.
@@auhneja2164 ok. Thank you
Some training schools don’t require hsd
Keep up the good work
My question is do you have to really do all of the work nurses don’t do for example I’ve seen that ppl say you’re a certified booty wiper and I just want to know your experience on that?😅im sorry if its tmi but please let me know!
Big difference between working at a facility or working at the hospital…. I think I’m going to the hospital
Hi great video. Is a CNA considered the same as PCT in the hospital?
Yes
welllllll.. pct is a cna with extra skills or experience - normally

Just curious what floor were you on in this video?

Anyone know if I could do this just as a summer job in between school years?
You could look into PRN positions but I'm not sure if this is a summer job type thing
Thank you so much for this video. I really appreciate. It is very helpful. How many patients do you have to take care of?
Thank you so much. At the facility I am currently at, the patient a CNA ratio does not exceed 8.
would like to talk sometime about this field. what state do you work in
How can i get job in USA after completed my diploma in nursing from india? Which position will i get as a diploma nurse, RN or CNA ?
I’m not sure about the curriculum in India. However, a RN is a degree and CNA is a certificate course.
How do you know who to get report from? Is there like a board where you see the previous shift cna?
When I come in on the floor, there’s only two other CNA’s. So once I get my assignment, I go to those CNA’s and get report on that specific patient.
Am also a CNA how can I get a job over there
גם אני עובד בזה אבל יש במדינה שלי מלחמה אז העבודה מאוד קשה לא שקט😢
What's the difference between a cna and a psw?
I’m not sure what a psw is. But a CNA is a certified nursing assistant. Some of the tasks CNAs so are mentioned in this video.
Does CNA get/give report to new shift nurse or it is responsibility of RN?
No, at my facility we only give report to the onboarding cna.
What's the hrly pay for a CNA in the state you're in
In my area, according to good gel, CNA pay can range from $12 to $25+ / hourly.
What is CNA?
Certified Nursing Assistant
Nice video , I wanted to ask us there any difference between certified nursing assistant and nursing assistant? And if i get the nursing assistant certificate online can I work in a hospital? Or only care home ?
I’m not sure if you can earn your CNA online, because you are required to earn credit for the skills portion of the CNA. And certified nursing assistant means that you were credited, and you have certification. And a nursing assistant, may just have experience but no certificate, which may put them at a disadvantage.
Okay I understand thanks
Good video, but it was hard to hear you over the music.
Thank you for letting me know. I’ll make sure my voice is projected over the back ground music next time❣️
Can anyone suggest me short and cheap course for CNA ?😊
Look up schools nearby you on google.
Some places will give you a grant so you can get a certificate through a school I would explore your local workforce authority for options and opportunities
Which state is this please?
Texas
I have done pharmacy diploma can i get a chance to work there am from kenya
